When you are diabetic, it is very important that you discuss such issues, with your doctor, before stopping any medication. Out of control blood sugar levels can cause serious medical complications.
At this point, while your readings have improved, it could be because the medication is doing its job and if you stop taking it, they may steadily start to rise, again.
