I was told by a doctor that i have a kidney or bladder problem which seems to be giving me back aches when i try to sit or stand for long periods. I have heard of Dewitts kidney pills and would like to give that a try before things get worse. Can you help me to locate this product?

I've never heard of them. Not sure if this will help but they make Dodds Kidney pills. My bad. I should have said they used to, I'm not sure if they still do or not, to be honest...
I read a few comments about these DeWitt pills. What is the big deal with them? Are they good, old pills, not being made anymore? Or a pill that's not been approved by the FDA? Or do they get people high?

DeWitt tablets worked good for me. They didn't harm me but I have noticed that medicine that may be good for healing is usually taken off the counter. I have looked for them too and found out that the drug store placed them behind the counter. I had to ask for them.

The pamphlet indicates its pharmacological action as: Diuretic with mild antiseptic action Indications: DeWits K&B is a herbal remedy, traditionally used to increase the formation of urine. Dosage and directions for use: Adults: One or two pills before each meal and at bedtime with a glass of water. Children over 12 years: One pill in the morning and evening with a glass of water and not to be given to children under 12 years unless directed by a physician. If problem persists for more than 5 days seek medical advice. WARNING: The methylene blue colorant in these pills may change the colour of the urine to blue or green whilst using it.

I live in Thailand and take them most days for lower back pain....here they can be bought in every pharmacy at a very reasonable price.... they work a treat enabling me to ride my bike up to 120km every second day and I'm close to 70.... miracle pill with absolutely no side effects..............

I have some Dewitts Bladder pills and they really, really work for urinary tract infection which is what I personally use them for. No more anti-biotics-Yippeeee!!
They contain Bucchu and Bearberry.

if you have a kiddney infection or problems try theese pills or powder its brill waterfall-d-mannose.com the lady who runs the site is anna she is lovley ,antibiotics are rubbish and only take it of dont cure it,iv lots of problems with water and below,these the only tablets that have helped hope this helps lynda

My husbands depends on DeWitt's Pills when his lower back hurts. When nothing else works, he'll take a pill for a few days and within 24-48 hrs. he feels so much better. He has no problem taking them, no side effects and the price is right. I 'm sitting here looking at the box and the active ingredients are: Salicylamide 108 mg., Potassium Nitrate 57 mg., Caffeine 7 mg. The inactive ingredients are: Acacia, Buchu, Calcium Sulfate, Gelatin, Glucose, Hydrated Silica, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Potato Starch, Shellac, Sucrose, Uva Ursi, Wheat Flour, D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40 and FD&C Yellow #6. I hope they haven't quit making them!!!!

I found this blog because my mother found the DeWitt's K&B pills very helpful and we can no longer get them in Jamaica. I'm hoping we can get them through friends in Guyana.
I think they changed the formula somewhat and that's why your pee wasn't blue (or green).
