I am an active college student, who works and I am under a lot of stress. I also take Loestrin 24 and woman's one a day vitamins. I started vomiting about two weeks ago right after eating pizza and couldn't keep anything down. A week later, after multiple hours after eating a slice of pizza I got sick again, right after taking my pill and a woman's one a day vitamin. I am not sure if I threw up the pill, but I continued to take my pill regularly. Yesterday I had pizza, and felt fine, but I forgot to take my pill last night so I took it this morning along with the vitamin and about 10 minutes later I threw up. Hi, i was wondering do you suppose to take the last 4 brown pills or skip them and start the next pack with the white pills.. no other concerns with this birthcontrol been on this for a 2 years. ## I never take the brown pills. They're just sugar pills. I wait until Sunday to start the new pack. I've been taking this birth control for two years. It doesn't hurt you if you don't take them. ## That is correct, there is no harm in skipping the placebo pills, as long as you remember to start the new pack on the appropriate day. I have been taking the Lo Loestrin Fe pill for 7 months and became pregnant! Never again will I take these pills! ## Did you miss any pills, or take them late? Were you on antibiotics at any time while taking them? If not and you still got pregnant, this should be reported to the FDA by calling 888-INFO-FDA.

I take it every night at 1 am, because that is when i am usually home and awake. is this ok? i dont know if there are better/worse times to take it, or if it doesnt really matter? ## According to my doctor, anytime of day is perfectly safe and effective. The important thing is to use the SAME time every day. As he put it, on birth control you pick a time that works for you and then that is YOUR TIME! ## I was on my second week of pills and I missed on Sunday. I doubled on Monday. I take my pill around 7-8 pm every day. On Tuesday of same week I had unprotected sex before I took my pill. What are the chances I could get pregnant?

As I am almost 40yrs old and I would like to know how safe is it to be on the oral pills and to be off the pills so I can safely be able to be pregnant? Thank you for your help! ## The pills don't stay active in your system for very long, which is why you can get pregnant even just by missing one tablet. However, because they do adjust the hormonal balance in your body, in most cases, it is recommended that you be off of them for about 3 months, before trying to get pregnant, so your body had a chance to re-regulate the hormones on its own. I am on sprintec for quite a while now. my drug store is out of stock from it and i'll be 2 days late starting my new pack. do I have greater chances in becoming pregnant if I'm to have sex in 5 days? ## Yes, that would increase your pregnancy risk. Hi doc, my age is 24, due to my pcod problem my gynocologist prescribed me dronis 20. I take that medicine from last 7 month. my gyne adviced me to take that medicine for more 2 year. Is it really safe?? ## This is an oral contraceptive and, unless you smoke, or have some other health condition that precludes it, you should be able to safely take it. Many women take them for 10, 15 or more years, with no problems. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?

I've been on Sprintec 28 for about 6 months. My period isn't for another week and I've been spotting the past couple of days. I've never missed a pill or skipped a period. Is this normal? ## Yes, it is a hormonal based contraceptive, so it is always possible for it to cause such a side effect, even if it has never done so before. If you've been ill, or under a lot of stress recently, that can also contribute to the problem. Have you consulted your doctor about it? ## Well it stopped and the next periods were normal. Hi, I have been on this pill for a year now. I normally take my pills every morning at 8:00. I am on the third week of taking my pill and forgot to take thurs, and fri pill a the same time. I had unprotected sex thur, and Friday,but I continue to take sat and sun pills correctly. I am on the last week and my period should start Sunday. No period. It has been six days now no period. I took a urine and blood test yesterday they were negative. I've been on Quasense for about 6-7 weeks. I know they say to stick it out for 2-3 months. But between the constant bleeding and cramps I don't want to be on it anymore. I don't even use it for birth control, I just didn't want my period so often. I go on vacation in 10 days, if I stopped taking it now how long might my period last? Remember I've only been on it for about 6 weeks. ## There's really no definitive way to say, it can vary from person to person and depend on your body's reaction to the hormones in it. Hi ! I'm in high school and I got put on Lo Loestrin FE last month. During my first month I never got a period just some light brown discharge for about two days. I'm now on my second week of my second month pack and last week I had some spotting. I have had protected sex with my boyfriend about 5 or 6 times in the past month but he uses a condom and pulls out so I don't think I could be pregnant! It is generally recommended that you use back-up protection for the first month or so, to prevent pregnancy. The most effective means would be condoms. I just started Beyaz a little over a week ago, knowing I was going to be expecting my period in a week. My doctor said I could start any time I like, though she recommended I start during the first 24 hours when I did start my period. Am I supposed to be worried if I don't quite start on time or is the Beyaz just effective now because it's passed the 7 days and I'll get it later on? I am at the second week of my pack and I was about to take Sundays but I dropped it and I couldn't find it. I just took the next pill bc i think they are all the same. But what should I do to fix the whole always being one pill short problem? Should I purposely skip a day and use back up or just buy a new pack early every month? I had just started Tri Sprintec for my acne. I was previously on Ortho Tri cycle lo. Once I finished my period on previous birth control I visited the doctor days later. They prescribed me the Tri sprintec and began taking it on that Sunday. My boyfriend and I are sexually active. Technically I should have started my period last week. If I get my period while still on the "active" pills do I continue to take them as normal? Is that an overdose of hormones? ## No, it is not an overdose, breakthrough bleeding is actually a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives and can occur for the first few months you are taking them. I have been on sprintec for almost three years and have been using condums for awhile,however i missed one days pill in week three.. I had sex and the condum broke, I went to take that days pill and realized that I missed the days before, I looked it up and read a column that said to take both pills and the next days pill take it as your normal route. I have been take Amocillin, its a antibotic pill but I checked to see if it would have affect with my birth control and it read no..
