Hi. I have been taking warfarin for 4 months. Prior to my PE when landing home from a long flight I was very active running and swimming every day. Since the attack every muscle and many leg joints ache all the time. Is this a side effect from medication? I've been taking 5 mg Effient for approximately five years. Yesterday I was told by my cardiologist to stop taking these pills... somehow I feel nervous about this decision. After a single AFib event, I was put on Eliquis. I almost immediately developed severe shoulder pain in both shoulders, so doctor changed to Xarelto. Same problem. I am not currently taking a blood thinner, only a daily aspirin, because of the side effects. One shoulder returned to normal, but the other one continues to hurt. Had never had any problem with shoulder pain before taking these medications. ## Is Aspirin the only medication you are currently taking? The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and headache. ## Yes, the only blood thinner. Take a baby aspirin.

I was prescribed Eliquis because of AFIB. I work 12 hour shifts, mostly sitting at a computer, and have to urinate often. I'm also gaining weight and my ankles are swelling. But the worst part is I can't get a good nights sleep because I wake up 2-3 times to urinate. I feel exhausted. Is this caused by the AFIB or the Eliquis? ## That can happen as side effect of many medications, according to FDA reports, however, there is also a chance that you have a urinary tract infection, which is another known side effect. What time of the day should clopiwin 75 mg be taken or administered? Morning or evening? ## Clopiwin contains the active ingredient Clopidogrel, which is a prescription drug marketed for use in treating/preventing various heart problems or stroke. Due to the sensitive nature of its inherent use-case, I would think it's imperative that you discuss dosing and administration with your prescribing doctor. General dosing guidelines suggest taking 75mg once daily with or without food. However, they do not mention what time of day you should take it.

I took Eliquis for 6 days, during those six days the side effects were unbearable to the point I thought I surely would die....I talked to my Dr. told her I was going off the medication she wanted me to keep on it or switch to Zeroltto..I could not bare the thought of another blood thinning medication, I went off, she said I could stop all at once. My mother started on Xaralto on May 10th. She was hospitalized for blood clots. She has since been in the hospital two times in a week for severe anxiety...over the top. She stays very nauseous now too. I have asked the doctors to put her on Coumadin to see if this relieves these issues. She is ready to die because of these issues. ## Hello, BB! I am very sorry about what your mother has been going through. Yes, the FDA does warn that Xarelto has been known to cause severe anxiety in some people that take it, along with other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising. What did they say about putting her on Coumadin? Is she on any other medications?

I have started Eliquis for the second time (gave up on first try after 4 days). I'm now on day 4 and continuing to feel the same strange symptoms: dizzy, spacey (mind-wise) and last night was wide awake because of them. I've stopped taking xarelto and my heart medication (it's been twenty days). I never told my doctor and I don't plan on taking them ever. I'm still here, I've got no side effects, I'm 56 yrs old and I'm 350 lbs obese. I was put on them because my heart rate went to 233 beats a minute, an yes, I had artireal heart rythm. I had two Heparin shots in the rt and lt side of my stomach while in the hospital ER for what was thought to be a heart attach. it was not. My question is that the first shot given to me on the rt side of my stomach still hurts today as much as it did a couple days after the shot. I have NO problem with the shot given on the lt side. There is slight swelling on the rt side but nothing else showing. I have taken 500mg naproxen (prescribed) and tylenol 500mg with no relief. I have been on this medicaion now for a month and have increasing aount of pain all ver my body and sleep disturbance where as I have never had a problem with pains or sleeping t all. I was prescribed this tablet for blood thinning, after taking just one tablet, I had the most dreadful side affects.The worst has been itching, even after having stopped the tablet a week ago, I had very bad nausea for 3 days, shocking water retention in feet & ankles, even 3, 40 grams furemuside a day didn't fix it. That has resolved itself, headache, constipation, I never have that. Four months ago, I was found to have pulmonary embolisms in all segmental and subsegmental lobes of my right lung and my upper left lung. There was no known cause; all ultrasounds were negative as was all blood work associated with PE. My EKG was normal. My blood pressure is 120/70. I have been taking Eliquis since. I’ve been on 20mg once a day for year and a half. I feel tired all the time, my whole body hurts, I have indigestion off and on, I have itching under my arms. I have muscle spasms and joint pain and the only thing I take is Tylenol which really does not do A lot for me. I was on warfarin before and I really didn’t notice any side effects. I have been taking Eliquis for 1 1/2 Months and I think I am allergic to it. Everything was okay until this week.
