Can Pantoprazole Cause Swelling (Top voted first)
UpdatedMy feet and legs/stomach are very swollen. The only thing new is the pantoprazole. Could it cause the swelling or do I have something else wrong?

Yes, Pantoprazole can cause swelling, as it is one of many possible side effects of taking this medication.
Directions for this drug note to seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Pantoprazole:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); bone pain; chest pain; dark urine; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; red, SWOLLEN, blistered, or peeling SKIN; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual tiredness; vision changes; yellowing of the skin or eyes.
Being that this is a severe side effect, I would highly suggest that you adhere to the above notice and go to your doctor as soon as you are able to, and hopefully find a replacement medication or seek out a natural alternative to remedy your condition. If you have any Lavender Essential Oil or possibly Aloe Vera it may help subside swelling or calm the inflamed skin in the meantime.
I have been taking pantoprazole 40mg just a week now for acid reflux. I feel side affect of swollen feet and ankle and puffiness around my eyes and face, cant sleep and always in the bathroom. I told dr office they said stop taking it and switched me to esomeprazole 40mg.Im afraid to take it. How long for side affects to subside?
My hands have almost doubled in size right after taking Pantoprazole. I have a weak auto-immune system as it is. Fresh Aloe helps a little, however, the swelling, cuts, dryness, and bleeding will not go away. I took the pill for one week. I need help PLEASE.
I am on pantaloc 40 mg for about 3 weeks for acid reflux. Still a problem though but for past 2 days i've noticed oedema of lower extremities. Should i stop the pantaloc or continue untill i can see the dr..
