Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 14) (Top voted first)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Re: Lildarlin (# 140) Expand Referenced Message

Unfortunately no one of any importance cares... We're just 3rd class citizens in a failed war on drugs, we're the newest victims and we have ZERO allies in our plight! That pretty much sums it up...

Watch out for tylenol otc having crosspovidone (formaldehyde) as well as Camber generic oxycodone with tylenol...double dose and if you take Pepsid more Crosspovidone (formaldehyde)! Check those ingredients!

So sorry that you are suffering from the pain and from the drug, I to am suffering, I read your post many many posts ago and took the time to hunt it back down because you mentioned that your muscles are wasting away, MINE are too, it's happening very fast, I would say three or four months, with noticeable skin thinning also. I mentioned it to my primary, he said "well, you aren't getting any younger" yeah, I know that and except aging as a part of life, but THIS is happening right before my eyes, I'm only 53 and had an amazing body that now is starting to look like that of a 70 year old woman, no disrespect there. Why am I wasting away so fast, what the hell are they putting in my pain medication!! Hmmm, maybe it was that last epidural spinal injection, it certainly seems to coincide, I don't know, this whole roller coaster ride is driving me into a pit of disparity and disbelief. I don't trust the government, FDA and now the dr's that are supposed to have my back, I to am scared and hurting and wasting away from the treatment plan that's supposed to be healing me. Seriously, I think that they are trying to kill us. Flushing out the swamp and throwing us right into it along with all of the other swamp creatures. I'm trying my dam best to hold my head up in this thick muck but feel like I'm loosing. Sad sad sad. You are not alone my friend!!!

What you read on the internet about crospovidone will tell you that few people have a reaction to it. I spoke to the independent pharmacy (always gives me the truth) a couple weeks ago and he said; "that is not true. He has many people very allergic to that and has compounded their medication." I talked about the povidone vs. the crospovidone. It seems as though the povidone is iodine but the crospovidone is the problem because its a mixture of some kind. I told him that the crospovidone mention formaldehyde. He raised his voice and said; "That too". I ask him how we are supposed to figure out what poison they are putting in all of generic meds. He said as pharmacist, we have a hell of time figuring it out. I called him because i have off the Camber and back Actavis since Jan. 24th and my symptoms are IBS and acid reflux. Well unknowingly, I pulled out a script I had from last year for Omeprazole (generic for Prilosec) that was prescribed in the ER for chest pain. It was not the problem and it made me sick after a few days. It desperation and no concern by doctors, I decided to try it. After few days and symptoms got worse, I looked it up and Mylan omeprazole has crospovidone as the second ingredient. He told me please do not take that.

Anyhow my throat still hurts and other symptoms are that of irritable bowel. Other symptoms have improved since being off Camber and it treats pain better. Now, I had lung cancer surgery last year and I dont wont another high dose CT scan. The doctors have done too many. I have requested an MR of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. Waiting approval from the insurance company. Also, i need to schedule an endoscopy to find out whats going on. I just KNOW that this all started with the Camber percocet. Actavis tells me there formula only has povidone but they tell me the ingredients are proprietary. In other words; none of business. Frankly if a pharmacist cant trust whats in these generics, how can we. I really believe this problem is connected to other irresponsible guidelines by the CDC on opioids. I think its all political and people that have never had to deal with chronic pain ignorantly condone this mess; which made up by politicians who continually make things worse when there pandering for votes. Take a look at CVS (not Walgreens yet) new limits for opioids/limits for on state news.

Re: Marv (# 143) Expand Referenced Message

Exactly my thought as well! There has to be an attorney out there willing to take on a legal suit against BIG PHARMA for the behind the scenes changing the percocet brand & generics in an effort to save abuser’s from misuse/overdose over the livelihoods of us GOOD CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS! They’re slowly killing us as their true mission is to control the population as another factor as well as in the so-called preventative “well meds” also loaded w/ dangerous fillers.

Re: MeJane (# 149) Expand Referenced Message

I contacted Bisnar and chase. They are large firm of attorneys who handle pharmaceutical suits and personal injury, etc. I spent a long time detailing the issues with side effects and non regulated inactive ingred being manufactured and bought in other countries for by Drug Companys. They wrote back and said; "They only handle catastrophic cases." ; yet their site pops up on sites like this. That happened after I contacted them until I clicked onto "stop receiving add". I felt like saying; "when I die, I will have my family contact you for help".

Re: nomas (# 155) Expand Referenced Message

I can ask that question. However as i said in a comment today; the independent pharmacist told me that they have a very hard time trying to find out the exact formulas and ingredients. Interesting though. I did not know that.

Re: nomas (# 155) Expand Referenced Message

I’m convinced FDA’s secretly added NALAXONE an opiod antagonist filler to new Percocet et al opiod pain meds to deflect addicts from wanting a “high” from them. I consider this to be unlawful & victimizing to all who take this PERCOCET LEGALLY FOR MEDICAL REASONS! Would appreciate your thoughts on this Nomas & all. We’re in this together & need to figure this out as its detrimental to our health & well-being. If need be might be time to proceed legally. Petitions dont seem to be acknowledged so what’snext to do. I hate legal paperwork but what choice do we have?!?

Re: MeJane (# 160) Expand Referenced Message

I think we were detoxed off opioids without even knowing it. I think they have come up with something that's not opioids to dull pain. Opioids were chosen for pain meds because they replace a bad feeling with a good one which accounts for most of your pain relief. The government doesn't want you to feel anything good from pain meds. China has been making designer drugs mimicking methamphetamine and marijuana and other drugs staying one step ahead of DEA by changing a single molecule to keep it off the illegal list. People liked them so I think this what is being done with pain meds is along the same line. I may be wrong but the pain meds I am getting just aren't getting the job of relieving the pain done, but that's just what I think, maybe they are working for you. I'm sure some people think they are, people who are new to pain meds and that's what the government is counting on. You can get off these pain meds and that alone should tell you they are not opioids!

Re: Marv (# 164) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks alot for your do diligence Marv!

We all need to come together with one voice to say NO MORE AND NEVER AGAIN will we be silent and allow our government or big pharma to kick us to the curb with inferior generic narcotic analgesics to treat our severe chronic pain because of what drug abusers do with them! Stop treating us like 3rd class citizens in our own country! Stop abusing severe chronic pain sufferers because of YOUR failed war on drugs! We are the innocent who are being treated as if we're the problem, when clueless government over reach is the problem!

It doesn't take a very smart person to know what's actually going on here! Big pharma and the government's opiate epidemic created so big pharma can create a whole new generation of drugs with new pill prices for 10 years and then repackage them several more times for a 30+ year strangle hold of new outrageous pill prices because the current line up of opiates have reached the end of being repackaged for new pill prices!

It's not our fault the government cannot control controlled substances! It's 100% the governments fault, but we the severe chronic pain patients are the scape goats! This is definitely the lowest of the low to scape goat legitimately suffering Americans even for the huge Swamp American Government, but then we all know just how low down our government can be! We're the newest example of just how insanely out of control the government is and they're trying to justify it as we needlessly suffer! It makes people like us want to beat these politicians with baseball bats everyday and tell them all you get is Tylenol and we're going to limit the amount of Tylenol to the same dose for all because one size fits all in our socialistic view of pain management!

Now how insane is that?

Oh! Wait! Here comes another government study getting the results the government wants because they're paying for it!

How can anyone with a conscience allow innocent legitimate severe chronic pain sufferers suffer in this country and try to justify it? The American government and big pharma won't even blink, lose 1 second of sleep and then blame us for their failed policies! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, HOW DARE YOU!!!

Re: nomas (# 169) Expand Referenced Message

Yes you are absolutely correct. Those of us chronic pain mgmt patients who have been on a regimented, controlled PERCOCET program for years know the difference. With all the many shared same side effects we’ve all been experiencing for this same time period there’s know way we could all have reached our tolerance to the same medication at the same time either. Its obvious to us we have been given a placebo or new synthetic opioid without us knowing it being used as guinea pigs to test it WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR CONSENT! This has to be true as there seems to be no other common denominator here. Those who are new patients wouldnt know the difference. Glad our experience lets us educate them to the fact we are being used & POISONED. Its making me crazy. Ive tried every generic in last 8 months & all same give or take. All these new formulated ones do thats positive is keep me out of physical dependence withdrawals PERIOD. My next step to really seal the deal if its only the generic forms is on my next refill I’ve already arranged to be “medically necessary BRAND ONLY PERCOCET” authorized by my doctor & my insurance company. Problem so far here in FL is locating a pharmacy that carries or can order the brand. My pharmacy & others have told me so far their wholesaler’s dont carry it?!? I’ll keep trying though; once I get the Brand Percocet I’ll let you all know my observations. We’ve got to stick together on this ”Go Team Good Patients!” We will win this fight!

That is not exactly true, that Walgreens will not order activist if they run out. I live in the San Diego area and my Walgreens had received a number of complaints and so did in fact reorder activist which I got with my last refill

Re: Marv (# 179) Expand Referenced Message

I did report my issue with Camber's generic Percocet to the FDA. You just have to go to their website and fill out a form. But i've had a representative from Ascent Pharmaceuticals, which I assume is maybe the parent company of Camber emailing me nonstop since. And at first I couldn't fill out the form since I was in the hospital after having surgery on my spine. And she emailed me daily. Then gave me a number I could call to answer their questions and it just rang and rang. In my opinion they are a joke. And don't care about the consumer, only themselves.

Re: Marv (# 179) Expand Referenced Message

I feel your frustration. I too am so frustrated at the lies and bs that is going on for the sake of cleaning up this "opioid crisis". Our lives were holding somewhat steady following the program, now we are being thrown into the swamp to be flushed, being fed lies (i.e. There's nothing wrong with the new drug, it's all in your head, pain pills don't work after 6 weeks, on and on). My head is spinning, my heart is skipping, my stomach is churning, my head is pounding. The pain, did I mention the pain? I picked up my new (W. ordered actavis back for me) pain pills & they are a bit better than those poison cambers, but doing absolutely nothing for the pain, soooo freaking frustrated. I don't know what to do. Yes, let's do something, complain to who, who is going to take heart and decide that chronic pain is REAL and the people that have it are suffering? Ok let's all go to our happy place, ommmmm. Happy chronic pain, isn't that an oxymoron!!! Oxy, oh that's funny.

Re: Marv (# 179) Expand Referenced Message

I'm truly sorry that your suffering like that. I think someone mentioned on this site recently that the surgeon general informed them that they had no jurisdiction over the FDA. Not sure about that. Everybody likes to pass the buck. I read an article a while back about reporting to the FDA; while sick on the Camber. It mentioned how complicated they make it. What a surprise huh!! They require some code for each inactive ingredient. I forget what else it said but I've dealt with similar govt forms before and whatever it said, was enough to make me say; "screw it".

Now, I did write to my local senator in Ca. last night. I sent him a couple of links that had very articulate comments from people. I had a few more things to say. Certainly could have said more but it was a start. We shall see if I hear anything. Also, got a call today from the manufacturer of Camber (not the pharmaceutical co.) to call them about my complaint. I don't even recall giving them my number. The woman had an Indian accent. I didn't get a chance to call back today but will try to get to it tomorrow.

No Im not filing with the FDA (medwatch). Im not sure but I think it would be more effective if the your doctor did. They dont want to be bothered with. I do wish you the best of luck with that though.

Re: MeJane (# 160) Expand Referenced Message

I wouldn't be on this site talking about my perks if they were working as they did at a point and time. I'm sure most of you wouldn't be either and most of the people on here are having the same problem as I. What do you think MEJANE, are you having a problem with new perks or do you think they are the best thing since Coke Cola like maybe 2 people on this site? Makes you wonder what they are doing on this site if everything's so great and they are feeling soooo gooood.
