Round blue pill w/C75 imprint. Supposed to be metroprolol from India according to label on bottle @ Walmart. Ckg on computer it says is amlopidine. Not real confident on this. I have always taken white round with numbers & when computer shows different name altogether very questionable. ## C75 is Amlodipine 5mg and Olmesartan 40 mg, which is used to treat high blood pressure. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you go. ## I have the exact same situation as the original poster. A call to WalMart pharmacy said that IF they changed suppliers, the medicine COULD look different but did not commit to the blue pill with C75 being what was perscribed. I'm wondering how to find out for sure. Any suggestions? ## It is being reported that the light blu...

Information on Amlod/Benaze 5/20mg ## My Dr subscribed this istead of Lotril....is there a big differance? I seem to be tired ALL the time ## This is just the generic version, however there can be differences, so if you are having a problem, you might want to ask your doctor to prescribe the name brand and mark brand medically necessary on the prescription. ## Has anyone taking amlod/benazp experienced heart palpitation? ## I haven't been able to sleep ever since I started taking this medication. I was on Lisinopril before and didn't have any problems, but after about 1 yr, it stopped working.

Picked up prescription at pharmacy with these numbers on blue round pill. Is supposed to be metoprolol but any info I find on computer says amlopidine. ## C75 is Amlodipine 5 mg and Olmesartan 40 mg, which is used to treat high blood pressure. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## It is also being reported that the light blue pill with C 75 is Meoprolol. There's been a lot of confusion lately with manufacturers discontinuing certain products, releasing new versions, etc. So if anybody knows the specific manufacturer of this pill it would be easier to verify it with them.

I need help identifying the Mexican pill thoratoz (atenolol 50 mg). I bought my mom's blood pressure medicine in Mexico and it looks so different from US that she's afraid to take it. Can anyone help please? ## Finding specific details about the pill's appearance has been a challenge. The manufacturer's web site does have a page on Thoratoz 50 mg, but unfortunately the image is not loading. The page is located at: Can you post back with a description of the pill, including shape, color(s), and any markings on the pill? ## It is a round shaped thick white pill with no markings. ## Darn, if only that picture would load on the manufactuer's site! Without any markings it is pretty much impossible to make a definite ID, not to mention that meds from outside the USA are no...

I have been taking one Metoprolol XL 50MG (listed as a substitute for Toprol XL 50 MG TAB) tablet once a day. My doctor tells me it is now unavailable and he must prescribe an alternative. So I just received my new prescription that reads Metoprolol 50 MG TAB (substituted for Lopressor 50MG TABLET). My instructions are to take one tablet twice daily. Isn't this twice the dose I was taking? ## What you need to do is cut your 50 mg tabs in half and take 25 mg twice a day, or you will be getting double the dosage which could be very dangerouse. The Metoprolol ER 50 mg is an extended release tablet which basically gives you 25 mg early on and 25 mg later in the day. ## Actually it DOES NOT release half earlier in the day and half later, that is NOT how they work, the medication is slowl...

Was just wondering how can I keep from getting sick to my stomach all the time when I take my meds. ## You might try packing your med's in food, eat a little, take pill, eat again, take pill etc.. I take Lisinopril at bedtime, along with couple other med's, and have no problem but I usually eat a little bit with it. You may be taking too many at once, divide them up. Chk with your Dr or Pharm. to get the best advice . Hope this helps. ## I have always had the same problem, and food is definitely the key- taking pain medications+empty stomach = ulcer. I've also found that if I take an Acid Reducer (Zantac, Prevacid, etc.) or at least a Rolaids or two with an energy/granola bar it helps tremendously. ## You can also ask your doctor, they can help by possibly prescribing an antina...

Has anyone expreienced being taken off Plavix and prescribed Lisinopril. Did the Doctor explain why the change. Can't seem to get an answer in this regard. ## lisinopril and plavix are two very different meds. plavix is a platelet inhibiter, not a bp med. The dr. took you off plavix because you no longer needed it. I do not know you history so it is hard to know why. By the way I am an R.N. ## Yes, should just keep asking your doc, until he answers, no reason for that.

Drug for cholesterol ## Do you mean Amlodipine? If so, it's a long-acting calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) used as an anti-hypertensive and in the treatment of angina. Like other calcium channel blockers, amlodipine acts by relaxing the smooth muscle in the arterial wall, decreasing peripheral resistance and hence reducing blood pressure; in angina it increases blood flow to the heart muscle.
