1 REPLY UpdatedCan someone please tell me what G551 is? My mom has the pills in a non-descriptive bottle and she was taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night. The Internet does not have any info on it. ## Hi Amy, Do you happen to know what the color and shape of this G551 pill is? And where your mom got the bottle of pills from? I noticed other related discussion threads here depicting a white oblong / rectangular pill with this imprint of G551 as well, but haven't come across a match either as of yet. Also, is there any chance that the letter "G" could possibly be something else altogether, or is it pretty apparent and legible? I'm only curious because I did locate a white capsule/oblong-shaped pill with an imprint of PA 551; containing 400mgs of Cimetidine (which is reported to be an a...

Round White pill with Y. CIMETDN 200 on it ## Hi Mickey, Of the four pills you mentioned I've only been able to find clues on the last one marked with "Y. CIMETDN 200". This drug is indicated for use in treating symptoms of GERD (such as heardburn, acid reflux, gastric ulcers, as well as some stomach disorders). Unfortunately the other tablets still remain a mystery to me. However, if you're able to, I would encourage you to try and get the pills analyzed by a lab so you can be 100% certain of what you have. 2 REPLIES Updated400 mg ## I have been prescribed metadine for a tummy bug?... I would like to know more about it and its side effects ## Hello, I'm having a hard time finding any information about a medicine by the name of "Metadine". Are you referring to Cimetidine perhaps? Based on my research, Cimetidine is widely used in the treatment of heartburn and peptic ulcers and belongs to a class of medications called histamine H2-antagonists. Histamine is a natural chemical that stimulates stomach cells to produce acid. Histamine H2-antagonists inhibit the action of histamine on the acid-producing cells of the stomach and reduce stomach acid. Cimetidine was approved by the FDA in 1977. 1 REPLY UpdatedWhat is a white round pill with APO 018 on it? ## We have received a number of inquiries about this imprint code, but nobody was able to find a match based on both imprint code and reported color. The only lead regarding this was found from the manufacturer Apotex. On their site is listed a round Green pill with the imprint APO 018. The pill that came up is Cimetidine 200 mg, generic for Tagamet (treats acid reflux and other similar conditions). The details were finally found at the following URL: It is highly unlikely that there could be multiple medications with the same imprint code, so if anybody can take a picture and send it our way of a WHITE pill with this imprint, that would be very interesting. ## I'd be happy to send you one.
