8 REPLIES UpdatedActive Ingredients: -Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.05% -Clotrimazole 1% -Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1% Dosage Form: Tube Ointment Manufacturer: Collins Productos Farmaceuticos Availability: Mexico ## is it ok to use on burns ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## One product we found is called Gelmicin, a topical antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal. These products are normally sold separately in the US, whether for i...

2 REPLIES UpdatedHave a tube of Clotrimazole Beta. Dipro. cream, 1%. Don't know how long I've had it and can't interpret date code on end of tube. It is 669K 00T12 -- please tell me what the expiration date is. ## Look at the metal end of the tube and you will see the expiration date. You may need a magnifier. It is etched. ## Bob, can you see the manufacturer name on there anywhere? If so let me know, maybe it would be possible to contact them with that lot # and they could know the date based on that? And Jasmine's suggestion is probably right too, any luck with that? Interested to know either way. ## I posted the "Exp. date" etched on the end of the tube. But it's not a date! My question is, what does it translate into, datewise? Guess I'll have to query the mfr. ## Mf...

16 REPLIES UpdatedWill Gelmicin help to eliminate toenail fungus? I bought it in Mexico and want to try it on my toe nails to kill the fungus. Any ideas? ## It's worth a try, I used it a couple of times but wasn't consisting on it, I used to use fungi pen and and would make my nails "look clear" I used it for 5 months every day but in the end it didn't work. So $10 a tube for gelmicin its worth giving it a shot, just maybe use up one tube apply twice a day since it rubs off if you wear socks and see if there's any results, I'll be doing that. ## Have you guys ever looked into trying Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca) as a natural remedy for nail fungus? It does contain the antifungal Clotrimazole, so it may help, but you should only use it if a doctor has advised you to do so, because it also contains an antibiotic and a steroid, the latter of which may actually worsen some skin conditions. 4 REPLIES UpdatedHi. I went to the clinic for an infection and they gave me glenmark clotrimazole - 1 vaginal tablet. So I did use it yesterday night but today in the morning it came back out like a discharge; it was indeed the tablet that came out like a liquid. So I want to know if it's normal or if I didn't administer it properly? ## Hello, Zinlhe! How are you? Sorry about the infection. Yes, any time you use something like this that you insert vaginally, there will be some that is discharged, that is normal. It really just isn't possible for all of it to be absorbed. Some of the discharge may even have been due to the infection itself. If your symptoms don't go away in a few days, you should return to the clinic for a follow up. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just inser...

4 REPLIES UpdatedCan I drink Alcohol while taking Clotrimazole 10mg Lozenge ## The Clotrimazole Lozenge is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth and throat, such as candidiasis, also known as Thrush. And no, drinking alcohol is likely not wise, until your course of treatment is done and the infection is cleared up, because it can further disrupt the proper bacterial balance in your mouth and throat and just make things worse. Learn more Clotrimazole details here. How long are you going to be on them? ## Hello... Unfortunarely i took alcohol na after 3hrs i inserted clotrimazole in the vagina... is there any problem.. tell me wat should i do
2 REPLIES UpdatedWhat would happen if candid b cream is accidentally ingested? ## Candid B is a local "skin application" that consists of Clotrimazole and betamethasone; it is effective for localized fungal infections such as Ring worm. I don't think ingesting the cream is a very good idea to say the least and may even cause more harm than good since it is not an oral medication. Keep in mind that Candid B is not effective in widespread fungal infections. For wide spread fungal infections one would need to take "oral" anti-fungal treatments. In addition, it is not very effective in fungal infection of the nails. As far as side effects go, Clotrimazole and Betamethasone can cause skin irritation. Some people can get allergic reactions but it is quite rare. Mild burning sensation, redn...
