I have a very bad case of dry mouth. I think it is the lisinopril that is causing it. It is the only common denominator. I started having this issue in March. I have researched dry mouth over and over again, and the only factor that includes me is a side effect from the medicine. No other cause of dry mouth affects me. I am diabetic, but my numbers are always good. So I have a few questions: 1. Are there any cases of dry mouth caused by lisinopril? 2. Can someone be taking a medicine like lisinopril for a while (two years) before the effects show up? 3. If I go off the lisinopril, how long until the dry mouth goes away? 4. If I go off the lisinopril is there an alternate hypertension medicine that will work? Thank you for your time. ## Hello Rob, According to the NIH dry mouth is listed...

I was put on metoprolol about 3 weeks ago for hypertension and an ascending aortic aneurysm. I also have PVCs. I take 25 MG every 12 hours. My BP is better but not great. Some readings are normal and most are high (130/90-5 range) I have noticed more heart palpitations since taking it instead of less. I am having intermittent episodes of chest tightness and breathing being more labored. Also have a cough. Feels like a mild asthma attack. In the past, I would get exertional asthma with heavy exercise or laughing. My sleep is worse for waking up with a cough, palpitations, anxiety, or chest heaviness. I also have been hoarse and have a tickle in the back of my throat (postnasal drip?) Are these typical side effects? Do they warrant a reduction in my dosage? I see my cardiologist on Monday...

I am on blood pressure medication (Losartan) and I want to take a Tylenol for a headache. Can I take it? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Losartan and Tylenol (Acetaminophen). Sotalol is indicated for use in treating heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias). While they're both used for treating cardiovascular related abnormalities, t...
