Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Page 9) (Top voted first)
UpdatedPlease help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?
Re: Kris (# 41)
I called TEVA they told me they bought out Actavis. They are no longer going to produce TEVA brand clonazepam...
Re: Lucy Lu (# 6)
YES, Lucy, they switched me to Accord generic-maker & it had a horrible effect on me; made me feel real lousy, unlike before w/Teva maker.
Re: Ez18 (# 76)
Yeah right contact Teva. They’re in it for the money. Glad the Brand Name worked, it made me depressed and foggy minded
Please help me. I already had a seizure 20 years ago from quitting benzos cold turkey. Have been prescribed and taking 2-3MG of TEVA klonopin a day for the last 15 years for anxiety and sleep. Now I've been switched to Accord, and after only 3 days, feel like I'm going to have a seizure again. The feeling is horrible, and the withdrawal systems are extreme. I'm also prescribed to 1 1MG of XANAX a day, but haven't been taking them because the TEVA worked so well for me, so I have a bit remaining. Is it safe too wean off klonopin completely with XANAX? Can't see my doctor again for 30 days, and am really scared for my life, literally. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. At least this thread confirmed what I feel, the Accord klonopin does not contain any benzo and it's really messed up the FDA would just force people to quit cold turkey and risk their lives.
Re: Max (# 78)
If you are having accord, you are n withdrawal, and you are justified in goingto the emergency room, let alone your doctor. Bring your bottle, they'll look at the date, th instructions, and count the pills, and they know about the TEVA problem. if not explain it to them.
Re: Eric (# 80)
I really appreciate the quick responses, but am extremely nervous about the whole situation. I left a voicemail with my doctor's office two weeks ago explaining the situation (had some TEVAS left), and never received a callback. I'm now out. I also talked to 7 pharmacists in the area, and none of them knew what was going on, or sounded concerned at all. They won't even order the brand name Klonopin for me. If I go to the ER, and hopefully find someone that knows about the TEVA situation, what do you all think they might do for me? I'd normally be sound asleep right now with no worries and ready for work in the morning. Instead, I'm wide awake sweating, shaky, and feel like I may end up in an ambulance tomorrow if not earlier. Obviously I won't be able to wean off using the Accord, so I feel like I'm at a complete loss. This is the worst experience I could ever imagine.
Re: Max (# 81)
CVS usually has brand name in stock and Walgreens can order any med you HAVE a script for. Nobody’s going to order anything if you don’t have a script. Pharmacists could care less about your current situation from what I’ve noticed over the past few years. They ’re concerned more about following the laws regarding dispensing meds appropriately and making their numbers rather than customers feelings- Sorry to say.
Do you have a family Dr? Go to your family Dr and tell them what’s going on. They can get ahold of your Psychiatrist or they can prescribe another benzo until you can get to your psychiatrist. My family Dr will prescribe any benzo I asked for. Don’t be afraid.
Re: Sylvia (# 65)
I keep trying the Actavis and it starts the itchies everytime. Now I thought I had found the answer Northstar which I kept going back to, now IT has been discontinued!! So I am up against a wall. And still itching - every since I took Actavis after the horrible Solco experience. Here's a interesting fact. My doc gave me a trial RX for lorazepam to try half the day to see how I feel on it (which is not great!) BUT I don't itch for that part of the day! I've been itching so much I had blood tests done, but was told it is probably allergy (season). My husband and I both believe it's more to it. I have less than a week to get with the two docs I am working with to make a decision before I run out of Northstar. I'd bet my bottom dollar that if I had some Mylan left, it wouldn't make me itch! I'm beginning to wonder if Mylan was a very weak drug, like a sugar pill!! I know, generics are created equal, blah, blah, blah.......
Re: GSH (# 87)
Teva is an Israeli company which has had some trouble recently. They have had to retrench, and owning multiple lines of Cloneazepam when it is now being treated as a schedule 2 drug, even though it is not, is probably not sustainable.
Re: Eric (# 91)
Why are they still making the 1mg version in both the Teva version and the Actavis version then? Seems as if it was just temporary then they would take it down from their website. I called Teva and they said they would continue to make both
Re: GSH (# 92)
I Don't believe they are. I, too am using cut-in-half 1mg tevas which my pharmacy happens to have in stock. look up Tevas website, and it shows actavis pills.
Re: James (# 95)
James, If you read through these cloneazepam threads, you will find that most people are having problems because of TEVA's disappearance. Yours is the exception to the rule with respect to TEVA experience.
Re: sara (# 2)
It’s on the prescription bottle also google the NDC and it sunk tell you everything about it..or if NDC isn’t available type generic drug of choice into search in google
Re: RockerJ (# 100)
Are they still making Solco, whered you get them and what didn't you like about the Par disintegrating tablets?
Re: Bill (# 101)
I got the Solco from CVS. Both CVS and Walgreens will have them one minute and then not have them the next, it's very annoying on top of trying to find the right ones to work. Sometimes their warehouses will have it in which both stores have to order it, and then sometimes they say that they're on backorder. They are mainly stocking the Accord and Actavis pills at stores. Remember that Mylan, Teva, and Sandoz have stopped making clonazepam currently, so I wouldn't suggest getting those brands, even if they work, to just have to eventually find something else to work again. Your Doctor has to say on the Rx "dispense Solco brand only." Also try calling your Prescription drug provider whoever that is. Tell them your situation and see if their mail order pharmacy can order that particular brand for you. Tell Customer Service that you need to talk with a Pharmacist during normal business hours.
Re: RockerJ (# 100)
I've been going through the same thing since Mylan was disc. I discovered I am allergic to blue dye in the process. I've been trying to keep from paying thru the nose for name brand Klonopin! I am on Northstar/Sandoz which has been disc. but the longer I take it the more "drugged", sleepy and tired I feel. So I am in a pickle! I did read a post on another forum where someone claimed that Name brand Klonopin seemed as strong as 2 mg. of Mylan!! I don't know what dose he tried but I assume it was less than 2 mg. I've noticed every single generic brand I've tried seemed stronger (like about twice s strong) as Mylan. I am beginning to wonder if that is why they pulled out?! I liked Mylan, took it many years, no problems. It did have some medicinal value and since I am sensitive to meds, it works for me. Now I feel like a walking victim of side effects! Yesterday I cut my dose a little and feel a little better! I wish I knew HOW MUCH weaker Mylan was compared to others. Has anyone read that if you find a generic made by the same company that makes the name brand that it is not only a better generic, but EXACTLY the same as original name brand (Klonopin)!!!! I read an article that was very informative about generics. Does anyone know if Roche/Genentech makes a generic clonazepam??? I can't find one.... Thanks
Re: Connie (# 103)
No they do not make a Roche generic. Solco Accord and Actavis are the only tablet forms left and Par and Teva are the only Disintegrated tablet forms left.
Accord Heal THC Bad drug don't waste money on it zapping memory sores in my mouth.
Accord Heal THC Bad drug don't waste money please don't try look up reviews are bad.
Sam, I was told by Teva pharmaceuticals medical rep, That high doses of opiates and generic Clonopin are very very dangerous. In combination. Just a warning my brother, I’m rolling the same boat you are!
