Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 19) (Top voted first)

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

It is despicable how we good patients are suffering. Definately an abrupt change in the percocet formulation. After doing so much research of updated ingredients etc all info shows no changes or alterations, no additions/deletions of ingredients they state but I know they’re different. Never after years did I feel sedated until going on a year ago! This is criminal. I dread taking my dose but because my body is “physically dependent” I am forced to. The withdrawel is worse than not taking them. My attitude is now depressed, no energy or motivation. We must get to the truth. I feel I am being poisoned.

That Camber percocet is poision. My throat burned, my stomach kept me awake at night. I have had an endoscopy and biopsy back in may for an esophageal lesion that turned up on an MRI in April. It turned out to be cancer. I cant say there is any connection between that and the pills nor claiming that but Im suspicious. There was another lady (forgot her name) that had esophageal problems. However, I was Cancer free after lung surgery for 19 months. I was forced to use those pills the beginning of year and felt awful the whole time i was on them. Ive posted all my symptoms here before. I dont think any formula of the Oxy is the same or as effective.

If it helps; I went with an independent pharmacy and Im using Epic Oxycodone 5mg (manufac. in the US) and I add a little tylenol with it. I even cut 500mg in small pieces. If you can get to an independent pharmacy, it might be an option. The pills small and their whit. No Blue or yellow pills. I may be wrong but I feel like there are less binders and fillers. They do not upset my stomach or give me anxiety. I can even remember all the problems i had with that. I know my stomach rumbling kept me up at night. Chest pain. The straight Oxy is working for me. There tiny and scored; I mange to cut them; because i take a half at a time. Best Wishes to all of you

I was given the 5mg Camber pills back at the beginning of the year at Walgreens. They were blue. I would get horrible reflux which often led to getting sick. You would think I had been eating smurfs. The dyes and fillers they use are poiskn. It was a horrible process to surrender the remainder of a month’s worth of pills to get a new prescription from a different pharmacy that was dye free. My dr listed that I am allergic to dyes. But her office accidentally called in one of my refills to Walgreens even though it called for dye free. And my record stated that I was allergic to dyes they still filled it with the blue Camber pills. I refused to accept them and asked for them to transfer the prescription to the pharmacy i had switched to. They told me they couldn’t transfer the script. So I requested they order a dye free alternative. They refused. The next day after calling my dr’s office the pharmacy called me and told me they did have another brand on hand that was dye free and I could come pick up my pills. So if they had them on hand the whole time why lie? Especially when the script calls for ko dyes and you have it listed as an allergy. The whole thing is scam. I’ve never been back to Walgreens since.

Wow!! Marv...huge step in right direction! It cant be a mere coincidence that 100’s of us Chronic Pain patients are suddenly getting very sick from ALL the generic variations of oxycodone especially percocet oxycodone/acetameniphin. Bella, sweet Bella, in your case Cancer?!?!? Ive been having GI & esophogial problems as well, phatigue is horrible too! The formula has definately changed. They are making us sick & will not tell us the truth. Pls keep me in the loop. God bless us all.

I also verify the manufacturer before accepting my meds. I do for all my meds now. I switched pharmacies when they told me they couldn’t order anything else. I was mostly upset that they filled the prescription, which contains blue dye, even though my dr specifies dye free. And they have blue dye listed as an allergy in my file there. I believe that if they didn’t have any alternatives they should have contacted my dr and refused to fill it. How can they fill a prescription with something that contains something the patient is allergic to? I didn’t accept the pills that day. I just called my dr the next morning to have her call it in to my new pharmacy (which is where it should have been called into from the start) since prescriptions for controlled substances can’t be transferred. But then Walgreens contacted me to let me know they had another generic on hand that was dye free. So I did let them fill it. But I haven’t gone back since. I’ve also dealt directly with the drug company because their website claimed it was dye free under the allergen info. But then goes on to list the various dyes (different colors depending on dosage) in the ingredients. I took and still have a screenshot of it. When they contacted me back they told me I was wrong that the information was correct on and sent a link. They had changed it. And dye wasn’t the only allergen they changed. After I replied back with the screenshot I had taken they had a rep call and email me a number of times looking for all sorts of information. I will no longer trust anything made by Camber. When my daughter’s generic Singulair got switched to Camber I had the dr write the script for name brand only. In my opinion they’re in the business of making poison and doing everything they can to cover it up. They don’t care how it affects the patients.

ATTENTION LAWYERS. Are any of u chronic pain patients or take generic percocet? The mfg are poisoning us. Someone has to open an investigation. I filled out the FDA online report in January. No response. REALLY? Show no regard for the citizens that pay your salaries.

I just got my regular script of Oxycodone. I had it filled at Walgreens and almost immediately realized it had "0" pain relief. This turns out to be the manufacturer Camber. These pills are worthless! I have dealt with severe chronic pain for years and I have never had this happen. I depend on my meds to function and I can't with this new generic junk. Contacted Walgreens and my Pain Center, but as I'm sure you have discovered, no change-out or solution. I was also informed that my script with brand would cost $4000.00. The opioid crisis is not helped by having to potentially take "bunches" of an ineffective pain medication. I am looking into getting an analysis of these pills because I have 26 more days before I can get a new script. Obviously we have to pay attention to these generics. If this was heart related, getting the correct medication would not be such an issue. Since pain is now just viewed as legally problematic, people dealing with chronic conditions also need to make some noise.

I’m in same boat & looking for a lab to analyze mypills. It is not just Camber. It seems to be all generic forms of oxycodone/acetiminiphen. There’s definately a change in formulation& effect. I’ve been a chronic pain patient for 25yrs. We know the difference yet seems cant get an honest answer of what has been added/deleted. Pls let me know if u find an honest Lab to analyze & I’ll sendmine to them, then we can have proof & move on to the next step. Also dear one & others, know u have not become intollerant nor r u losing your mind. This is real.

I am calling my Dr about this patients who are in constant pain is a hard way to live and not fair. I had a similar situation with generic synthroid now you would think exactly the same well NO!!! After a week on the generic I gained 10 pounds was so fatigued so I then got the brand from Abbvie and with 2 weeks all symptoms were gone. You actually can have your Dr say on the script do not fill with camber and Walgreens will have to substitute. This is insane someone posted that they were experiencing withdrawal and that’s because there is more filler than med and make the generic company fatten their pockets!!!

I had to have my doctor prescribe me straight oxycodone as the brand at Walgreens was causing me to projectile vomit. Camber I believe they were. How is it that Walgreens can get away with selling junk meds that are making people sick? It defeats the purpose of them working. I had zero relief cause I was throwing them up.

Yea I hear you!! I wasent calling you out specifically, I saw people on here saying they were gonna do that but never saw any answers!! I thought between the 800 people on here one person would of known someone in a place where they could make the test happen you know!! And yes it is harder to do than it sounds. But dam someone has to get it done cause I've NEVER SEEN so many people complain about a certain specific drug made by a single manufacturer that has done this much damage!!!

It's a battle and sometimes it comes down to picking our battles. Im with you; I will never trust anything manufactured by Camber. I question all the generic drug companys and otherwise but Ive been burnt badly by them.

Thanks and i believe you care. There is a couple problems with just getting another script. First of all; if you have picked up a script for 90 or 120 (the limit for the month), then your stuck with it. In my case I had been getting Activis for 18 months and had no idea that they were switching to Camber. Didnt notice until I got home. Wont happen again.

Even if the Doctor is willing to give you a new script, the insurance will not cover it, because you have filled your quota for the month. You could pay yourself "IF" the Doctor is willing to give you a new prescription. The Doctors are now in fear of loosing their license or being criminalized thanks to the witch hunt on opioids. A very effective drug for pain has been villified by our politicians. A drug that allows you to functions and have some quality of life. I heard twice on radio news today, that the deaths from opioids have not decreased. They followed that comment by saying; "the good news is the amount of prescriptions being given has decreased substantial". Made me so angry. Talk about laws that harm people in pain and do absolutely no good. I dont understand how someone who doesnt even deal with pain; doesnt get how that kind of reporting deceives the public and makes no sense.

That is correct that insurance will not pay for a second script in a 30 day period. My doctor was kind enough to write me a script for hydrocodone for the remainder of the month. Since it is a totally different drug insurance pays. She told me that if I was asked any questions to say we are just trying a med change for a short time. Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone else who might get this poison in the future.

What generic Percocet 10mg did anyone find a good brand. I usually order Aurolife L17 but last month they didn't work. I have been taking them for years so I no difference. Any feedback appreciated. Sue

If you get your meds and have an adverse event called the FDA hotline call the drug company hotline call the pharmacy hotline tell them you had an adverse drug events call your doctor and say the same thing in this case your insurance company must cover a replacement drug if you bring back say 59 tablets to your local pharmacy they have to replace it with 59 tablets of the good stuff not the camber crap find the brand that works what can I tell you

What pharmacy? Call ask for supervising pharmacist for region if local pharmacist wont swap. What type of adverse event did u have?
Report to dr as well. You will probably need another RX. If u have say 59 pills left, count in front of a Pharmacist. It's pure crap. They know it, but it's what corporate supplies. Show this thread for whatever it might help. Let me know the outcome. Lotsa luck.

Hopefully these side effects are temporarily. I am on 5 medications. I just started to take a new med that give me a few side effects but went away after a few days except for dry mouth, which I never remember getting before. I take lifesavers candy believe it or not to get rid I of the dry mouth.
