my father is 85+ he is apart from normal motion at least once in two week getting watery loos motion making more uncomfortable for him. some times its not getting controlled with normal usual treatment ( loparamide / ciprofloxacin / metronidazole ) is it weekness of the intestain ? please

I am female and have suffered for 6 years with inflammation & painful passing of urine since an operation for prolapse of rectum. Repeated bacterial infection has been treated with antibiotics. I have now been prescribed 3 months treatment of Zoxan 4 mg (1 tab daily) but after 10 days am having considerable side effects and no decrease in difficulty & pain in passing urine - if anything inflammation is increasing. have a sinus infection ## can I eat dairy prodicts with this med ## Sinus infections are actually rarely caused by bacterial infections and therefore taking antibiotics for most sinus infections is 'not indicated' since antibiotics are only indicated for bacterial infections. In addition, Cipro has a rare but serious possibility of causing a severe condition known as Cipro Tendonitis. Again, while it's rare, it can lead to lifelong disability! Since sinus infections are rarely caused by bacteria, that would be awful to have become disabled after taking a drug that you didn't even need in the first place, wouldn't it? You may want to speak to your doctor about the need for this drug.

I have had a chest infection now for 6 weeks. Been prescribed above but not seeing any results yet. I am an Asthma sufferer and have been on a maintenance dose of prednisolone for 46 years. I am currently being prescribed 30mg daily for 2 weeks. I just cannot get rid of the breathlessness andf feel quite ill. Any ideas on this antibiotic or any other that you may have taken for the same symptons that did work. thanks Moggs
