My father was 32% burn from electric and admitted in hospital. After one month he developed DVT. Now he is suffering this problem from two month and taking Acitrom 6mg daily, After that he has an skin alergy in burn areas. please advice me how can i solve these problems. ## With the burns and that skin still healing, I have to say that it is really far to risky to try to solve these issues on your own. Has he consulted his doctor? It is normal for the healing skin in burned areas to be more sensitive and it will sometimes react to something that the rest of someone's skin does not. They may be able to provide him with something else he can use to alleviate the symptoms or they may need to switch him to a different medication. I am 74 years old. I am using Sin trom about 2 years, after implementation of the Pacemaker due to arithima absoluta. I have difficulties to maintain recomennded level of INR, between 2 and 3. During those 2 years I had tried with different dosage schedulle - changing dosage from 1 - 2 mg per day. For example: 2-2-2-1; 2-2-2-2-1; 2-1-2-1-2 etc. I have measured INR regularly at home with CoaguChek Roshe apparatus, or in professional labs, every week or more frequently depending on the oscilation of INR. Up to now I did not succseded to find proper dosage which can maintain INR in the range 2-3, nor can find reason for so unexpected oscilations in INR. Having been treated for atrial fibrillation for 10 years I am about to switch from my regime of monthly blood testing on Coumadin to Pradaxa. As you can imagine I have some trepidation at such a radical switch in treatment. Whereas I will no longer need the blood tests having them gave me some comfort in knowing the viscosity of my blood at any given time. Suddenly no longer needing them and "flying blind" is a cause of some anxiety. Does anybody have any advice or thoughts on how best to make the transition. ## My Cardo had me stop Cumadin three days then fourth day start morning dose 150mg and evening 150mg continous. There is a generic for Coumadin, called Warfarin: There is also a different medication available that works by a difference mechanism called Clopidogrel: The prices, however, will vary depending on where you are buying it and how much you are purchasing. will taking plavix and lipitor have any effect on a dui bac? ## They aren't going to change the results, per se, but they can make alcohol have more of an effect on you than normal, so you may seem more impaired than usual after just a few drinks. In addition, it can cause some of the side effects to worsen, such as dizziness, drowsiness and nausea, which may contribute to the problem, in addition, alcohol can also thin the blood, which can increase the risk of bleeding, when it is used with the Plavix. I have been taking Plavix for 3 years or more and now my insurance company says that is not on their approved list. Can I use Kavinace for sleep if I take warfarin? ## SInce the Kavinace is a natural supplement, it really hasn't been tested for interactions with prescription medications, as is done with other drugs. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist? There are some herbs and supplements, such as Vitamin K, or anything that may cause blood thinning, that should not be taken with the Warfarin and they would be able to check it more closely for you.

I have been on CymGen for about 1 month to relieve peripheral newropathy in my feet.It helped wellfor newrop.but by now the side effects are worse then the newropth. I have permanent swelling on the effected leg which has become painfull and of course weightgain.It seems that insomnia is part of it. Also during this period I have blood thinning and everytime I scratch no matter how careful I get blood blisteres on arms drug and legs. Could this bee related to the drug or is it something else. Doctor has presribed me Glimmer 2 mg tablet before breakfast & he has stopped Daonil I used to take before breakfast & before dinner. I also take two tablets of glucomet 500, one after breakfast & one after dinner. I also take 2 tablets of Glucobay 25 after lunch & 1 after dinner. Since these are also anti-diabetic tablets, do they interfere with each other. I also take other medicines like warfarin & Levera 500.

My wife experienced two missed abortions in last two years. Now she is pregnant(13 weeks). First Doctor suggested to take Hibor 2500 IU every day as soon as pregnancy is detected and taking Hibor2500(low molecular weight heparin) every day from last two months. I have been using Warfarin since Dec.'06, due to blood clot in arm,my stomach started giving problems, then I was put on Altosec. Strange thing is that I have been experiencing pain in my heel. I am trying to find the cause of the pain.When I get up in the morning I can hardly walk, due to the pain in my heels.Could this be a side effect of the drugs? Anyone out there with the same experience? I cannot take the warfarin without the Altosec, as I said because of the problem in the stomach. My stepfather died of HITT in 2010. I recently read about the huge recall in 2008. Is it possible that there is/was still contaminated lots out there? And who would I take this to other than the FDA? from what Ive read theyre not doing a very good job on their findings. ## No, it is highly unlikely that there were still contaminated lots on the market 2 years later, even if there were, you'd have to have some way to prove it. And there really is no one else to take it to, unless you are planning on filing a legal claim, which isn't likely since you aren't a direct relative.
