My mom is 62 year old, she takes diabities and blood pressure tablets every day. today morning she went for walk empty stomach without taking blood pressure medicine. when she came back, she complained about chest pain. we rushed to hospital and doctors did ecg, blood pressure was 90/160, and she was given ketrol and anxol injections. They also prescribed ecosprin 150. i am concerned what caused chest pain and what should be my action.. please advise ## Well, the chest pain and the elevated blood pressure could have been caused by her not taking her blood pressure medication. Can Nikoran (Nicorandil) be taken on an empty stomach? Please inform. ## It's listed that it can be taken with, or without food. Isosorbide mn er 30ml was added about 8 days ago to my mother's meds. She is 85. Two and a half days ago she started complaining of pain from her belly down into her upper thigh going down toward her knees in both legs. I get occassional chet pain when I walk when I donot take Angispan TR. Should I take when I get pain or I can take twice a day 2.5mg as precautionary My Left Main is 80 % closed and I am plannig Angioplasty in two weeks time. ## How has your doctor directed you to use it? I jus refilled my Diltiazem 120 CR and they gave me Diltiazem 120 ER. I didn't take it last night because I don't know what the difference is. ## Please don't skip dosages of these types of medications, for any reason, you could put yourself in serious, life threatening danger! Skipping doses of such hypertension/cardiac medications may cause a rebound effect, which could result in severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which may lead to stroke or heart attack! this pill just has R 713 marked on one side its oblong and white and has a split in the middle like a deep scoring. its not RX 713 just R 713 and the R looks almost like a P ## Hello, Thanks for providing the detailed description. I was able to locate the pill with these markings to be an extended release Isosorbide Mononitrate (30mg), oral tablet. The "R" that curves around like a "P" at the top is actually identified as a logo and not a letter; although I'm not exactly sure which company logo this figure represents. How long does it take for the side effect of reddening of the body due to widdening of small blood vessels to go away when the drug is discontinued ## It really depends on how long you were taking it, it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. Some gentle massage and increasing your activity levels might help, if you're doctor approves of you doing such. How long were you on it? ## My husband was on diltia XT for eight months and now he has been off of the med. for almost two months and is still getting the peripheral vasodilitation. My sister is taking Nitroglycerin 2.5MG Caps. Simvastatin Tab 40 MG and Isinopril Tab 5MG. Can she drink the teas mention below, without any contraindications with these medications? Slippery Elm, Howthorn Berries, and Phenugreek Tea. ## Has she tried asking her doctor, or pharmacist? Unfortunately, this information may be hard to find, because herbal substances aren't usually checked for interactions, as is done with actual prescription medications. Thus, I can really only suggest she talk to her doctor, first.
