Clonazepam Help Me (Page 18)

Updated

I have always used the same brand of clonazepam. However they changed what is in the medication. I've been gravely ill because my body can't take the change. Now I want to not take it any longer because it's making me ill. How can I detox slowly if I don't have a decent batch of clo that agrees with me? If anyone has any real information please let me know. I'm ill feeling every day if I take it it makes me ill and get withdrawal If I don't take it I get still getting withdrawal.

JD, regarding your confusion with someone taking Klonopin for pain, I use it for that as well. It helps the anxiety which often causes pain in itself. Muscles spasms, abdominal cramping, back pain(muscle related), nausea & more I can't think of immediately, this is especially true if you aren't getting a strong enough dose to help your anxiety. Hope that made sense. Some Dr.s are true believers, others say "it's only for anxiety", w/out considering all effects in anxiety itself!

I am not confused. Some other person posted something about JD and Sarah not having real doctors if someone used Klonopin for pain and sugesting the reason a person couldn't sleep because of taking Adderall. I let them know people do take Klonopin for pain and even though a person took adderall at very low doses and the last dose was at 12 noon they should be able to expect sleep. The Adderall that a child takes doesn't cause them to be awake all night. It's instant release and last 4-5 hours. I was just correcting the smartalec response they gave to the forum.

Hi Jacqueline, Just wondering how you are doing. God willing better. I'm still devastated but am trying to get out more often. Vision is still not good. Take care.

Thanks for your answer. I hate to hear about people having pain and anxiety that are so unnecessary. Because if those people are abusing their medicines and selling them the FDA is responding by making it hard for those of us who were stable before and now wonder if the next month will be okay with surprise generics you can't replace because your doctor treats you like a criminal because they get a letter from the FDA about you even if you haven't changed anything! I REDUCED my Klonopin dose from 8mg to 4mg per day because I didn't know it was too high. So now if I get a lousy generic there is no room for error. I'm already dealing with continued withdrawal symptoms from the dose being cut in half over 2 months. Very fast I found out quickly. per day. I would like to know why you say Klonopin ruined your life. Or the new generic? Myrna. PS: I'm rambling today, Sorry

If you still have the right amount ask you doctor if you can bring them to him or her and have them write you a new script. My doc did this for me once when I was really sick from a bad generic. She is however VERY strict so I found that QUALITEST and ACCROM and SANDOZ work for me and I make sure the pharmacy has those at least a week before and again the day before I'm due to refill.
Try asking for help if you can get past the usual office staff that don't know anything.
My doc works alone so I'm lucky.

Google Translate (may not be 100% accurate):

Clonazepam is an anticonvulsant, designed to prevent seizures, although recent studies have shown a reasonable indication for people with 'insomnia', as well as being an excellent anxiolytic, although less effective as a muscle relaxant, and practically devoid of effect hypnotic; unlike most other 'benzodiazepines'. However, as for 'gradual withdrawal', due to its anti-epileptogenic action, as well as a few 'benzos', and barbiturates, such as phenobarbital, an 'anticonvulsant', also developed previously to 'prevent seizures', its withdrawal, should always be gradual, and preferably added, to 'other anti-convulsants', such as diazepam, for people who use them, more for the purpose, for the treatment of anxiety. An experienced psychiatrist will not find it difficult to make this withdrawal 'from clonazepam' in a safe way. At low dosages 'up to 6 mg / day', this is quite simple. In 'higher dosages', you may have to gradually adjust to carbamazepine, for example, and gradually reduce clonazepam, especially when there is a predisposition of the individual to convulsions. Complete withdrawal of benzenes, even at low dosages, requires much determination. Still, it is difficult, but not impossible. But it is not the kind of substance that can bring 'great harm', even in prolonged and continuous use. It goes much from the body of those who makes use of tai substances, and periodic medical evaluation. It is not easy, to stop altogether, however, not '' impossible '.

GOOD to hear from you. I am having a rough time with this Suboxone I have never seen anything like it. A pinpoint dose is almost impossible to get off of. I hope your eyes are better. When you feel better we will do our long chats again.

I was getting nerve pain and muscle pain relief from clonazepam as well. Initially started for irritability..but noticed that my pain would be alleviated as well.

Google Translate (may not be 100% accurate):

I find it more difficult to be dependent on clonazepam over all other benzodiazepines, precisely because it causes 'irritability' within the first few hours after ingestion. The only one I know that causes irritation in any conversation. It does not even need to be justified. When ingested at night in a dose of 4 mg for sleeping and retiring, it is a relaxing and anxiolytic, more potent than others, such as diazepam, among other more commonly used, and effective for treating insomnia . But you should not doubt the manufacturer, and people who have become dependent on it. Perhaps, this irritation, does not occur with all people. I take 2 of 2 mg / day, and I do not know if I should change. I have this irritation problem in the first few hours; unless I abstain from coffee. Then, after about 2 or 3 hours, it causes drowsiness. I could not say how to discontinue.

Sarah, I hope you are doing OK. I haven't seen you posting and was worried. I see people are still experiencing problems with the generic meds. I have been taking a very low dose of Sanding but I get the burning tongue if it touches it. I am still stuck with the Suboxzone 1 mg and can't reduce at all without getting sick. I would like to see the manufacturer sued over this medicine. I am also getting sick taken the suboxzone itself. I think that is the naltrexone in it. Sarah when ever you feel well enough let me know about your eyesight. Keep PRAYING Be safe

It saddens me but does not surprise me that people are having bad experiences with generic or even brand-name drugs. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that different companies' formulations are significantly different in effectiveness and side effects, but few scientific studies (see Wikipedia Bupropion for one of the few). The bureaucratic machinery is very hard to get moving, and there are serious vested interests involved. Please, use your pharmacist as a resource as well as your doctor - the pharmacists often have more detailed knowledge these days, and if the pharmacist is not helpful, try another one.

On the subject of clonazepam withdrawal, I have been through this twice after years on the drug, and it is difficult but not impossible. The two most important points are to switch to a different benzo - Valium/diazepam is usually recommended, and GO SLOWLY. Reduce the dose by 10% every 1 to 4 weeks, depending on how long you've been on it and your individual reaction. The most generally accepted authority on benzo withdrawal is Dr. Heather Ashton, at benzo.org.uk/manual.

Hey Jacqueline, Hope that you're doing better. Any progress with the medications. I myself have not fully recovered...These pharmaceutical liars money hungry fools are ruining so many lives... I'm still praying for you to find the right medications. My mom has since passed after twelve years suffering from Alzheimer's. Blessings.

Hi Sarah, it's been quite a while since I have written to you. This is Jacqueline and I am still experiencing some very bad days. This time I have had horrible problems with getting off Suboxzone. I went to the sub physician to just help me get through the pain med withdrawal. The dr.even suggested that I continue a maintenance dose never telling me that this medication is almost impossible to get off of so therefore that has been my horrific problem since 1/2017. I am at a dose so tiny I have to pick it up with tweezers yet the horrible nausea continues even after I have stopped completely
How have you been and did your eyesight get corrected. Sorry it has been so long but 2017 hasn't been kind to me health wide. let me know if your still on site.

God Bless you Jacqueline. So happy to hear from you, so sorry that you're still not well. I was going to give up hearing from you, but you have been in my prayers. Unfortunately I haven't been well my eyesight has still not completely returned. I've been feeling dizzy and unbalanced. I'm still on Mylan clonazepam and Plavix. This Sat. the 22 nd makes exactly one year since I posted my problem with Sandoz clonazepam and it's been a nightmare since then. Keep in touch.
