Started using Prexum approx. 6 months ago...have not had a day without a severe headache (migraine). Dr says it's not the Prexum. Especially when coughing..feels like head wants to explode! Also have muscular spasms when coughing....has anyone had similar experience? ## Prexum contains the active ingredient Peridopril, this is an Ace Inhibitor, commonly used to treat high blood pressure and coronary artery diseases. That said, YES, headaches are actually a very common side effect of this class of medications, along with nausea, drowsiness and dizziness. Read more: You'll see that in the side effects section, headache is prominently listed! Has your doctor run any other tests? ## Hi,I have the same complaint and to top it off I have lost my sense of taste and smell. The headache i...

Need an alternative to this drug and mostly a natural alternative. Feel extremely spent when at work with lifting and long walks. ## Hello, Skip! How are you? This medication can be used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac conditions and a viable alternative, if any, depends on what condition is being treated. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! The FDA does report fatigue as being a possible side effect of this medication, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, hypotension and increased urination. How long have you been taking it? Side effects, such as this, are typically transient and go away, with time, once your body adjusts to the medication. ## I have been taking 50mg twice daily for couple years now which is why I'm confused with side effects I'...

Since I became allergic to lisinopril, I've been taking 1 losartan hydrochlorothiazide 100-12.5 daily for 2 yrs. for blood pressure. When in FL for the winter, the pill was a different size, assume mfg. by different company, and ankles didn't hurt. In NY, I get the same drug, a bit different sized, and now my ankles ache and perhaps a very small swelling on outside ankle bone. Is it possible that the NY pills cause this while the FL pills don't? ## Since I became allergic to lisinopril, I've been taking 1 losartan hydrochlorothiazide 100-12.5 daily for 2 yrs. for blood pressure. My grandpa is 77 years old and he accidentally took 2 tablets of Atenolol 50mg at a time. Will any serious injury occur in regards to his health? Please advise. ## Doubling up hasbeen known to cause someone to experience more severe side effects, according NIH reports, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Given his age, that could also make them worse. Thus, it would be best to consult his doctor to be safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Not sure if I accidentally took a double dose of atenolol or not, which would be 75mg with the mistake, instead of 37.50 mg normally. Will I be alright if I had taken a double dose? ## I accidentally took a 100 mg dose of atenolol instead of 1/2 pill about 1 hour ago. I take it for tachycardia...

witch is the better tablet Prexum or Pharmapress ## witch is the better tablet Prexum or Pharmapress ## Although both of these medications are used to treat Hypertension, no one can really honestly tell you how either of these drug are going to effect you, as they are not you. Not even "you" know how it's going to effect you until you take it, so how could someone else? I know that response is bit naive, but medications can affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others that it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take. So telling someone that one is better than the other is simply based on opinions and not facts. Unfortunately when it comes to prescription drugs, the only to find out the facts is to try it fo...

How long does it take for a low dose of lisinopril to start lowering blood pressure? ## According to drug information from Gold Standard Inc. 2011, Lisinopril starts working within an hour of taking it by mouth. The peak effect occurs at 6 hours after taking the pill. Other patients state that it should make a difference to your blood pressure in about 2 days time, based on their personal experience. Although I'm sure it may be somewhat different for everyone. I hope this helps to answer your question! ## I was told by an ER Doc and a my blood doctor that I could take lisinopril on an as needed basis have you ever known of this. E20 on one side, white oblong pill shipped from India ## With the description provided I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the drug databases. I'm assuming that this is because the pill is manufactured in India, where as they do not regulate their drugs the same way the FDA does here in the U.S.; so finding information on it is very difficult unless you're based in India. Did you order this online not knowing what it was? Maybe you can contact the company that you ordered it from for a confirmation of your order. Aside from double checking to make sure you typed the correct marking, the next best option I can recommend is taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and ask them about testing for the pills ingredients; and whether or not it's something they ar...

I am taking Losartan 50 mgs twice a day and I am getting terrible joint & muscle pain. Can it be from the meds? Orrrrrrr could it be from the simvistatin? ## Have you talked to your doctor about this? The first guess as to the culprit would probably be the Simvastatin, these statin medications are very well known to cause these types of side effects in some people that use them. This means it may not be the right medication for you to use and you may need to switch to something else. The Losartan can also cause these types of side effects, but it isn't known to do so as frequently as the Simvastatin. ## How many different medications are you taking with the Losartan? Based on information I've gathered, I'm thinking that Losartan is the primary cause of your joint and mus...

My renewed generic prescription Lisinopril/hydrochlorothiazide 10-12.5 is now coming from a different manufacturer (pharmacist verified) than my original (pinkish pill) from Aurobindo. The new blue pill, manufactured by Westward, is not the same in effects. Does anyone know what pharmacies (Target and Walmart don't carry it) carry the same medication but manufactured by Aurobindo? Thank you ## Maybe my question should be when generic prescriptions switch manufacturers, are the ingredients EXACTLY the same? If so, why is a medication I have taken successfully for 4 years with no side effects suddenly begin to make me ffell lethargic and starting hair loss within 3 weeks of starting the same "everything" but from a different manufacturer? I have a girl here that is white round 210 on one side and on the other side okay and you could you help me please ## I have a pill that I forgot what it is and used for. The number is 210 .it is a big white pill. Looks like an ibeprophen. ## Amlodipine.. it's your high blood pressure medication ## Hello Kim, I am a little confused on what you mean by "210 on one side and on the other side okay". Does that mean that both sides of the pill have the imprint 210 or does your pill actually have the imprint "okay" on one side. Assuming it's the prior, I believe that Leon is correct in saying that what you have is an amlodipine which is medication for high blood pressure. I will provide some additional information on this pill. NDC: 67877-198 Imprint: 210 Label Author:...

white round says myland 157 ## Is it 152 or 157? If it is 152 then it is something clonopine (generic for Catapres-R). It is used to treat high blood pressure. ## I'm sorry..my mistake. It is CLONODINE not CLONOPINE. ## That is correct, it is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and distributed by UDL Laboratories. NDC code: 51079-0299, it contains 0.1mg. It is commonly used to treat high blood pressure, ADHD, and other disorders as deemed appropriate by a doctor. Hi. I have been on 4 mg of Candesartan for 2 weeks. I had to stop Amlopidine because of shortness of breath. I have had palpitations and now look like I am 6 months pregnant and feel bloated. Is this normal? ## Hello, Nandy! How are you? Those are side effects that you should speak to your doctor about, you may be retaining too much fluid, which this medication can cause according to NIH reports, and it could be dangerous if left uncontrolled. You may need to try a different medication. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and hypotension. Are you urinating the same as usual, or do you find yourself going less? Are you on any other medications?

Can a losartan 25 mg tab be cut in half? It makes me have blurred vision. ## Yes, but you should only do so, if your doctor approves of your taking a lower dosage. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How long have you been taking it? Are you on any other medications? ## I take losartan 25 mg and sometime I get real dizzy and have blurred vision is there a smaller dose ## Do not cut in half if it's an extended/ slow release coated pill. If it has a groove on it it might be ok. Your safest bet is to contact a pharmacy. ## I month 25 mg. and I wake up in the morning and my back hurts so bad. I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT BENADRYL, TYLENOL INTERACTIONS WITH MICARDIS. ANYONE HAS EVER HAD SUCH, OR ANY OTHER MEDS. ## if a person is on micardis plus BP medicine can they use Tylenol for headaces and colds ## The only notable warning I found is a possible interaction between the Telmisartan in the Micardis, and the Diphenhydramine in the Benadryl, the FDA does warn that the combination could cause more drowsiness than usual, as well as lowered heart rate, and lowered blood pressure, so you should be aware to watch for any warning signs, such as severe dizziness, or drowsiness. I don't take Micardis, but I do take a similar medication, Losartan, and Benadryl and Tylenol are among the few medications my doctor has approved of me taking. Is there anything else I can help with?
