I had been taking 10 mg Losartan for several years. Checked my blood pressure yesterday and it was at 180/80. So I took one 5mg Coveram yesterday, and today my blood pressure is 117/77. No side effects whatsoever. Coveram 5mg worked immediately. ## It really varies from person to person, different medications work better for different people, since everyone is different. The NIH lists the typical ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing, now?

My mother is 72 years of age and has been taking Repace 50mg in the morning and one at night for the past 10 years... Is it ok....like as far as side effects are concerned?..... Can she safely stop taking her nightly dose? ## She should take the medication as prescribed by her doctor. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. If she is taking it for high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, those conditions can be far more dangerous, if left uncontrolled, than the risk of taking the medications. Is she on any other medications?

I have Post Partem anxiety and have been going to Minnie Jones for several months to see Dr.Ambrose in an attempt to avoid medications. It's not working. The last time I was on any medication that worked for me it was a coupling of Clonidine (Kapvay) and Diazepam as PRN for anxiety attacks. To make a long story short, I was able to completely stop needing medications for a long time. The program that I was in which originally prescribed these medications was shut down for abuse several years ago, and all of their records were destroyed in an "accidental" fire. They continued to prescribe my meds long distance for years before this happened. What I am saying is, I need a doctor who is willing to go with my suggestions as this is my body, but also who will not push me to try new

I am a diabetic patient (type two). Due to essential hypertension around 150/92, my Dr prescribed telmisartan 20. My pulse rates elevated to 114 and 88 in the morning. I was feeling fatigued, mental confusion, blurred vision within 4 weeks of medication. I was changed over to Nebi 2.5 and dramatically my bp has come down to 110/70 average with pulse around 70-78 per minute. Since I am diabetic and also taking glimperide 2 in the morning and fenofibrate 145 at evening with metformin 500 at night, will Nebi 2.5 worsen my blood sugar control, which is just now around 110-125 on fasting? Will nebivolol will be suitable for long term therapy to a patient like me who is a patient of type two diabetes for 15 years? My high BP has been diagnosed recently, just two months back. Due to severe hig...

The druggist changed the color of my metoprolol from a blue round pill to a white oval pill and the white oval one seems to have given my legs a hard time walking and my hands are very tight. I know I have arthritis but this is more than usual. Could there be any connection? I believe there is. Since I've started taking the white one I drop everything and hardly walk. Would there be some ingredient in the white pill that was not in the blue pill? ## The inactive ingredients can differ from one generic to another. What are the markings on the white pill that you've received? I'm sorry, but I need this additional information in order to research more details for you. I am taking 50mg because I am diabetic. Dr told me that it is recommended for diabetics. I have always had low be, 113/63 is normal for me. But I often have dizziness and have even had therapy to adjust the crystals in the ear which helped. One dr wanted me to stop them another says no. What is a pt supposed to do? Still should they be a pm thing to offset the dizzied? ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Yes, it you aren't taking it for high blood pressure, or a heart condition, it should be fine to take them whenever it is most convenient for you. It's the first time I've done this. The doctor's office said to just watch for side effects. Should I be concerned? ## Generally, taking a double dose just once isn't considered harmful, but you may experience more side effects than usual, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and shallow breathing. If any of them become severe, you should seek emergency medical attention. How are you feeling? Did you experience any problems?

Been taking 10-12 mg.Lisinopril/Hydro for 2 yrs. My mom just passed away with ARDS and I believe it was caused by her taking Lisinopril. It just scared me so much, that I told my doctor I didn't want to take it anymore. I am also on 25 mg. Metoprolol. My doctor told me to just stop it and visit him in two weeks. So far I feel okay but still have a dry cough now and then and feel like I am fighting a head cold. Does this sound par for the course on this med.? ## Has there been any change? Yes, those can be normal side effects and withdrawal effects of Lisinopril, but things should improve in a few weeks as your body adjusts, according to FDA reports.
