Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Page 4) (Top voted first)

Updated

Please help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?

They don't write down the exact amount of the fillers not even on their website. Try taking Accord. Works great for me where Teva was awful. Every drug works differently for everyone.

Re: Mike (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

Wal Mart exclusively carries it. They used to be able to order any generic requested (THOSE were the days..) but now they've signed a contract with Accord to offer only their clonazepam. Another cool thing about Wal Mart is that they offer choice of a snap cap like the old days or child proof cap, unlike Walgreens. CVS also has this feature.
Good Luck man.

Re: Barbie 616 (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

Lazaro said it Barbie. "WALLY-WORLD"; as we call it in New Mexico- has got your Accord. If you call when they're open and make 100% sure its all kosher, you can set up an account, do your transfers, etc. ALL on their uh..."location on the world wide web" so to speak. While this topic of clonazepam is up, do any of you know a pharmacy that offers Qualitest clonazepam? It is better than the brand name Roche Klonopin. It's tops. Those blue tablets with the stylized V, unscored.. soft enough they start in your mouth instantly.. I will find them eventually. I love that I found RxChat.com!

Just seeing this now in 2018! Yes Mike, I found that CVS by mail carries Accord brand. Such a relief. I’m back on my small amount and feeling fine.

Re: Mike (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

I just now saw your post as I was researching the differences in the generic brands. I've been on the .5mg dose for about 2 years. Today, I picked up my refill & noticed the pill color was different. Realized it's due to the pharmacy changing manufacturers. The ones I picked up today are Accord & the RX was filled at Walgreens, as usual. I live in Indianapolis, but not sure if Walgreens stock varies by city/state. Maybe check your local Walgreens, if available? Good luck!

Re: Mylan Bestie (# 35) Expand Referenced Message

I've unfortunately had a seizure, roughly 4 years back, due to me actually 'boycotting' the Mylan generic. In regards to the Accord generic clonazepam, sources I've gathered, mainly from here and other Internet resources, A LOT of people claimed that Accord, was possibly a "cousin", or subsidiary of Roche. I looked at my 0.5, and 1mg clonazepam, and the imprints certainly appear to look that way, which would explain the potency. It's a joke, how there are basically NO overseas inspectors at these plants overseeing OP's, and QC, notably in China, due to a "lack of FDA employees not holding the proper criteria, and passports to travel outside of the country", and just recently, believe it or not, the DEA has actually STEPPED BACK from pharmaceutical companies and major distributors, thus reducing many "outsiders" to view operations, read and interpret quality control reports, batch testing, and most importantly, if their generic's composition is within the 80%-125% range. Money lining the pockets of these CEO's, at our expense.

Try having some other illness. I don't know if it's the Accord or the illness. My heart's just ridiculous. Trying to get into see a doctor asap.

Re: David (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

This is the order of best generics to worst:

Teva - A rated generic
Accord - rated A/B
Mylan - one of the worst generic manufacturers

About 85% of Mylan’s drugs are rated B/C.

Re: Mylan Bestie (# 31) Expand Referenced Message

I'm back again - went through cold turkey withdrawal from Teva when the pharmacy switched me to Accord. Horrible. Accord has no Benzo in their clonazepam; therefor the withdrawal. Had a U/A in the ER and they found no Benzo in my urine. SOOOO I'm weaning myself off the Accord and feel better already. Have breathing problems - may or may not be due to the Accord - but no more nausea, no headache today so far. I think I'll do yoga breathing if I feel a panic attack coming on. Am wondering what Accord is supposed to do to alleviate anxiety? They certainly are NOT like the .5 mg Teva that I took for about 13 years. Oh, and through the entire withdrawal I didn't have any help from my psy's office - no return calls, no nothing. Finally called my PCP and she got me through it. I think I want to be done with this addicting stuff....

Re: Sam (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

I just got 90 last month of 1mg accord and it worked fine for me. I broke them in half if the anxiety was low and at the end of the month I had 35 1mg pills left, never had that before. Now this month I have Teva 1mg, I'm going to see how they work compared to accord. I been on klonopin for about 5 yrs and never really compared them, the best way to do it is brake them in half and take as needed, that's the best way really to tell which one is working for you.

Re: Connie (# 54) Expand Referenced Message

Accord felt like it had none of the active ingredient so I went into cold turkey withdrawal. Had horrific time with it including seizure. Managed to get to Actavis (with Xanax in between) and am now taking Actavis .5 mg. Almost identical to Teva so it's working fine so far. Accord is made in China; Actavis in New Jersey.

Find individually owned pharmacies folks and they will 99% of the time order the generic manufacturer that you prefer.

Re: Kris (# 41) Expand Referenced Message

Unfortunately Mylan did decide to discontinue clonazepam. I called them and sent an email asking to please reconsider. If they get enough people that need it, you never know. I know it's wishful thinking but it's worth a try...

Re: David (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

You need a new pharmacist. If one gets mad at you for this issue, he is not a professional, and knows little about generics. For him to say x is the best -for you- means he needs to retire or change jobs. Ask your doctor fora recommendation, hopefully someone he/she works with often.

Re: Sylvia (# 59) Expand Referenced Message

I just started a week ago and have had two bouts of dizziness (one was severe) especially since I've never had this kind of dizziness in my life! At first it seemed fine and much like the Mylan I was used to, but after it got into my system it all changed. Now I am at odds which one to try, also am itching all over a lot and taking antihistamine in tiny amounts seems to set the dizziness off. I have tried five , Yes 5 different ones lately and I am wondering why there are so many intolerable side effects with generics. I have been on clonazepam for close to 20 years and have changed generics twice (not by choice) and have never had a problem until this year! Something is wrong. If I could get my old Mylan back I would be okay........what gives? Anyone? The least offensive one I've tried lately was Northstar and I haven't seen a lot about that one.

Re: Connie (# 63) Expand Referenced Message

I agree - what is going on! Teva was my prescription for many years - now Actavis is what I'm using- after withdrawal when I went on Accord, then a short time on Xanax. The nausea is getting less and less frequent, but I hadn't related the itching to the clonazepam. I had thought it was because of the heparin shots I was given in my belly when I had a heart attack on June 30. It was after I got home from the hospital that I started on the Actavis and the itching started, now when I think about it. I'm also taking 1/2 a Benadryl at night, which helps, but can't take it during the day or the dizziness comes back. I feel as though I'm trapped at home because of these meds. I really hope the FDA hops on this dilemma because it is affecting so many people. (Sort of like the plastic cabbage that is being sold in the UK - made in China, I believe. Very interesting video on that subject, too.) Who can we trust anymore???? I know we're all different, but there must be something out there for those of us who need a trustworthy clonazepam for our well-being.

Re: Connie (# 64) Expand Referenced Message

A correspondent on either this thread or another had three U/A's - two while she was taking Accord, which showed no Benzos, and one after she went on another manufacturer's clonazepam, which showed Benzos in the analysis. I followed her example and when I was in the ER after I started taking Accord, I asked them to do a U/A on me and there were no Benzos. Switching suddenly from TEVA to Accord gave me cold turkey withdrawal. I don't know if the FDA has analyzed the Accord vs. Klonopin, which is the original formula. I know Klonopin and TEVA worked for me for 13 years; now I am struggling with Actavis, because it is not quite the same as TEVA. Have to take a slightly larger dose to achieve the same effect as Klonopin or TEVA.

The Actavis brand doesn't come close to the Teva generic does it? It don't for me

Re: Sylvia (# 69) Expand Referenced Message

Like ive said in other threads, the name brand klonopin is trash and is not worth the money. It left me foggy minded and depressed. In my opinion the Actavis or the Mylan generics were better but no where near Teva. I have stockpiled about 175 Teva pills after thinking something like this would happen. (I constantly worry about stuff like this happening) I only take one .5 mg at night so that should keep me happy for about 6 months until I can find another pill option or just give me time to come off this. I'm tired of these generic companies selling out to other companies and stopping production. This should not be allowed.
