I have been takining this drug Jakavi for 18 months for the treatment of Myleofibrosis. My spleen has reduced in size, my blood levels are much closer to normal range except for the Haemoglobin which is low. My concern is that since the commencement of the course of the drug my PSA level has increased drastically. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Further: my most recent PSA reading is 27.5 and have had a Biopsy of Prostate which is negative of cancer. Could drug Jakavi or Ruxolitnib or the Myelofibrosis be influencing the PSA reading? ## Am on Jakafi 20mg twice a day for last 2 years and recent psa increased from 5 to 16 over that time. Am going to dr tomorrow to check about biopsy so will try to match my info with yours, but from my readings it is a possible side effect.

Friend said got from his mom I told him not to trust and hope he does not take, He Thinks is a 60 OC But blank on both sides. Also his mom has type of cancer, maybe meds for that? ## I could see why your friend might've initially thought it was a 60mg OxyContin, but my opinion is that since there's no markings to verify anything, this could easily be anyone's best guess. The only honest way to identify it would be through a lab analysis or perhaps a even drug panel from the pharmacy. This process should at least help depict the drug class of whatever substance is being evaluated. Additionally, US prescription drugs are required by the FDA to bear an imprint... So this leads me to believe that it's probably some sort of over the counter, foreign, or counterfeit/illicit pr...

I just failed Ippy. Now my oncologist wants to start Keytruda 1/16/15. Those of you who have been on Keytruda for awhile - Does it carry the same restrictions as Ippy (no caffeine, chocolate, etc)? I don't see it in any of the literature. ## Hello, Texas Turtle! How are you? I'm sorry that the Ippy didn't work for you. I'm not seeing anything listed regarding such restrictions with the Keytruda, but your oncologist might want you to stay away from them for other reasons, sometimes it's just due to how harsh they can be on the stomach, which could compound the problems the medication may cause. Typical side effects of Keytruda, as listed by the FDA may include nausea, itching, feeling tired, decreased appetite and joint pain. ## I have been on Keytruda for a year with...

Please give me this free book. My brother has cancer, I need a cure urgently please, thank you ## Dear Franco - sorry to hear about your brother. I am not seeing this book as being completely free, it appears that you have to subscribe to HSI's newsletter / service for $74 / year (or $37 if you indicate you are entitled to a senior discount), and then you will get the book for free. You can see what I am talking about on their web site. It also seems to be available for around $25.00 (Used paperback condition) on Amazon.com, and you would not need to subscribe to anything there. Hope this helps! There is a related discussion thread which may be of interest to you called H 86 Cancer Cure (although of course the title should not imply an actual cure, but that is just the title of inte...

This country is really messed up! So are most of the people begging to get pain meds by any ways or means, My son has bone cancer and must still go thru all the same regs as noted above. Don't write your legislator or they will think you're a bunch of druggies and one of them will come up with ANOTHER law to make it MORE difficult to get..

I am going into my fourth month and the side effects of jo my fourth month and the side effects joint and bone pain are now a daily occurrence. I take 3 capsules daily and I am curious if a reduction to 2 a day would alleviate this side effect. Also other side effects are light headiness, skin breakouts, slight bruising and fatigue. I am an 83 yr old male who for most of my life has not or does not take any drugs except Imbruvica for SLL. ## Such side effects are normal with this class of medications, according to the FDA and you should continue taking the amount your doctor has instructed you to take. You may also experience diarrhea, and anemia. Are you on any other medications or treatments? I hope you experience the best outcome possible!

I received an e-mail from Palm Beach Research wherein Jenny Thompson of Health Sciences Institute praised and promoted DBX-13 (Avemar) as a scientifically proven cure for diabetes, cancer and other diseases. It is all natural and does not harm good or bad cells. Conventional cancer treatment can kill both good and bad cells. Is there any reliable report available on research & development? ## Hi Loren, I don't mean to bring any disappointing news, but DBX-13 turned out to be a scam for a number of individuals who've reported their experience here in related discussion threads that I've participating in. I knew the company declared bankruptcy in 2006, but would like to know if there are some researcher still working with this product. How can I contact someone that can tell me about its current status? Thanks in advance! ## Hi Gisela, have you received any response? Found pills in my son's Rx bottles that don't look like they should. Small and round, but twice as tall as most pills of this size. Edge between top and side is a sharp 90 degree, not softly curved. Printed on one side Kp. ## I haven't located a photo of the pill in question, but have come across a pretty thorough description to compare with yours. Based on my research this could possibly be one of two pills with the same exact marking, similar physical appearance, and indications. Apparently KP stands for Kalpa Pharmaceuticals, a steroid manufacturer. And if you found these pills in your son's room then unfortunately this is what I would have assumed they are. Further research leads me to believe that these are either Aromasin or Nolvadex, both which are often used toge...

Can I take evion 200mg for regulating my menstrual cycle ? ## nope!! you can take them just for 15 days but not more than that!! Because more dose may lead to endometrial thickening and this may cause bleeding in between menstrual periods!! Long term usage may lead to endometrial hyperplasia which ultimately lead to cancer of uterus!! so if you wanna take; have them for 15 days just regularly if you don't have anyother medical problem!! ?? Editor's note: this message has been deemed inaccurate. ## These are just vitamin E supplements, so they will not help regulate your periods, or do anything else, nor will they cause endometrial thickening, cancer, or etc. The worse they cause is some nausea, according to the NIH, due to their potency. Has your doctor instructed you to take th...

Is it true that taking these pills can cause cancer? ## Hello, Mommy jhi! How are you? I'm not sure what you mean….. cancer or other possible health complications associated with medications, such as this, are possible risks, not something that is definitely going to happen to you. And there is less risk associated with the micro pills. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Hi and good morning. I just wanna know if micropill plus and micropill plain have the same content?

does estrogen methyltestos f.s tabs cause weight gain ## Hi nicki, Based on my research and from listening to other's personal experiences, I'm led to believe that any type of hormonal supplement can easily have a significant impact on your weight in general. With this particular medication, weight changes are a common side effect. Reason being is that your hormones are largely responsible for proper thyroid function; which in and of itself controls your metabolism and other like-factors that help your body to maintain and control it's weight. You can view a list of side effects here: medicinenet.com/methyltestosterone_with_estrogen-oral/page2.htm#SideEffects I hope this helps! ## I am thinking about not taking the Med just because of the side effects of gaining weight. Where can I find H-86? I have tumors all over, Once they were pre-cancerous in my colon. I want to know where I can find this if the polyps keep returning or return cancerous. ## Get on cannabis oil its proven to work ## Hi Jan, Sorry to hear about your situation. In regards to H-86, that's actually just another term for "fermented wheat germ extract" **also commonly referred to as Avemar** that a phony company by the name of HSI (Health Science Institute) coined in their marketing campaign. Because HSI is widely thought to be a scam (see other related threads here for more details) I wouldn't recommend going through them at all. From what I could gather, Avemar and other similar brands can be found elsewhere without the headache of HSI getting involved. On one last note...

Has anyone experienced an increase in their creatine level since taking Methotrexate or had any kidney damage as a result of taking this drug? ## Apparently, elevated levels have been known to occur with this medication, usually in the initial treatment phase and there are warnings that let doctor's know they should be monitoring patients for such an event. It can cause kidney damage, in some cases. What has your doctor said about it? ## I've been on methotrexate for 4+ years and 40 mg humira. I gained a lot of weight and am still in a lot of pain.
