Clonazepam Help Me (Page 18) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have always used the same brand of clonazepam. However they changed what is in the medication. I've been gravely ill because my body can't take the change. Now I want to not take it any longer because it's making me ill. How can I detox slowly if I don't have a decent batch of clo that agrees with me? If anyone has any real information please let me know. I'm ill feeling every day if I take it it makes me ill and get withdrawal If I don't take it I get still getting withdrawal.
Hi Jacqueline, I'm not doing that good with my eyesight. It seems to change every day extreme light sensitivity. I think the medications they have me on after the stroke are making my vision worst. The Mylan clonazepam is working good. And yes I can't get to the chaplet that much but I was there with my sister on Tuesday..I do pray for you often. Some days I feel hopeless. It hasn't been easy but I haven't given up.
Trusting in Jesus is my only hope.
Sarah it may help if you can tolerate one of the anti depressants. As for as these medicines a person thinks they are doing the right thing then end up in worse shape than they were. I thought trying the sub ox zone would get me off the pain med now I can't stop the suboxzone. The nausea and diarrhea is horrible. I want off of it and can't seem to do it. I can't tell if Prozac and Remeron is contributing to dizziness and nausea but I have been sick every day for a month. I do hope you get to feeling better soon and keep in touch. God Bless YOU
Hi Jacqueline, Sorry I really haven't been in the mood for chatting. Still not doing good. I hope that you are feeling better. Thank you for your prayers and blessings. But know one thing we are not giving up. Remember these pathetic lying pharmaceuticals companies are not in charge,God is.
I have recently hand problems with the generic Klonopin have gotten from three different pharmacies.
So far Qualitest is the best with Sandoz 2nd and Northstar the WORST!
Also Accrom so? Is fine. Just an update from someone on Klonopin for years. The date of this post is March 2017. I often find old posts and don't know if the manufacturer has corrected the problem
Luisa, Sorry that you're having problems with the clonazepam. The most recent one that I have been taking is Mylan and it's pretty decent. The best thing to do is ask the pharmacy to order the one that works best for you, if not call different pharmacies in advance so that you know just which one you will be picking up. To me Qualitest and Teva are horrible! Sandoz use to be the one I took for years until they just abruptly changed it and has destroyed my life. Everyone is different so you need to go with the one that works best for you. Just please don't trust Sandoz. I truly hope that you are able to find the right one. You can't trust what's in these medications. But never ever just stop taking it as I did because I couldn't find the right one either I ended up having a stroke after not taking it for six days. Your body will know just which one is best for you. I've experienced what you are going through. Best of luck. Blessings.
Glad to hear from you and so sorry about your medical problems. You are so right about drug manufacturers. I am running into a big problem because I chose to take Suboxzone to get off pain medication to see if I could make it on my own. Now I cannot get off the Suboxzone. The drug company fails to mention this and they have a monopoly with the doctors because they make you pay cash costing 350 first visit and 175 monthly knowing you will have to keep going back once you go on the medication. The doctor wants me to take 8mg film strip a day but I am cutting the one strip into 8 pieces trying to get off. The doctors prescribing this does not want you off. Just give me a chat when ever you feel like it and I will continue to pray for you also.
Just, leave it friend there will be no side affects drink plenty of water and juices which will help you in time of detoxification. Thank you
Please help. I have been 18 days without the 5mgs of Clonazepam my doctor has prescribed me for the last 8 years per day. I am completely falling apart with all the symptoms of detox described here. What should i do now? Please help!
Mo, Go to an emergency room. Asked them what you can do or if they know a doctor that can prescribe the clonazepam for you or a place that you can go for detox. God Bless you.
JD, regarding your confusion with someone taking Klonopin for pain, I use it for that as well. It helps the anxiety which often causes pain in itself. Muscles spasms, abdominal cramping, back pain(muscle related), nausea & more I can't think of immediately, this is especially true if you aren't getting a strong enough dose to help your anxiety. Hope that made sense. Some Dr.s are true believers, others say "it's only for anxiety", w/out considering all effects in anxiety itself!
Hi Jacqueline, Just wondering how you are doing. God willing better. I'm still devastated but am trying to get out more often. Vision is still not good. Take care.
Thanks for your answer. I hate to hear about people having pain and anxiety that are so unnecessary. Because if those people are abusing their medicines and selling them the FDA is responding by making it hard for those of us who were stable before and now wonder if the next month will be okay with surprise generics you can't replace because your doctor treats you like a criminal because they get a letter from the FDA about you even if you haven't changed anything! I REDUCED my Klonopin dose from 8mg to 4mg per day because I didn't know it was too high. So now if I get a lousy generic there is no room for error. I'm already dealing with continued withdrawal symptoms from the dose being cut in half over 2 months. Very fast I found out quickly. per day. I would like to know why you say Klonopin ruined your life. Or the new generic? Myrna. PS: I'm rambling today, Sorry
If you still have the right amount ask you doctor if you can bring them to him or her and have them write you a new script. My doc did this for me once when I was really sick from a bad generic. She is however VERY strict so I found that QUALITEST and ACCROM and SANDOZ work for me and I make sure the pharmacy has those at least a week before and again the day before I'm due to refill.
Try asking for help if you can get past the usual office staff that don't know anything.
My doc works alone so I'm lucky.
Google Translate (may not be 100% accurate):
Clonazepam is an anticonvulsant, designed to prevent seizures, although recent studies have shown a reasonable indication for people with 'insomnia', as well as being an excellent anxiolytic, although less effective as a muscle relaxant, and practically devoid of effect hypnotic; unlike most other 'benzodiazepines'. However, as for 'gradual withdrawal', due to its anti-epileptogenic action, as well as a few 'benzos', and barbiturates, such as phenobarbital, an 'anticonvulsant', also developed previously to 'prevent seizures', its withdrawal, should always be gradual, and preferably added, to 'other anti-convulsants', such as diazepam, for people who use them, more for the purpose, for the treatment of anxiety. An experienced psychiatrist will not find it difficult to make this withdrawal 'from clonazepam' in a safe way. At low dosages 'up to 6 mg / day', this is quite simple. In 'higher dosages', you may have to gradually adjust to carbamazepine, for example, and gradually reduce clonazepam, especially when there is a predisposition of the individual to convulsions. Complete withdrawal of benzenes, even at low dosages, requires much determination. Still, it is difficult, but not impossible. But it is not the kind of substance that can bring 'great harm', even in prolonged and continuous use. It goes much from the body of those who makes use of tai substances, and periodic medical evaluation. It is not easy, to stop altogether, however, not '' impossible '.
GOOD to hear from you. I am having a rough time with this Suboxone I have never seen anything like it. A pinpoint dose is almost impossible to get off of. I hope your eyes are better. When you feel better we will do our long chats again.
I was getting nerve pain and muscle pain relief from clonazepam as well. Initially started for irritability..but noticed that my pain would be alleviated as well.
Google Translate (may not be 100% accurate):
I find it more difficult to be dependent on clonazepam over all other benzodiazepines, precisely because it causes 'irritability' within the first few hours after ingestion. The only one I know that causes irritation in any conversation. It does not even need to be justified. When ingested at night in a dose of 4 mg for sleeping and retiring, it is a relaxing and anxiolytic, more potent than others, such as diazepam, among other more commonly used, and effective for treating insomnia . But you should not doubt the manufacturer, and people who have become dependent on it. Perhaps, this irritation, does not occur with all people. I take 2 of 2 mg / day, and I do not know if I should change. I have this irritation problem in the first few hours; unless I abstain from coffee. Then, after about 2 or 3 hours, it causes drowsiness. I could not say how to discontinue.
Hi Sara, you are right about clonazepam for pain, I suffer from a neurological disorder called cervical dystonia, I am in constant neck pain and this is the med neurologist prescribe but on top of that I also suffer from panic attacks, anxiety, depression and A-fibrillation, arrhythmia. I have taken mylan clonazepam and for the last two months I've been taking sandoz clonazepam and I am experiencing terrible insomnia. Going to doc next week, can't sleep at all. God bless
I need a Dr that prescribes the same medication that I have been on for a while. Pain meds and clonazepams. Can you please let me know of a Dr in the Lilburn GA area that accepts Medicaid. My number {edited for privacy}.
I feel the same way exactly about the clonazepam lately. Same symptoms. Last...maybe few months haven't had same relief from it!
