Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 11)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Do u know what pain management Is? I'm lucky to have one of the best. Pill counts and drug panels every appointment. Happy it's like that. Weeds out the wrong people. Let just say I followed orders. What I did right led me to the actavis I'm taking now. Hope that helped. Best advice I have is always follow your doctor's orders along with communication.

Lil, pain I know very well. You and I are certainly in the same boat. My situation will never get better, as it seems yours. And you're right. There is NOTHING cute or humorous about it! I will not bore the masses with my litany of ailments. Suffice it to say it's never gonna get better. So you and I are in the same boat and to be handed what should be comfort, that ends up to further our sufferings is just wrong on every level. Do not toy with us. What a d#@% shame!

When your in pain management.. there comes rules. I would never break the rules if my life depended on it because I want to be a patient of my p.m. doc for as long as he sees patients as myself. Many rules on his part, many rules on our part. I do not complain at all for my monthly pill count and drug panel. Frankly I like it that way. Bit of advice... Never Never Never seek out another doctor. You will lose what doctor u have right away and I would never on my life take such a stupid chance. That is just so stupid. The ones that do that are not truly serious about their pain management therapy. I'm not a fool.

I think Google is not our friend when we’re searching for negative effects on certain items if their cheeping out and screwing us on the active ingredient in the generic and filling it with crap what’s to stop them from paying off Google to not show the negative side effects? I'm surprised people found this in the first place, by this I mean the thread that I started on medschat.

My normal pharmacy didn't have enough to fill my prescription for the first time in about 6 years. Since I've always went to same pharmacy got the M ones I can't remember the manufacturer I didn't think twice about what generic I'd get or how different they would be somewhere else. So off I go to Walgreens since they were closest and I had to get to work. Well I got the Cambers and they are definitely ineffective and cause side effects. I will say the side effects have lessened over the last 10 days and I take Pepto about 20mins before my perc dose time but never again will I go there and never again will I not first ask what mfr they use. These Cambers are bad Something def not right but luckily for me as of now I think I can make it through to my next fill without too much trouble. I do think taking the Pepto helps somewhat though to minimize the stomach issues.

Re: JMJ (# 194) Expand Referenced Message

Sometimes you're options are to take what you got or go through withdrawals. Getting the pills replaced is not easy. Most dr's,mine included, won't just write a new script when they just gave you a 30 day supply. Also the insurance most likely won't cover it. The pharmacy would not take my pills back (walgreen). They told me once they cross the counter and leave the store they can't take them back. My dr called them to ask them to order what they used to carry to replace my script, they also told her no. It could be different in other states. Before giving me a new script my dr (who also legally could not take the pills from me) wanted me to properly dispose of the medication but provide proof. With the opioid crisis dr's want to cover themselves. Even my local police department couldn't help. Every one just pointed me to their drop box. But that method offers no proof. Since i hit nothing but brick walls i asked my dr what i should do for the rash and if they could give me something for nausea. I already suffer from a number of gastrointestinal issues so this was no picnic for me. Eventually I did find a way to get rid of the pills and get a receipt. In my state (CT) it was the department of consumer protection's drug enforcement division. It took me 2 miserable weeks to get rid of those Camber pills. Besides making me horribly sick mine had blue dye in them, which i am allergic to, thankfully not life or death allergic. So for some the options are take the pills and hope it the side effects lessen as your body adjusts or don't take them and go through withdrawals. But just getting a replacement or new script called in somewhere else is incredibly difficult if not impossible for some. That is why we keep taking them.

I took them too; until I got something else. They helped a little with the pain but the side effects were horrible. All these ridiculous new guidelines have the doctors afraid they will they will loose their license. My oncologist didnt want to be bothered. They have turned doctors into pencil pushers. No wonder they have no time to spend with their patients. Fortunately, palliative care helped me and what a hassle for them and me. I had to call the insurance co. (medicaid) and loose my mind. They had already neglected my care all along; so I guess they figured they better do something. I still have the Camber pills. I offered them back to palliative and they didnt want them. Im keeping them for evidence; because my stomach is still not right after being back on the Activist for 5 weeks. Still gas and burning stomach on and off. I have scans coming up in 10 days. Need to get to a gastroenterologist now too. Of course they make it almost impossible to hold drug companys responsible. If they told me to drop them off somewhere, I wouldnt bother. Best wishes Jen.

Thank you Jen for a good explanation. I appreciate what you've said and see that if there is nothing to replace the ineffective pills you have to wait until new script and go through withdrawl making yourself sick OR continue to take them making yourself sick. I just thought those pills were actually doing her grave damage, whereas withdrawl, and all I know is my own, I admit, doesn't actually do damage for most of us. And as you said, they gave a little pain benefit, but again, the price people had to pay! Now you are going to a specialist!!!! Maybe you should sense Camber the bill! Lil, too! JMJ

I've have been taking 4 different kinds of 10/325 oxycodone and they all have been changed. Yes they help some, which is better than nothing. Opioids have a 100 yrs of notoriety in the US. The effects of opioid agonists is nothing new; HARRISON NARCOTICS ACT 1914. As I am typing this, a bill is up to vote on that will stop medicare/cade from paying for pain meds, then Insurance will follow. Check out NATIONAL PAIN REPORT. These Dr's that have a couple of cysts on their backs and think these cysts are wings sprouting are making money off the government and Insurance companies from LETS MAKE AMERICA SOBER AGAIN bs clinics. They know opioids are the only way to stop pain and that's why they still make opioids without the blockers in them for hospice patients and hospitals. Reports that says 12 yr olds are doing opioids is nothing but BULL S***... Where would a 12yr old get the money to buy it and who would sell it to a 12 yr old? This is being used by the fake news and the people on this crusade to stop opioids from being used for pain relief. More than likely they had a relative with a mental issue that didn't know any better be caused they didn't get the medical help they needed. Mental health problems are overlooked because no one wants to think their child or loved one needs it. It's just like these school shootings, taking the gun away isn't going to stop it just like taking OPIOIDS away isn't going to stop people with MENTAL issues from taking their lives or someone else's life. People want to blame something other than putting the blame where it should be, MENTAL problems, but they cant except that.

They were doing me severe damage. My stomach is so bad I'm going to have a light put down in it because my stomach is one huge ulcer. My whole stomach. It's like a huge raw sore. The camber did it. I wrote 3 post last night but they may not be posted. If so, I was trying to explain why I had to keep taking them and how truly sick my stomach still is. I had to eat baby food and ice cream. If my 3 post pop up, it explains a lot more

Oh my! I just now looked up why my remaining camber pills smell so strong like a cider vinegar along with the different colors of light yellow to almost white on my camber Percocet. When one of those gets wet it turns very orange. I FOUND a very good site saying if your oxycodone turns color when wet.. ( Mine turns bright orange) or the strong smell of vinegar it most likely can be counterfeit. The ones I have left in my lock box will knock u down with smell of strong cider vinegar. Now I'm really scars my stomach, nerves and other things are worse than I fear. My stomach won't get well :(:( never have I had a pill to smell,... except these poison 10/ 325 camber percocets:(

Correction: keeping those for my proof. I'm taking actavis but now I feel my some of us have really been damaged.. Bella, Jen, I know u two have stomach problems as well. This scares me from what I read and it's a reputable site. Yes my diet will consist of sugar free I've cream, and jello today. More baby food to come :(

Lildarlin (# 210) --

As time goes by; Im beginning to get very concerned too. The only time I get relief is when ive taken the immediate release Actavis and the pain/burning in the tummy (upper abdomen) goes away. However when I eat, my stomach hurts and I get really bad gas. More fatigue too and anxiety. I have agonized trying to deterrmine if the Actavis is different (maybe not as strong) or if the Camber has given mean ulcers. I know one thing; I never had this problem until the first of the year when I got the Camber for the first time.

Out of date, expired can give off the strong smell as well, and or counterfeit. There is a specific site that explains this.
Someone here on the board posted back a while theirs gave off that bad chemical smell. Yes at first it was a strong chemical smell. Now that my leftover 20 something pills are locked up no telling what's growing in there there way the extreme odor of hard apple cider came pouring out 2 weeks ago. Also it can be made with very cheap binders and the pain relief is very little. Sorry for so many post but I was not sick before and I just had horrible pain. This sickness makes me angry. I'm not an angry person but that stuff has taken a lot of my life away in bed. I'm tired of it!!:( I feel like crying because I'm in so much pain and now I can't eat normal food because of the camber 10 Percocet. I missed my grandsons 6th birthday because of my stomach:( ::(

It's not the actavis. I was taking it too long. It's the camber Bella. Did u read down what I found? I had to find why the smell of strong cider vinegar is in my bottle. It's not that the actavis. There are a few reasons and another besides counterfeit, expired, is very cheap chemicals. My pills were noticed in the office that they were different colors in consistent. Light yellow to off white ( docs office). They didn't like the smell either. Even said they didn't even mix the dye correctly. That's the day I got my actavis. I'm keeping these for proof of why my stomach is so very bad

Dear Bella, u are describing me. I've got every sick symptom u have. The bad stomach, hurting up high with or without food, the anxiety is off my charts, but I'm terrified what I found that if it changes color when wet, and mine goes to orange (Camber) it can be counterfeit. Also, this site says if the pill is not bitter, watch out!! All of this is true with my Camber. Did we get a poison-batch? The posts were in December and January.

Re: Lildarlin (# 213) Expand Referenced Message

I took the Actavis for 16 months. I guess it just seems like it wears off quicker now but that could be because my stomach hurts and I feel the need to take it to ease the pain. I mentioned a few days ago, that I got a call from Camber manufac. about my complaint. It was a woman with an Indian accent. I havent called back yet. Just too busy with other things. I fail to see what good it would do. Im scheduled for and MRI of the chest, abdomen and pelvis with and without contrast on the 13th. We will see what that shows.
