The Dr prescribed Cilift 20 mg for me due to post traumatic stress. I am so afraid to use it because of the side effects. What can I use for post traumatic stress, instead of Cilift? ## Cilift contains the active ingredient Citalopram, this is a brand available in South Africa and, in light of that fact, I am not sure what else is available there for you to try. Side effects are always possible with any medication, even over the counter products, however, there is no way to know if you will experience any of them, until you actually try a medication. Not everyone has problems with side effects, some people don't experience any. Citalopram is an SSRI antidepressant that also helps treat anxiety and its most common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight cha...

Can you use Cilift if you have bipolar? Will there be any side effects? ## All medications carry the risk of side effects, even over the counter products. Did your doctor advise you to use it? Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, weight gain and dry mouth. Learn more:

I have been on cilift for a month now and have the most unusual, weirdest dreams for the past 3 weeks. Is this caused to the meds? or maybe everything that is suppressed that are now coming out in dreams? ## Cilift contains the active ingredient Citalopram, which is a SSRI antidepressant that can also be used to treat other conditions. However, since it does affect the brain chemical Seratonin, yes, it can cause the vivid dreams you are experiencing. Orange pill says kali on it ## I believe you got the markings completely wrong on this pill. The imprint 280 Kali is the only one that fits your description. My guess is, the marking on your pill must've been smudged off to a degree that is not very legible. Anyhow, Citalopram hydrobromide (10 mg) is the pill I located it to be. Dont know what they are, I found them in my silvertware drawer where my 6 year old daughter goes into. 2 very small orange pills with 05 on one side and the letter A on the other side. ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Citalopram, the active ingredient in Celexa, it is an SSRI antidepressant. Side effects might include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and weight gain. Kind of an odd find and not something you want your 6 year-old to get into. Is there anything else I can help with?

I Have Recently Been Put On Cilift And Was Wondering If A Side Effect Is Very Itchy Hands. I have been on them For a Week and started with the itchiness 2 days ago. I take one capsule a day. I started citalopram a year ago and it takes time but it does work. I take 40 mg a day, and life has gotten better. OK, I do admit, you will be a little forgetful and slow, but that is what it does. If you are high anxiety, like me, it will slow you down. It calms you down and if you embrace it just right you CAN make the drug work in your own way and fitting in your own lifestyle. But remember, IT DOES TAKE TIME. You'll see. ## Medications in this class generally take a month or more to reach their full effectiveness, for most people. AS to being forgetful and slow, this DOES NOT happen to everyone, medications can affect everyone in different ways. So, while some may experience this as a side effect, not everyone does. Thank you, however, for providing your experience and informat...
