Iv been taking it its dated 2013 because icant aford the 60$ perscription for it n i need to have teeth pulled but i need to take the antibiotic first so am i poisoned. According to mhra.gov.uk, Clindamycin has a shelf life of 15 months. There's also an article in the LA Times Newspaper (which you can find online) stating that researchers from the California Poison Control System, UC San Francisco and UC Irvine did a study investigating a variety of old drugs and concluded that many of them are still ok to take even up to 28-40 years after the listed expiration date! My daughter has just been prescribed 8ml of clindamycin palmitate 3 times a day for 7 days. She has been fighting ear infections, sinus infections and upper respiratory infections for the past 4 months. She has been on amoxicillin, Augmentin, septra and cefdinir and neither of these have worked. I took her to an ENT last week and recommended we remove her tonsils and adenoids and have ear tubes put in.
