Now i want to stop the insulin and control sugar levels through other means. Please advise. I am 27 years old. ## It is much safer, according to NIH reports, to start the other means first, such as diet and exercise, then drop the medication later, if your doctor approves. The typical side effects of insulin are listed as possibly including administration site reaction, headache, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia. Dietary changes to lower your sugar intake as much as possible is usually the first step. What types of foods do you eat? How much do you eat?

I've been using Ramistar H 5mg for the past 7 years after CABG bypass surgery. Is it true that prolonged usage of Ramistar could cause diabetes in an otherwise healthy individual? ## It has been known to cause elevated blood sugar levels, but that doesn't actually make some a diabetic, in many cases, it goes back to normal, once someone switches to a different medication, according to the NIH. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Are you on any other medications?
I'm a 63 yr old hypertensive diabetic , both generally controlled with medication, having a pacemaker and 3 stents. I'm also suffering from severe Erectile Disfunction for the past few years. The NIH does report that Monotrate and Ranozex have both been known to cause ED and impotence as side effects. Other common side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, and headache. UpdatedI took my second shot 2 days ago. After the first one I had nausea for one day, and small diarrhea. After second day of 2nd shot I am very nauseated, diarrhea, and heart burn or acid reflux. I am still taking janumet 50/1000 twice a day and glimpiride 1/2 mg once a day. He wanted me to drop the janumet after 6 weeks and start on just metformin and then drop the glimpiride if I got any low readings. So far my readings are ok, but not where I want to see them. Fasting ranges from 125-140. I'm wondering if N and D will go away once my body gets used to it? I've done a lot of research on this medication so I am aware of ALL the side effects. I just don't see where anyone says they stay with it long enough to know if these symptoms will subside. ## Hello, Janice! How are you doin...
Switched from Invokana to Jardiance 2 months ago. I had lost 3-4 pounds on Invokana. Since taking Jardiance I have lost an additional 7 pounds; at my lowest weight in over 30 years. DDose that was doubled edzide ## Experiencing withdrawal effects is normal when you stop a medication cold turkey, after being on it for so many years, according to the NIH. It is likely also coupled with side effects from starting the new one, so a kind of double whammy. The FDA lists the side effects of Glipizide as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pa...
