is this cerizine ia a sleeping tablet?. FOR WHAT PURPUS IT WILL USE? MINIMUM HOW MG TAKE A NORMAL ASTHMA PATIENT ## No, this is not a sleeping pill. Cetirizine, the active ingredient in Zyrtec, is an antihistamine that is used to treat or prevent allergy symptoms, however, it can cause drowsiness in some people, as a side effect. As to how much of a dosage you should take, you should really consult your doctor, especially if you are on any other medications and have other health conditions. The standard dose is usually 10mgs, once a day. Has your doctor advised you to use this? ## I've taken 20 cetzine tablets each of 10 mg few months back. But due to stress i didnt slept that night and nothing happened so far. Why nothing happened? Will there be any side effects in future? ## Its gud

please identify this pill, it is not white like cetirizine (zyrtec) it is light yellow. Definite color difference side by side. So we don't think it is cetrizine like what comes up if you put then number in. Round - light yellow- IP 46 on one side /blank on the other ## It should be a white tablet if it has that marking. Are you certain that the numbers are 46? Intrapharm does make many different medications. Where was it found/obtained? I'm wondering if it may be from a foreign source, damaged or something.

Singular 10 mgr and zirtec 10 mgr is the same efect if take them at night time? ## Hello, Maribel! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. As to taking them at night, you can ask your doctor about trying it, but the issue there is that they may not control your symptoms as long during the day, when you would normally be exposed to the most allergens. Is there anything else I can help with?

Could taking 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride clear up a UTI or would I need a stronger antibiotic initially? ## Hello, Larissa! How are you? Sorry about the UTI. However, Cetirizine is not an antibiotic. It's an antihistamine that's used to treat allergies. Learn more Cetirizine details here. Thus, it won't do anything to treat a UTI. I have been experiencing itching problems since 3 days. It started from over the stomach area then spread out on legs, hands and back. Initially, I thought due rainy season, it is the mosquito bites. But later on, when it did not subside and started growing red and small dots appeared all over, then I realized that it something else. Now, I asked for Avil tablet to the chemist, instead he gave me Okacet. Please tell me if it is okay and cure my ailment. How many times should I take this tablet and for how long ? Please advise. I have high blood pressure. Will this medicine make it higher? ## Hi, Sharon! How are you? And yes, it may elevate your blood pressure and heart rate, most antihistamines can do so. Whether or not you can take one will usually depend on how much it can raise it and what your blood pressure readings have been. For instance, I was given permission to take Benadryl and since it works so well for allergies, I've pretty much stuck with it ever since. Learn more Benadryl details here. You may want to ask your doctor about taking it, since it doesn't usually cause as much of an elevation as most others. Do you take any other medications?
