TT (# 6) -Go to Wright Path Recovery in Dayton Ohio I go there and get subutex and receive no hassle its an in and out process for the most part if you cant take suboxone tell them and they will give you subutex they are one of the only clinics who don't hassle you
Hi,
I had been on subutex 8mg 2.5 tabs [20mgs] daily but just last week out of no where my dr discharged me from the program stating my labs were off and couldn't explain their finding. All they would say Is that my Lamictal and wellbutrin (which are both antidepressants) levels were high. And that they didn't feel comfortable treating me any longer and stated that they would refer me to a higher level of care and to give me resources (which they never did either one).So here I was left to try and search for another dr and trying to find another dr/clinic to prescribe the subutex is near obsolete now due to the good old VA commonwealth laws. Even though it's stated in my medical records that I've had allergic reactions to it but the dr that I just saw here in VA told me unless I had an anaphylactic shock that they were unable to prescribe those to me. So I was left w no choice but to try the suboxone again and here I am after 3 days of being on them feeling worse than ever - constipated, sleepy, not able to keep my eyes open - but of course I'm unable to sleep as well so I'm assuming that may be the reason also. I want to get off these so bad I feel like I'm on probation having to jump thru so many hoops to even get a script it's ridiculous, and being on medicaid makes it worse since it has stricter guidelines (counseling, at least 4 urine screens a yr).
But I do pay for my meds out of pocket only thing it covers is my dr apt anyhow they're paperwork states that they're going to give 24 random drug checks a yr?? Seems extreme to me. Like I said it's ridiculous to have to go thru all of this. Has anyone else had to make a switch from the subutex to the suboxone, and if so how did y'all feel? What did y'all do to make the experience better? What can I do to try n get myself off these so I'm not under so much stress and anxiety of having to deal with all of this crazy? I have ptsd, depression, bipolar, and anxiety but of course unable to get my script back for anxiety as I was prescribed Xanax approx 6 yrs ago. Went to one physiatrist and he was going to prescribe my Xanax back to me due to all the tragic events I've encountered in life but once he saw on the prescription monitoring program that I was on the subs he wouldn't prescribe them to me. Does anyone know of anywhere I could go to get my subutex back n or possibly get my anxiety medicine back? I'm located near Harrisonburg VA. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
TT
Re: Patricia T (# 4)
Try GoodRx, I get 120 subutex 8 mg tablets for $128.54. It's about 1$ per pill.
Re: Roxanne56 (# 3)
Not to be mean, but I find it so hard to understand why people that are on ssi/ Medicaid get the genuine strips, and my husband pays $1000.00 a month for bc/bs through the union, and they have restricted me to all generics!? That, to me, is insane and unfair!
Thank God for these strip's. After loosing the Roxane brand I've tried all generic subutex and there all basically very inferior to the brand suboxone film. I'm a very happy camper now getting brand subs
Buprenorphine 8mg I subutex buprenorphine 8/2mg Is actually suboxone 8mg buprenorphine and 2mg naloxone there are strips that come in 2,4,8,12 mg by the brand name suboxone as well as many generic sublingual pills as well
There is a medication called Subutex that solely contains Buprenorphine, so you would only see the single dosage for it. However, Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so it would list 2 dosages, one of the most common of which contains 8mgs of the opiate and 2mgs of the Naloxone.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
Thus, I think you may be looking at 8/2mgs, rather than 8.2
What are the markings on the tablet in question?
