I started out on 40mgs Verapamil SA for High Blood Pressure and PSVT...It was not enough, increased to 120mgs ER once pr day...That worked longer.. But had to go up to Verapamil 240mgs. That was the magic dose...Did really well on that dose. Awhile back, I noted my PSVT seemed to be acting up more often and my BP raised up.....I just noticed on my Rx bottle that the V.A. Pharmacy started sending me the right dose. But, it was Verapamil 240mg SA (Instead of my usual 240mgs ER.)...Dr. didn't order the change. But, I have noticed I don't do as well on one 240mg SA as I do on the 240mgs ER.....(Beginning to wonder is SA is "short Acting?)....Again Dr. didn't order the change....Obviously, the ER is better for me. ## No, the SA actually stands for sustained action, so both it...

what is the shelf life for Metoprolol ER 100mg ## Hello, Based on my research, U.S. prescription medications are required to have a mandatory expiration date of 1 year from the date the prescription is filled. After a year is up, the medication should still be safe but it will start to lose its potency and can no longer be as effective. However, there are some medications that can become dangerous after they expire. That being said, it's best to not take any medication after its expiration date. The medication might have a label that explains how/where it should be stored, but if not, I would ask the pharmacist. It's usually best to keep medications in a cool dark place. I hope this info helps! ## That's a STUPID answer - "However, there are some medications that can bec...
