Brintellix Has Stopped My Anxiety Spikes And Alcohol Craving
UpdatedI've been on 10mg of Brintellix for 3 weeks now after a week of taking 5mgs. Initially the nausea was bad in the morning, but that has recently improved a lot. My experience so far is that it has drastically reduced my anxiety spikes and it's incredible to no longer be at the mercy of those horrible gripping pangs in my solar plexus. I used to drink quite a lot of wine over weekends because I found it helped with my social anxiety (despite facing the consequences of malaise the following day!) But did not feel the urge to have any wine this weekend and was not as much in need of something to relax and enjoy myself. My boyfriend complained that I was a bit of a zombie the first week or so, but I feel increasingly sharper and more able to think on my feet and remember stuff. So far I'm loving it more than the Aropax, Lexapro and Xanax I used to have to take to cope with my anxiety and depression. I'm bipolar 2 and find it goes well with my Wellbutrin and lamotrogine. Hang in there!
