Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 16)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Took my first Camber Oxycodone yesterday 3-13-2018. One pill and I can still feel this poison in my body today. ONE PILL!!! Made me feel awful all day long. I am scared to take another. This is unacceptable. Before you fill a prescription ASK who makes it. Do not accept Camber! Or just stay away from Walgreens.

Accent makes it for Camber. It ruined my stomach so bad I'm having surgery on it tomorrow morning. Ascent pharmaceuticals. 631-851-0550 ext. 1400. 400 S Technology Dr. Central Islip, NY 11722-4402. Attn: Prathima Arrabelly is who I talked to and she sent me the letter not to take their brand again.

Re: Lildarlin (# 301) Expand Referenced Message

Lindarlin, I got the results from my MRI I had yesterday at UCLA; Chest, abdomen and pelvis. I had lung cancer surgery Sept. of 2016 (no chemo or radiation) and my scans were clean for all Organs, lungs, gastrointestinal, etc; until Sept of 2017. No esophagus ever mentioned in 5 ct scans and 2 pets in the last year. Now I started Camber the end of December 2017; that's when the burning throat, sternum pain started and squeaking sound in my throat. Still going on but not as severe. The only thing my current MRI (I did get contrast) shows is a esophageal nodule. From what I can tell it is not small. Endoscopy is highly recommended and biopsy. Also, from what ive read it is very rare for lung cancer to spread to the esophagus. Usually lymph nodes, bones, liver, adrenal glands. Ive made an appt with Gastro doctor but going to try to get something sooner. I will be checking in to see what you learned today. Lots to do and think about tomorrow. I'm sure your resting after your procedure.

Re: Bella (# 304) Expand Referenced Message

Bella, I am so very sorry to hear all of your news. Bless your heart and I'm overwhelmed with all u are going through. Remember when we both talked about both of our throats burning and u mentioned it felt like it opened your ulcers? Well i did post one post here yesterday before I went back to sleep 5 hours after my procedure. I posted the Ascent phone number, address, and the woman's name on my letter and packet. I posted this because my stomach in photos after I woke up my doctor could not believe. I had told him "gastroinionist" about the camber percocet way before and that's why my procedure was set up due to my throat burning and nothing would help my stomach and couldn't eat normal foods. Well my pictures were bright red. It was truly an open huge sore. My whole stomach. Said he has only seen few of these in his practice. My stomach lining has been eating away, it's not making the correct acid amount, or making too much. It's very unbalanced. He found 2 spots. They looked whitish with blood veins through them that concerned him. One is to the right of the bottom of my throat which is raw and very red as well. Not near as bad as my stomach. The second spot is in the middle of my stomach under where some of my stomach lining is GONE. His explanation after millions of questions before the test. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and none of my answers of food could have done this at all.

Then came the questions about toxins. He had already smelled the strong vinegar smell of the camber Percocet 10/325 in bottle I took with me, he said the same thing my pain doc said. The color was in consistent. The camber 10/325 are supposed to be yellow. Some of mine are almost white. The dye was mixed incorrectly he said as well as pain doc. He's having one of my pills analyzed by a toxicologist. The inactive ingredients can do no harm if it's the correct amounts in medication HOWEVER his concern is how much Cosprovidone and Providone was used. Usually one or the other is used but rarely both. It's a form of Formaldehyde, and even breathing too much of this is very toxic and can do a lot if harm. Cancer and other diseases. He can't formally put down that's what caused my stomach to change so bad so fast, but his finding was "toxins" it takes a little while to get the text on the camber Percocet back, but I'm grateful we will have an answer. I believe in my heart he knew it was this camber Percocet 10/325 or he wouldn't have gone ahead and have it analyzed by a toxicologist. The different color of dye, the strong smell of vinegar, what has happened to my stomach, it's too much to leave alone. Medications and a diet of foods I have to give up. I'm so angry at what has happened to all of us from Camber and Ascent who makes the pills for Camber. I posted Ascents information in a reply to bulldog. I was thinking I was replying to Jen but I was a bit still woozy.

Re: Lildarlin (# 303) Expand Referenced Message

That is the name of the person that was emailing me regarding my bad reactions to their pills. I wonder if that is who they have collecting all of our names and information. I recently got a call from the pharmacy manager at the Walgreens I used to go to regularly until they switched to Camber at the beginning of January. He asked me to call him regarding the issues I had and wanted to discuss a solution. I haven't had a chance to call him but I wonder if they are switching to something else and getting away from Camber. I'll have to call him and see what he has to say.

Re: Lildarlin (# 306) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for updating me. I'm so glad I found medschat and people to validate my concerns. I had a late afternoon therapy (just started recently to help deal with some of this) appt. and was running late this morning. I didn't have time to respond. Lots of questions I want to ask you but too exhausted tonight. For one, I was wondering if he ever described any of your condition as a nodule? Did he recommend any treatment at this point. Anyhow, the MRI was a good move but as the radiologist said, an endoscopy is required for full diagnosis. Plus, I need the MRI for other reasons. I'm glad that I kept those pills. Mine are the 5-325's with blue speckles. Thanks for your kind words and talk to you soon. {edited for privacy}

:(

Been following you and now that you're going through this horrible health scare due to these cambers, holy damn scary, my heart breaks for you and I hope and pray that you heal. I also had horrible experiences with stomach pain throwing up, obviously not as bad as what those pills did to you. That company should pay dearly and what they are doing to people is barbaric!! Please keep us posted, blessings for all.

OMG! Same here! Picked up Perc 5-325 Wed 3-15 Walgreens. Been taking for chronic ddd osteo spondy 2xd since 2015 prev manf ACTAVIS no issues until...vomited immediately after Wed pm dose. Didn't even think to check pill/manf until next day, when vomited again after Thurs am dose. Became disoriented, sore throat swelling, ears clogged/ringing/runny-nose-like allergies: WTH? MANUFACTURER CAMBER PILL STRANGE PALE BLUE-WHITE COLOR WITH DARK "PEPPER" SPECKLES STRONG "VINEGAR" SMELL. Called my local Walgreens right away described problems to pharmacist who gave me the run around no, it can't be CAMBER...until I said I was filing an online complaint. Then said he COULD get Activas again, but I would need a new 'script from doc writing specifying NO CAMBER. So now no meds for 28 days? Googled "camber perocet vomiting" the web sites exploded with complaints. What the hell is going on?

Re: Fed Up (# 257) Expand Referenced Message

Fed Up, I'm a noobie CHAMBER victim. See my recent post. FYI, I had the exact same problems with Kroger "Techs" that made me decide they weren't licensed in any way after laughing when I described a side effect and slamming down the phone. I was shocked. That's when I switched to Walgreens, I believe it was 2015. Now I'm getting the shaft from them, too. I agree big pharma, etc is trying to kill off the older generation. All we do is complain and never give up!

Bil (# 308) --

Same thing at my pharmacy. They all know it’s the same ingredients and then I called the regional manager and the FDA. Next thing I know they miraculously found another brand that wasn’t camber and I got a script from my doctor and I had to go through the day and a half of the insurance *****s but got a victory for the little guy.

I took one today from walgreens (camber) and I started getting what seemed like really bad heart burn almost like I needed to take a zantac or nexium. The rest of tonight I've been getting weird chest pain off and on. I've always lurked around these sites for years reading everyone's experiences with new meds to try and get an idea of what I was in for. It wasn't until today I felt like I had to say something. The strong vinegar smell is horrendous. I didn't feel any relief which is weird because over 10 years I've managed to have some kind of a life being able to function with different brands this is the first one I immediately felt sick in multiple ways after taking just one I'm seriously worried about taking another but I have to because I have fibromyalgia, degenerative discs, spinal stanosis, and arthritis. None of this is an exaggeration I got messed up in a car accident October 2006 Friday the 13th. I have 2 kids on the way I need to be on my A game for them. This was my last fill at Walgreens.

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I was give the Camber Percocet Mid February. I have been taking pain meds for more than 20 years and have tried probably most of the generics out there by now and never had any significant issues where I would refuse to ever take them again. I got so vomiting sick on these and stomach pains. Not cramps but pains! Very little pain relief if any.

I spent a week on them and then got an appointment to see my doctor and she was able to give me enough hydrocodone to get me thru til I could get the pharmacy to order the Actavis brand for me. I picked those up a week ago and was still feeling crappy from the Camber. I took an Actavis Percocet just as soon as I received them and by afternoon I was feeling more like myself and was able to take a nap! It was like night and day! My body felt poisoned by those Camber Percocet and I will never accept another med from that company. If you are in the same boat, don't wait. Call the pharmacy and let them know what happened so they can note it on your file and order you the usual meds next month and see if your doctor is kind enough to script you something else til your next refill. I would have endured 3 more weeks of not feeling good if I had not asked my doctor. It is criminal what this company is putting out and I hope they shut them down in the near future.

Thanks for the information I'm definitely going to be letting them know what's going on. I had to take one a few minutes ago and now I can't stop shaking. Its literally my whole body and the heartburn is back. I'm starting to get a little worried about this. I'm really starting to think it might be a really bad batch I have never had these issues ever I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now I can barely type this I'm shaking so much.

Re: Lildarlin (# 306) Expand Referenced Message

I just got a 5th call from the same number; Shanti at ext 1412. I still havent responded. What exactly have these done for you other than tell not you not to take it? Well, it sure it wasnt easy for us to just stop and get something else. Have they admitted there is a problem. Have they told you what they plan to do about? Do they want you to file a grievance?

Other than that, how are you feeling? Has your doctor started any kind of treatment?
I cant even get a gastroenterologist apt until April 3rd. Then Im sure it will take time to get the endoscopy approved. Very, very frustrating.

Re: Bella (# 316) Expand Referenced Message

That's so true about saying don't take their brand because they felt I was allergic to the product and get another brand. No I haven't talked to a person named Shanti. I posted a name in the info down the page. I cannot pronounce the first and last name so I just wrote how it was spelled on my email. I filed a huge complaint when I was puking my guts out. I got two phone calls. Second call wanted me to fill out forms. Perfect timing because I was throwing up and I told her I was way to sick from their medicine to fill out forms. She heard me really really sick. Then I got the email about it would be best to show my doc and pharmacist the letter from that person I wrote down saying I shouldn't take it because I may be allergic to their brand and take another. What if the pharmacy didn't have another brand? My thoughts were the same as your question. That's why I said I think ascent and camber are one of the same. Well they are since ascent makes the pills for camber. I had my appt. for 3 weeks and that was on cancellation of someone for my stomach. I go back in 3 months unless i hear otherwise sooner. I'm on a very strict diet, and a medication for my stomach. I'm waiting for the toxicologist to analyze the pill. Even on a month back on actavis, that camber really messed me up. Messed up my stomach really bad. As my doc put it. The medication I have left over smells like I was drinking pure "hard cider vinegar" several times a day. It's better of course than it was but I'm really worried if it will ever be normal. Still burns very bad. The camber started messing up my stomach the first day. Throwing up so much I know didn't help either. I sure hope u are ok. I hope your stomach is not like mine. I don't have some results of the test back yet. I'm waiting on some blood results. This has caused a lot of problems for too many people. Talk soon.

Re: Lildarlin (# 317) Expand Referenced Message

Allergic??? Yeah most people are allergic to toxic poisons. How dare they say that. Well, I'm not surprised. Just 16 pages here of allergic people and another site. They have deleted the facebook site where people were complaining. I may call her but I think she will be sorry if I call. I have more to say, be back later. What medication does he have you taking?

I sure hope they get away from Camber. Our chronic pain is bad enough. We don't need this.

The main thing is getting the infection gone. Yes this camber Percocet caused an infection in upper stomach huge ulcer. On antibiotics for that and PPI's. Go back for bloodwork in 10 days to see if infection is gone. I'm scard to death in gonna have to have stomach surgery from all this. I knew when I started vomiting small amounts of blood something was very wrong. That was immediately after taking the posion camber. I've never had anything like this in my life with stomach. I'll know a whole lot more when I go back for bloodwork. That's why I was 100 percent fatigued, fever, felt like I was dying. Infection ears up the stomach lining
