How does 20mg of lexipro compare with 40 mg of citalopram? Is drowsiness a side effect of citalopram? ## The Escitalopram in the Lexapro is more potent than the Citalopram, so it is normal that a higher dose of the Citalopram be needed, if someone is switching from one to the other. And drowsiness can be a normal side effect of both of them, as well as nausea, dry mouth and weight changes. Are there any other questions or comments?

Real Small Light Brown Pill With the #- 10 ## I'm finding it a bit difficult to locate an exact match to your description because there are a number of pills that are light brown/tan/orange colored with a "10" on them. One pill that may be a match is Citalopram hydrobromide 10 mg; manufactured by Torrent Pharmaceuticals. It fits your color description the most, but I'm unable to confirm this match since there are more than a handful of possibilities. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's more to it than what you stated. Did you obtain this pill off the street by chance?

i been taking citalopram 20mg almost a whole month now and this past week i been having diarrhea for five days straight. Is this one of the side affects? ## Citalopram is an SSRI antidepressant and yes, it can cause diarrhea, as a side effect. Usually side effects should hit their peak at around 4 to 6 weeks of use, once the medication hits its full level of effectiveness in the body, then they should taper off. If it doesn't, or if it becomes more severe, you should contact your doctor, as you may require a lower dosage or switch to a different medication.
