Geriatic Patient Loos Motion

my father is 85+ he is apart from normal motion at least once in two week getting watery loos motion making more
uncomfortable for him. some times its not getting controlled with normal usual treatment ( loparamide / ciprofloxacin / metronidazole )
is it weekness of the intestain ? please
