7 REPLIES UpdatedA while a ago my daughter was being bullied at school, which drove her to take an overdose, thank fully she was ok and is doing fine now. But my wife took it really hard and started to suffer with anxiety so the doctor gave her citalopram. Instantly I noticed a change in her attitude, she just turned so hard faced and cold toward me, then what was a healthy sexual relationship turned to a relationship with no sex at all, I've tried to tell her that this drug has changed her but she is not interested, this drug had changed her from being a normal loving mother/wife to a woman who needs no love or affection. And now after 15yrs of being together she wants a divorce, to sell the house and go our separate ways, I am absolutely devastated I can't imagine my life without this woman I ...
76 REPLIES UpdatedHi :) I took 20 mg. of citalopram from 2006 until this past fall of 2014, for lingering postpartum/anxiety/insomnia. The drug worked wonders for me and I was afraid to come off of it until last year. Insomnia is something I'm terrified of, due to my experience with it. We had a difficult winter, I am a single mom, who does not love her work (I work part time cleaning houses in order to keep a flexible schedule for my daughter) but it has it's pros and I don't know what else interests me for work at the moment. Then I had a month of very stressful circumstances, one after another, which resulted in some anxiety/adrenalin/chest pain (ekg ruled out any problems). My doctor suggested I go back on citalopram and asked if I had a problem with it. I'd been feeling down as well ...

I gained over 60 pounds while on 20mg of citalopram for 1 year and 4 months. The weight gain is a nightmare. EQ ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? There may be other medications you can try.
2 REPLIES UpdatedThis pill has the same logo marking as my Metformin on one side but this one is oval, white and has a C | 40 imprinted on the other side. ## This was most likely Citalopram 40 mg manufactured in Canada by Cobalt pharmaceuticals (which was acquired years ago). 9 REPLIES UpdatedCan anyone confirm what this is? I found a small white oval pill with C 12 on one side. ## A related thread titled white pill with c12 states that this is Citalopram 20 mg but I have not been able to confirm yet. Are you writing in from Canada?
1 REPLY UpdatedMail order changed my citalopram manufacturer from Amneal to Aurobindo. Have noticed side effect after the change. Should this be happening? Anyone els have this issue with manufacturer change? ## JC - I haven't been taking this med, but i wanted to share with you that it IS in fact possible to experience different effects between generic manufacturers. Even though ratios of active ingredients are supposed to be the same, the inert (inactive) ingredients are allowed to differ by a certain margin. Not to mention different manufacturing standards / facilities / etc. Sometimes if you mention this to your doctor or pharmacist, they can try to obtain the product from the other manufacturer, but this does not always work - it's all about supply chain and sometimes a specific manufactu...
124 REPLIES UpdatedPink oval antidepressant ## I recently received a refill from my mail order pharmacy for Citalopram HBR tablets, 20 mg. The first prescription I had were pink oval tablets, but this next one was round white tablets, the size of a 325mg bayer aspirin. Embossed on the tablet, from what I can make out is, WP1 3177. Is the same type of drug or could it be the wrong prescription?? ## This is the same medication and same dosage, just made by a different company that your last fill. Many pharmacies end up switching which one they carry according to what company had the cheapest available when they needed to restock. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and sweating. ## I was taken off lexapro and put on citalopram hbr 20mg. After being on the generic anti...
10 REPLIES UpdatedI was on Citalopram from August 2017 to June 2018. I decided to taper off of them because I didn’t like how I felt on them. I have had a pill for just over 5 weeks now. While on the medicine, I was definitely less panicked. However, I had a pretty constant feeling of being out of it, like being drugged or spaced out. I had this before I started the medicine so I was hoping it would help. The other really bad symptom I had was this weird dizziness and vertigo. I was dizzy before I started, but a few weeks in I remember I had rapid feeling in my head before bed like my head was moving. This turned into an awful vertigo sensation that hits hard when I lay down. It feels like I’m spinning or my body parts are moving or being pulled, and makes it hard to sleep sometimes. Anyway, ...
2 REPLIES UpdatedMy grandmother is prescribed 10mg Oxycodone, 4 times daily. Every month she goes into pain management and she gets a False-Negative for Oxycodone. This woman has been through hell and is trying to just get to the next day. She takes a list of medicines: Bupropion, Lisinopril, Atorvastatin, Citalopram, Carvedilol, Omeprazole, and 81mg Aspirin; she must take anywhere from 2-4 pills per medication daily. She sweats a lot, drinks plenty of water daily, doesn't eat much, and is trying her best to perform daily tasks due to her 5th shoulder surgery and heart valve replacement surgery. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want her to keep stressing over this without answers. ## My grandmother went to the pain clinic the day after I posted this question, she took with her a jump drive...

If they don't or get more intense, you will need to speak to your doctor. You can read more on this medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## IAM A REALLY OUT GOI...
17 REPLIES UpdatedI've been taking Citalopram for a week now, so far so good except for feeling a little tired but hoping it will go away. I want to continue with my weight loss program taking a half of 37ml of phentermine so I can get the energy I need in the morning at the gym, don't want to feel too anxious. Has anyone experienced any interactions or any weird side effects with this combination? Thank you so much. ## Hi Andrea, Based on my research, there is an interaction listed between these two medications; which states the following: "GENERALLY AVOID: Several case reports suggest that serotonin reuptake inhibitors may potentiate the pharmacologic response to sympathomimetic agents. The exact mechanism of interaction is unclear. In one case report, a patient experienced jitteriness, rac...
