All are giving me side effects of depression, loss of energy, trouble concentrating, joint pain, swelling, weight gain. Anyone here know of a Blood Pressure Medication with few side effects? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I understand what you're going through. I rant the gamut of them myself, it took about a year to finally find ones that worked for me, without making me totally miserable. Thus, the ones I suggest you speak to your doctor about are Atacand and Labetalol, with the latter being known to cause the least side effects. You may still experience some, short-term, such as nausea, dizziness and headache, but they usually wear off after a few weeks, as your body gets used to the medication. Is there anything else I can help...
Do you still make verapamil 240mg 12 hour? I have been taking this dosage for years. What would I expect if I start taking the 24 hour tablet? Called 2 pharmacies and they do not carry the 12 hour dose. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacture any medications, it is an information only resource. There really shouldn't be a lot of changes switching from one to the other, except for only taking one pill daily, rather than two. Has your doctor okayed the switch? Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, cough and hypotension.

So one day I became sick and tired of the cycle of addiction. I went on methadone for awhile then suboxone. I've been on sub...
Just trying to find out what this drug is since the other two I put in is also a blood pressure. That will make me taking 3 blood pressure at one time. ## Hello, Jeanette! How are you? This is Bisoprolol with Hydrochlorothiazide and yes, it is used to help treat high blood pressure. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, increase urination and dehydration. It is common to prescribe multiple blood pressure medications, if someone's blood pressure is resistant to others. As long as they are all in different medication classes, there is usually no problem and one or more can be removed later, after your blood pressure levels improve. How high has your blood pressure been?
Can someone be out in the sun for long periods of time on clonodine 0.1 milligrams twice a day? ## Hello, Andrea! How are you? It may make you more sensitive to the sun and heat than you normally are, so if you do intend to be out in the sun, you should make sure to wear a good sun block and drink plenty of water. Other side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness and nausea. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took 2 doses of all my meds by mistake. I am on 25 mg atenolol ,40 mg lisinopril, 10mg amlodipine besylate, 75 mg sertaline. And 1 81mg aspirin, I am a 75 yr old man. Should I be very concerned ## Hello, Jim! How are you feeling? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Doubling up on the blood pressure/cardiac medications could result in dangerously lowered blood pressure and heart rate, which may require medical attention, especially at your age, since it could cause you to be more sensitive to the effects of medications. For future reference for anyone, if you've done something like this and fear for your health or life, please seek medical attention or contact poison control immediately. While there are those of us online that are always happy to help, if we can, we are unable to a...
My mother has been taking metoprolol tartrate for 2 years. Six to eight weeks ago she started experiencing hallucinations(seeing things that are not real,) at night after taking the pill. She called her doctor but the doctor told her to break the pill in half, which is going from 50 to 25 mgs. I am afraid she will have an episode while driving. Is there another medication equilvalent to what she is taking. Should the doctor have taken her off of the medicine. ## Hello, Barbara! How is your mother doing? Hallucinating is not a typical side effect of this medication and has only been reported in a few rare cases where someone was taking the extended release formulation. There are other medication options, such as Labetalol, which is known to cause far fewer side effects. Has she contacted...
I am looking for an over the counter that is equivalent to to the kor-con m10 er tablets ## Hello, Tracey! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is nothing available over the counter that is equivalent. The over the counter Potassium supplements are just fractions of this, so you'd have to spend just as much many to take a lot of them. How low is your potassium level? You may be able to up it by combining over the counter supplements with high potassium foods, such as bananas. Have you consulted your doctor for ideas? ## Thanks....I was just wondering. Went to doc fri....she uped my lisinopril from 10 to 20 mg and asked me if I took at night.....I always take at 425 every morn before work. Now she wants me to take it before bed. She said people usually take it before bed. why?
Have burning skin, stomach swelling/ bloating from taking 20mg linisopril blood presure pills have stoped taking them how long will these effects last will they go away ## Hello, James! How are you? Those effects are not usually caused by Lisinopril. How long were you taking it? Have you had this checked out? What other medication are you taking for your blood pressure? It is very important that you get it under control, not doing so leaves you at risk of heart attack, stroke or congestive heart failure.
My pulse rate is 60 at night I am afraid it is going to drop too low. Is this possible ? Is 60 too low ? My BP is is still normal high I take lisinapril 10 mg and I take a half of metoprolol 25 mg so wondering info should worry about my pulse being low ## My Pulse has been as low as 41 during the day and I assume even lower at night. Cardio didn't really care. ## Hello, Kari! How are you doing? 60 is still considered normal and generally, your pulse will go lower at night, due to the fact that you are resting and not being as active. You should double check with your doctor, but usually, if you aren't having any symptoms, such as dizziness and shortness of breath, it is nothing to worry about. Rod, what were the circumstances? Those details have to be taken under consideration.

ce médicament est -il compatible avec le Captoprile? ## French to English Translation of question: Is Zerodol compatible with Captopril? To answer your question, there are no drug interactions listed between these two medications. So in that respect they should be considered safe to take together. However, I'd still recommend discussing this with your doctor first if he didn't prescribe you either one or the other. I hope this helps!
Is anyone else experiencing the following side effects? I am 54 years old and went on 5 m of Bystolic approx 4 months ago. I have put on ten pound (rare for me) have chronic heartburn, morning nausea, my liver enzymes are above normal now, night sweats and tiredness ...the nightmares have subsided....I am at wits end....my blood pressure is borderline ....do I really need this drug or is there a better one out there? ## Hi Bridget, sorry to hear about what you're going through. The chronic heartburn and nausea sound like some of the common side effects for this medication. The weight gain, however, is considered more serious so I'd recommend alerting your doctor of this ASAP because your treatment may need to be changed. Hope this helps and best wishes with all this!!
I had a shot of speed on Friday and Saturday night and I go to parole on Wednesday will this show up in my system in a urine drug test on that day? If so how can I get it out of my system by then? I'm also on medication 100mg of Qietiapine, 15mg of Duromine and 5mg of Ramipril, will any of these medications affect my drug urine test ? And if so what will they read in my system as?
Updated in RamiprilI am currently on subutex 2mg daily and want to withdraw, using Arkamin /clonodine /100mg TABS/?can you tell me what sort of reduction I should do?what dose of subutex would you suggest I get down too?I only have experience of using brand 0.1mg clonodine, So can you suggest what kind of daily doses in mg (100)/Arkamin/clonodine :I should be using during the withdrawal period to best alleviate the hypertension/raised blood pressure that I wish to avoid? In the past the detox has been done over approx 10 days starting at 2mg /increasing to a max of 2.4mg/ and then reducing to avoid rebound withdrawal symptoms to nothing over the last 3/4 days. However, as these are generic and 100mg/ I don't know what doses to use as an equivalent ?. I am sure I must be taking medications which may be technically not compatible with one another. Please advise what to avoid or replace. My medication: Morning = Thyronorm + Glucomet + Pentadac + Shellcal SD After breakfast = Providac + Refagut , Minipress, Lapresar + Cardac After Little gap = Joindic Super + Glugen + Tydol Evening Before food = Pentadac After food = Refagut + Providac Followed by Minipress, Leprasar + Cardac Followed by Atorvastatin before Sleep = Sulpatec + Nexito plus.
Updated in MinipressI am a 48-year-man in reasonable good health but have marginal high BP, suffering from mild anxiety including lack of sleep at times. I have been prescribed Asomex 5 mg for my BP once a day over the next two months by my doctor. How effective is Asomex over a longer term to control BP and what are well-known side effects.
UpdatedI was given repace and ascarid which I took for about 25 days after which I realized I was itching alot and my body was developing severe rashes. I stopped taking the medicine and saw a doctor after 2 days. By then my pressure had started shooting up. The doctor gave me norvasc and ebastel for my itching. The itch did not stop so I went back to the doc who gave me prednisone for five days. The itch is still there and everytime I scratch, my skin turns red, sore and since the prednisone, it swells from the inside. I have scratched until my skin has opened up. What could be causing this and how can I solve this as the itch is too much? I am thinking of going back to the doctor.
Updated in NorvascHI. I am Brazilian, I'm 70, 79 kilos, my blood tests are good, not practical exercises regularly, but I have a fairly busy life physically here on my farm. Although all of this, I suffer from high blood pressure since I was 25 years old. My blood pressure often is between 155 up to 184 x 103 x92. My doctor referred me CONCOR 5mg + 40mg Benicar HCT + amlodipine 5mg, but these medications do not control my blood pressure. During the day my BP ranges from 154 x 94 coming down till 106 x 61 after a very buzy day and greater work effort. Especially at night, my BP goes up drastically, reaching up to 185 x 103 so I have to take Captopril 25mg and repeat the dose after 40 minutes if not reduce BP. In sometimes used Isordil sub-tong (my BP falls rapidly to 120 x 7 and continues for some time),
Updated in BenicarI started on Cozzar at the end of April 2012 since my ins would not pay for Benicar. I was told by the doctor yesterday July 12, 2012 after my anual A1C for diabetes that I now have kidney disease. Prior to taking Cozzar there were no issues after blood tests regarding my kidneys and high creatinine levels. Could the Cozzar possibly have created these high levels???? ## What type of kidney disease is your doctor referring to? Just one test with odd kidney levels would not diagnose kidney disease, it actually takes 3 of them being low, for 3 months in a row to diagnose kidney disease or kidney failure. And yes, the Losartan in Cozaar can cause decreased kidney function, but it is usually reversible, just by stopping it and switching to a different medication. Learn more Losartan details ...
