Do I still need to take my losartan now that I am on diltiazem and digoxin for Afib? ## What has your doctor advised? What have your blood pressure readings been? How's the a-fib? The Losartan is an ARB and the Doltiazem is a calcium channel blocker and while they both treat the same types of conditions, they are often used together to help enable better control of them. Thus, one shouldn't be stopped, without your doctor's approval and supervision. Are there any other questions or comments?

Why is headache a side effect of Coveram10? Does it go away in time if I keep taking Coveram? ## Coveram contains the active ingredients Perindopril and Amlodipine. And the very mechanism of action of these medications means they can cause headaches in some people, because they generally dilate the blood vessels to improve blood flow. And yes, such side effects should wear off in about 4 to 6 weeks, after your body adjusts to the medications. Have you spoken to your doctor about it?

can fenac ec 50mg tablets be taken in conjunction with coveram blood pressure tablets? ## What has your doctor advised? The Coveram contains Amlodipine and Perindopril and the Perindopril can cause some interactions with the Diclofenac, such as making it more potent, so your blood pressure drops lower and it can increase the risk of nephrotoxicity.

Would the above drug cause body itch? ## Yes, there are actually 2 ways that Losartan can cause this type of issue. The first would be if you happen to be allergic to it and the second would be as a side effect due to its nature of action in the body, its effect on blood vessels and circulation can cause this. Have you consulted your doctor?

What are the side effects? will I loose erection? ## Well, there's really no way to say whether you will or will not experience such problems, you really have to try a medication and see how it affects you, but yes, erectile dysfunction is a possibility with most blood pressure/cardiac medications. I was taking Losartan / HCT tab 100-12.5 for high blood pressure. I asked for a refill and was sent Losartan tab 100mg. What is the difference? No HCT AND 12.5? Is it OK that I take this? Thank you for your help. Tom ## You still need to take it, unless your doctor instructs you not to, because stopping these types of medications abruptly can result in a dangerous rebound effect that can include severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate. However, you do need to contact your doctor and the pharmacy, because if they provided you one with the 12.5mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide, then they gave you the wrong medication. Have you contacted the pharmacy, yet?

I have just noticed my hair is thinning on the top of my head.I use to have very thick hair. I already had my thyroid removed and take synthroid for years. What other drug can I take instead of toprol 50mg Xl ## Have you consulted your doctor? Toprol contains the active ingredient Metoprolol and since it has been proven effective, with a low risk of side effects in many people, it is often the first choice treatment medication for high blood pressure and heart conditions. However, some people like yourself do have problems with it. I experienced bad side effects, as well and what I was switched to was Carvedilol, because it is known to cause far fewer side effects. Thus, you might want to ask your doctor about trying it.

routinely take 20 mg Lisonipril twice daily for B.P. probs. Today feeling very washed out and weak. Could this symptom be problem of the med? I've been on this med and this dosage for a long time. I probably shouldd have taken my BP , but failed to. Any thoughts? ## works good ## How long have you been taking it? There are two possibilities, the first is that it could be a side effect of the Lisinopril, since it can cause such things and the second could be the your blood pressure may be going too low from taking it. You may want to make sure you are checking your blood pressure on a regular basis and you should also contact your doctor.
