Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord
UpdatedPlease help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?
Hi Eric,
Sorry to hear about your experience with the different makers of Clonazepam. I hope you've gotten around to feeling better since the timing of your post.
As far as inactive ingredients are concerned, listed below are the National Drug Codes for each manufacturer's version of Clonazepam. If you click on the NDC links you'll be able to view a list of these binders and fillers for closer comparison.
Mylan (0.5mg tabs 0378-1910-77)
Mylan (1mg tabs 0378-1912-77)
Mylan (2mg tabs 0378-1914-01)
Teva (0.5mg tabs 0093-0832)
Teva (1mg tabs 0093-0833)
Teva (2mg tabs 0093-0834)
Accord (0.5mg tabs 16729-136)
Accord (1mg tabs 16729-137)
Accord (2mg tabs 16729-138)
I hope this helps!
Where is the NDC link? for clonazepam information of different manufacturers and doses?
I'd like to know the inactive ingredients in all of the clonazepam doses and manufacturers, including Teva,
Accord and Mylan, as well as how people do on it.
This is a tricky situation. The mylan was working halfway decent for me for a while then the last refill didn't seem right, even when I cut the pill in half it was like a rock and didn't work well at all, made my condition worst. These pharmaceutical companies aren't consistent. But know one thing never ever try Sandoz..they are dangerously horrible! As for the Teva and Qualitest they are also horrible! I'm going to try Accord on my next refill and hope and pray that their brand is decent. Hope that you will soon find one that works well for you..
Sad to say but all clonazepams are NOT the same..like they like to tell you in the emergency room when you come across another brand or a batch that was made in India or some place the manufacturer feels it's cheaper at your expenses and quality of life.. definitely NOT the same... So please beware! Your body knows the difference and reacts to it..
Teva 2mg generic clonazepam is very potent and efficacious, much more than Mylan or Qualitest or Sandoz. I cannot comment on the 1 mg tablets
Took .5mg Yellow Qualitest for years and supposedly they are out of stock. Pharmacy switched me to orange Accord. It's horrible.
i can understand as the pharmacy has change my generic klonopin from mylan /teva/ northstar/ to accord health thats where i had my problem, the very first dose of accord 1mg gave me a serious headache, tightness in chest and severe nausea within a half hour, i was having a bad reaction to it, so not all generics are the same, i ended up in er, where they treated me, i mean wth, drs stated it must be the inactive ingreds that caused my reaction they gave a anoter relaxer ,stomach meds and beadryl and something for my head ache, of course the pharmacy would not takehedrug back, so i had to see the dr to get me diff dose to keep me from going into withdrawl
I have taken Teva 1 mg and 2 mg at bedtime.Teva has always worked best for me. Does anyone take Accord clonazepam? I have been using 2 pharmacies, because CVS does not carry 30 mg oxycodone. They do have Teva Clonazepam, but the rite aid, where I get my oxycodone only carries Accord clonazepam.
Dear sara, you can call the pharmaceutical companies and request information (I get it by mail) about your meds, then skim ahead to "inactive ingredients" and write down or type a Word document listing all the inactive ingredients under each brand. I did this myself with Mylan vs Teva vs Sandoz.
I was on clonazepam 2mg by teva and they were s*** and I told the pharmacist. She gave me C2 and I can take just half and it does work better than taking 5 teva 2mg tabs. She even told me they're not selling them no more.
For the past 6 months I have been taking 1 milligram clonazepam made by Mylan. In addition, this past month I was forced to take home Adderall manufactured by the same Mylan company. It would be an understatement to say that I had never before experienced such a prolonged, never ending bout of anxiety. It was only until my pharmacy gave me the Teva brand clonazepam that I realized that for months I had basically been taking a sugar pill. Unbelievable. To seal the deal, I had always taken Teva brand Adderall. When I was given the Mylan brand the past month I thought I would have a heart attack. It's sad that here in America, where mental illness is continually on the rise, that we can not be provided with a safe, consistent generic medication. It's true: all we need to do us follow the money to learn the truth of these multibillion dollar drug manufacturers. Scary...
I am dealing with this situation right now! I've been taking orange .5 clonazepam from Accord for 1.5 years at bedtime; now my pharmacy has given me TEVA yellow .5 clonazepam and I've been having anxiety symptoms every since. For about 3 weeks now. I discussed with my psychiatrist today and she said that the inactive ingredients can be different. Aha! Went to my pharmacy and they are no longer carrying the Accord brand. Bummer for me. I'm calling other local pharmacies to see if I can get the specific Accord brand. Seems like I have solved the mystery to this "new" anxiety. Thank you all for having this discussion as it makes me feel better just knowing there is truth in medicines being slightly different when manufactured by different companies (in different countries) etc.
I have beet taking clonazepam ( 2 mgs) for 23 years. Teva was the generic equivalent . But my pharmacist switched to the Sandoz generic I told him that Sandoz type was no good. Other people I know say they are not good at all. I Pissed Off my pharmacist. He said that Sandoz is the best generic. I reviewed this page and a few other websites. About 80 percent agree that Sandoz is crap. Ask your pharmacist. He/She
talk about the inactive ingrediances and binding agents If the Sandoz pill is crumbly and fall apart, the clonazepam is no good. I was told this happens some times because some one is not doing their job
I've been on Teva (blue) 1 mg Clonazepam for years. This week I went by and picked it up. I took one tablet at noon and by 2:30 pm, I was covered with red bumps everywhere; struggling to breathe. Looked at the pill. A different manufacturer. I took two benadryl capsules to calm down but now my head hurts. This one is made by Mylan. It's a lighter blue, similar to another Mylan, a light green colored one. I've never had a reaction to them before but the pharmacy states this will be the one I'd get in the future. I will go into withdrawals not taking my Clonazepam. I can't risk taking it and benadryl along with my other bedtime meds. Why can't pharmacies stick to one company rather than switching to a different one when it affects the patient's health. Unhappy camper.
Re: LeeLee (# 12)
I am having the same problem. Did you find a pharmacy that carries Accord?
They don't write down the exact amount of the fillers not even on their website. Try taking Accord. Works great for me where Teva was awful. Every drug works differently for everyone.
Re: Mike (# 15)
Wal Mart exclusively carries it. They used to be able to order any generic requested (THOSE were the days..) but now they've signed a contract with Accord to offer only their clonazepam. Another cool thing about Wal Mart is that they offer choice of a snap cap like the old days or child proof cap, unlike Walgreens. CVS also has this feature.
Good Luck man.
Re: sara (# 2)
Dear Sara, you can call the pharmaceutical companies and request information (I get it by mail) about your meds. Or simply go to tevagenerics.com, Mylan.com, etc. and pull up the FULL PRESCRIBING INFORMATION that they legally must provide to the public; Skim ahead to "inactive ingredients" and write down or copy and paste to type a Word document listing all the inactive ingredients under each brand so you can compare. I did this myself with Mylan vs. Teva. vs Northstar. vs. Klonopin (brand). Good luck!
Re: Lucy Lu (# 6)
And the orange Accord works great for me whereas the Teva does nothing. ALL drugs work differently for everyone. So it's impossible to say that someone shouldn't try this drug or that. Even if one drug works for you it doesn't mean it will still work 6 months or a year from now.
Re: Sam (# 8)
I take Accord Clonazepam. It works great for ME. That doesn't mean it will work out for you. Every single drug works differently for each person. I took Teva and it did nothing for me. But I wouldn't tell you not to take it. It has to be your decision. You could go to other pharmacies and ask if they have it or if they could order it. Someone on here said that Wal-Mart uses Accord exclusively.

Yes that is what the company told me. I wish they would bring it back anyway. They said out of an abundance of caution. Which is worse…no pills at all?
Re: Kita (# 276)
Only one left here is SolCo.
Re: Josh (# 280)
A big NO. Tried Teva. It’s horrid. Felt like I was on nothing. Now only one left is SolCo. Works but the pills crumble when trying to cut into quarters. Filler must be cheap. I was doing so well on Accord. Talked to pharmacist. He suggested going out of our areas since different manufacturers handle different areas but I think everyone is out of Accord frankly. Such a mess with no solutions.
Re: WOW (# 282)
Pharmacy told me. Not sure when it will be back
Re: Kita (# 281)
Which was in MAY? Who told ya?
Re: Josh (# 280)
Last I heard they are on backorder
Anyone know if Accord 0.5 mgs are still available?
Re: Kita (# 278)
How do you know this?
Re: Bob (# 277)
It is in back order at the moment. Not sure for how long it will stay like that. The company is going through FDA audit and was require to make some improvements to their manufacturing processes.
Re: Kita (# 276)
Is Accord no longer available?
