Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 13) (Top voted first)
UpdatedJust got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?
Re: Lildarlin (# 78)
I had so many problems with Camber. I was throwing up, as well, and I take the strongest dose of Zofran for nausea and I Still threw up. My Dr. let me change pharmacies. And Walgreens put 3 blood pressure pills in my Benadryl bottle. I returned them and didn't file a complaint. Imagine if I had taken them? My blood pressure is normal!!!

I am so sorry. I've had these symptoms and I'm getting very dehydrated. It's bad enough when I'm 100 percent disabled due to the painful injuries and of course the severe pain effects our nervous system and the the way we think, DO and say things. I am speaking for myself :( my family is getting very worried because of the constant throwing up each time this camber touches my stomach, the shaking like tremors, my lips, eyes and toung swelling. My sister took me to Walgreens when I looked like death, and explained about my swelling of the lildarlin1, toung, etc.. and all the Walgreens pharmacist said was... " I guess you are allergic to something in the medication" she looked up my record and saw I had been taking actavis and did not say one word but my sister sure did. The people that we are suppose to ask questions to like pharmacist don't care anymore and I barely walked out of there with my sister holding me up in so much pain crying my eyes out. Today I am missing my youngest grandsons birthday due to The pain and sickness. :( :( I'm so very sorry u are having these problems. I'm so sorry. We have to keep speaking about this no matter how sick we get. Something has to be done.

To clarify, its the manager at Walgreens pharmacy I will ask for the Camber ingredients. Otherwise I would have to Call India but they just want to take your phone number. Also the woman at Teva (re actavis) tried to tell me that the generic was exactly the same as the name brand. The only difference was that name brand companys pay for the research and development. From what ive read this is not true. Generics Are Not required to have the same inactive ingred. I have not presented that research to her yet. They make the name brand to and ive heard its better to deal with a manufacture that makes the name brand also. Not sure about that.
Re: Lildarlin (# 91)
Here are the ingredients in Actavis: Activ ingred. first; The active ingredients in Oxycodone/Acetaminophen Tablets are 5 mg Oxycodone hydrochloride, USP (which is equivalent to 4.4815 mg of oxycodone) and Acetaminophen, USP 325 mg. The inactive ingredients are croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized corn starch, silicon dioxide and stearic acid.
Re: Bella (# 95)
Thank u for that. I was just about to call my doctor, to call me in some phenergan for nausea. I can't stand it anymore. I too have had the burning in the throat at times but didn't know what it was. All I know is I've been in severe pain management and this is the first time I've ever had these problems while on this medication and for years ive taken it very responsibly for my injuries and pain. Also Rhodes generic has both of the crosprovidone and providone as well. That's why people on Rhodes are getting sick like camber.
Re: Lildarlin (# 94)
I've got the inactive ingredients in Camber percocet. The pharmacist sent me a pdf file from her iphone. I can't figure out how to copy and paste it; so I will have to write it out and then send it later. They use a different dye for each strength. Both the of the ingredients that we're concerned about crosprovidone and providone are in the Camber. The higher up on the list it is, means a higher strength of it. Mine are blue 5mg-325.
Re: MeJane (# 102)
I know! I saw that yesterday and i am so sensitive to things make from formaldehyde. I cant even have carpet in my home. I have to have hard wood floors. This must be what is making my toung, lips, and eyes swell not to mention I feel like I have a whole in my stomach. It clearly states it contains.... ALCOHOL! in the red box. Go to the Camber home page. look up the products... oxycodone/325 or what dose u take. This is before the insert. It will tell you what it dont contain like nuts, dairy... but says it contains ALCOHOL. This has to be a reason for my stomach burning... IM so upset
Re: Bella (# 95)
See the Activas leaves out the Crosprovidone!! Thats why the actavis didnt make us sick We all have to do something about this!
Re: Lildarlin (# 108)
The Inactive Ingredients In Camber Percocet:
Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Croscarmellose sodium, Crospovidone, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Povidone, Pregelatinized Starch, Stearic Acid.
5/325 MG Contains FD & C Blue #1
7.5/325 MG Contains FD & C Yellow #6
10/325 MG Contains D & C Yellow #6
This article explains the difference between FD & C and D & C...

Compare to the inactive ingredients in Actavis; The inactive ingredients are croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized corn starch, silicon dioxide and stearic acid.
Note; No dyes or Crospovidone in Actavis. I dont think the dyes help either. The Camber has both crospovidone and Povidone. Guess that means more of the filler in the Camber. So does the camber have a double dose. If so, thats not good. Seems crospovidone is iodine/formaldehyde. I want to ask the pharmacist if it is common to use crospovidone. It's my best guess thats the problem. Actavis emailed me and said their formula has not changed since oct. 2013. Of course they wouldnt say what country the ingredient came from. They just said; The country of origin for the individual ingredients is proprietary and subject to change due to business needs. All I know is I have been off the Camber and back on Actavis for 2 weeks. My throat is on fire and Im exhausted. Probably still the side effects of the Camber. I just dont know.
OK folks,,, I know all of you are in so much pain as I am but it doesent help to add alcohol and formeldehyde to our pain meds. Here is a list of what is "not" in the ingredents and what IS in there. IM shocked... DOES NOT CONTAIN. Gluten Free, Dairy Free,Lactose Free, Whey Free,Soy Free,Rye Free, Sugar Free,Wheat free, Spelt Free, Barley Free, Rennet Free,Oats Free, Preservativies Free,... CONTAINS ALCOHOL, DYE, CORN AND ANIMAL PRODUCTS. I dont believe alot of the things it dont contain :(
Re: Bella (# 110)
Hi Bella. Thank you. However I just copied off the page of Camber and I got this... The 10/325 Oxycodone is this... Look at the bottom... Inactive Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized starch, and stearic acid.; 2.5/325mg contains FD&C Red #40; 5/325MG contains FD&C Blue #1; 7.5/325MG contains FD&C Yellow #6; 10/325MG contains D&C Yellow #10
Re: Bella (# 110)
Im allergic to iodine, dyes. The other stuff that is formaldehyde has to be taken out. No reason it should be in there at all. I cant even eat Lemon Cake or anything yellow in food. The 7.5 Camber oxycodone/326 is the dye #6 and the 10/325 with imprint is 194. A very strange looking yellow.. #10
Re: Lildarlin (# 116)
I'm so confused at this point. I just know that this is not the first time I have had a bad reaction to generic drugs. Although this being one of the worst. I think if more doctors would do genetic evaluations of enzymes it would help. These diagnostics can produce your drug responses and make our medicines safer. Instead, my complaints have been ignored or I'm told, "some people do just fine on that medication". Our genetic makeups are ALL different. Who knows; maybe insurance doesn't cover something that would actually help us.
Re: Lildarlin (# 116)
Yesssss! Mine same. Inconsistant coloring of lemon yellow to dark randomly per pill. No moisture has been near it. Very bizarre.
MeJane (# 117) --
Same here. Light yellow but when it gets wet enough it turns a bright yellow. There is no powder residue on my bottle either like all my ones before. Yes, very bazaar and the smell inside of the bottle is a strong chemical/plastic smell. Enough for those fumes to make anybody sick.
Re: Bella (# 110)
It's the wired dyes and the Crosprovidone that's left out of activas that kept us from getting sick. This CAMBER has the Crosprovidone and providone. It's too much fillers and binders. It needs to be reformulated without dyes and leave the Crospovidone out. It would make a huge difference. If the other medications do not have it then this don't need it..... by the way... Rhodes oxycodone/ apap has both in it. That's why so many are getting sick on that and why I can't take Rhodes either.
MeJane (# 125) yes please let me know how it works for u.
Re: nomas (# 123)
I have never heard of naloxone being in a pain med. Seems 20thghat would surly throw a patient in withdrawals
Re: Lildarlin (# 127)
I will share results with you all. We are in this together :)))
Re: nomas (# 123)
I read that it can be used for " extended release " and not breakthrough. I'm already in an w xtended release medicine with my oxycodone/apap as breakthrough. Lord I hope I didn't or we all didn't get a hold of one of these from Camber. Maybe that could be why I have no pain relief and puking my guts out since Ive never had a side effect with percocet for 12 years. It would have to be printed in the bottle however, and since it's not, I'm just allergic to the dyes and something else i n the camber
