I have been prescribed vit-d rise (to be taken once every week in the morning) 1) should it be consumed on empty stomach or after breakfast? 2) are there any specific dos and don'ts? 3) are there any side effects? (i am 69 yrs old)

I'm advised to take d rise (one sachet) but I don't know whether I should take it daily, or once a week? I have severe bone and joint pain. After menopause the pain is worse.

My Dr. has prescribed me "vpo rise D3 60k" to take once every 15 days.

However, it is not available in the market under this name. Instead, a product called "D rise 60k" is available.

Is it the same?

What are its uses & benefits?

Hi All,

D Rise is to be taken ONLY WHEN Prescribed by your doctor. ONLY your doctor can tell you exact dose, my dose is once a week for 4 week and then once a month. Do not take the dose just cause it is Vitamin D supplement. Please consult a doctor before taking this medicine. It is available on most medical stores. also follow what David said above. Also good source of Vitamin D is Fish (Salmon fish) and Meat. You can also start going in early morning sun and get sunlight, Then it is on your body system to convert it to Vitamin D. Good Luck.

Assuming that the only ingredient in this medication is Vitamin D3 (as I have not found any specific details on this drug), then yes it is ok to take it with or without food. As such, Vitamin D3 is also regarded as a safe supplement without any serious risks or side effects when taken as prescribed. I personally used to take about 5,000 IU every morning with breakfast and felt like that made all the difference when I wasn't getting enough sunshine during the day. The only "dos and don'ts" in my opinion would be that you take this vitamin as prescribed or as indicated on the packaging label. Any failure to do that and you may not get the results or levels you're looking for on your blood test.

I also don't see any reason why Vitamin D can't be supplemented in the evening hours; especially if one hasn't been outdoors all day. I don't think it would effect one's ability to go to sleep and rest well at night, but if you do find it difficult then just take it in the morning or afternoon hours.

Hi,

My Vitamin D test result shows value of 6.4 so my doc has suggested me to take D Rise vitamin D sachet 15 days once for 5 months (my age is 32). Is there any side effects are there coz of taking this sachet and is there any particular time is there to take this

my Dr prescribed vit-d rise once a week @ bedtime

test report 25-OH vitamin D3

defciency: under 20
insufficency: 20-30
sufficiency: 30-60
toxicity: over 150

With the above test report is it ok to take d rise? kindly advise me.
