I have started Lo Loestrin Fe about 2 months ago but i was taking the regular Loestrin 24 before. I have had unprotected sex, but my fiance never ejaculated in me. I have confused my pills with the days this month but i also missed my period last month and i finished my pack today but still no period. I haven't thrown up but I keep feeling sick, headaches and migraines over the past days. Is this because my body is still getting used to the pills or is their a possibility that I may be pregnant. ## If you're sexually active, there is always the possibility of pregnancy, though it is very, very low if you also take oral contraceptives and use other precautions. I've been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 4 months now. I always bled every other week so I was never afraid of missing a period because I got then all the time. However, last month I missed my period which I read is normal for this birth control. We use condoms and pull out. When I missed my period I still took the two white and two brown pills. I still have not had my period and it's been a week since I've missed and took those pills. Do the brown pills still protect from pregnancy if you did not start your period? Or are they just sugar pills and I should be worried now of maybe being pregnant because they weren't actually birth control? ## I forgot to mention that we do not always begin with a condom but by the time he finishes, we've put one on and he still pulls out. ## ...

I started my period in April, but I wasn't on the brown pill yet. and now I haven't had a period for the month of may. I have no symptoms of pregnancy. I kept holding my urine in for a while now my bladder hurts. maybe that caused my cycle not to come? idk. and I'm taking lo loestrine FE. ## Have you contacted your doctor? Why are you holding your urine in? That's never really a good idea, because it can cause various problems, such as urinary tract infections. It can be normal to skip your menstrual cycle, when you are new to taking oral contraceptives, due to your body adjusting to the hormones, but you should talk to your doctor to be certain. I started taking lo loestrin fe and I started it when I was spotting instead of my period. Now I got my period in the middle of the pack and I still have 12 active blue pills left. Should I just continue taking the pills or start a new pack? ## Have you checked with your doctor? I missed three days of the blue pills (really stressful time with a lot on my mind) I was on week two and missed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This morning (Sunday) I woke up with my period? What do I do? I'm not sure whether to just keep going or start a new pack. ## If you miss more than 2 pills, you should go ahead and start a new pack to get back on track. You will also want to use some other form of protection for about a week, since missing even one pill can increase your chances of getting pregnant. I have been taking sprintec for almost one year and I have went from size A cup size to C cup size... Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not complaining at all just wondering... Also I've always been pretty skinny and I put on 10 pounds since using Sprintec...I love it!!!! ## Yes, both can be normal side effects from hormonal contraceptives, what it really means is that your body was probably actually a little low in the female hormones and, supplementing them with the birth control, has helped to fix the problem. Mom gave me pills that she claims are a narcotic and that's why they're not in the container because she threw it away. It is birth control size and says watson on one side and just a p on the other. What is it really? Like the actual name of it. ## It's not a narcotic, those are birth control pills, they are called Necon 1/35. They contain Ethinyl estradiol and Norethindrone. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, i was taking exluton pill 10 days from my menstruation last may 16,2009 then by june 2nd week i had my menstruation again so early knowing that i just started taking the pills when i finished the first pack and open another packed again since july 16 i had stop taking the pill coz my partner is not around anymore. I have been taking Loestrin consistently for about two years, although the timing has been a bit scattered lately (usually within an hour or two every day). Last month, I did not get my period at all. This month, again I am on the second placebo pill and still no period. This has never happened before in the past two years of taking this pill. Normal? ## Yes, skipping your menstrual cycle can be a completely normal side effect of taking an oral, hormonal based contraceptive. However, if you missed any, or took them more than 24 hours late, there is always a chance that you might be pregnant, if you've been sexually active. This is my first month of taking Lo Loestrin Fe and I was wanting to skip my period at the end of the month. I heard that if you skip the reminder pills and just start the new pack then you won't have your period. So I was just wondering if the white are reminder pills too, I know the brown ones are, and I was wondering if the white ones start your period or if the brown ones do? I only have one blue pill left and can't get a new pack until the day after tomorrow because I'm out of town. ## To be honest, I am not familiar with these tablets, so I would suggest your asking a pharmacist, they should have the information available as to which pills are which and they will probably be able to help you. Does anyone else happen to know?

Ive been on sprintec fo march april. I have not missed a dose and I have taken them on time. ## These oral contraceptives definitely effect everyone differently, but I am curious to know if sprintec has been working well for you? I was just on another thread here and noticed a lady who was taking sprintec, but was very concerned because she had missed her period by a few days or longer. Same thing happened to my gf while she was on it, although I'm fairly certain that she missed a few days of taking it.

I'm also aware that this time frame varies for each individual and the type of birth control taken, but at this time I do not have any specific details on Sprintec. I missed one pill and didn't realize it until the next day when taking my other one. I took them at the same time. The next day I had unprotected sex but he pulled out. My main concern is that my period tracker said I was fertile. I took the plan b pill 2 days later. I guess my question would be how likely would it be that I were pregnant. I take my pills pretty regularly other than that day. Also, the day before my period, I had really light spotting and felt like I had to pee a lot and it hurt. I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about a year, and over the twelve months have been regularly taking it...I usually get my period on the 2nd or 3rd day of my white pills and now I'm on the fourth. I have had sex in the past month but we were using two types of birth control. (BC and condoms). My question is should I be looking at a pregnancy test? Hi, I'm on my second month of loestrin 24. Last month I had my period for 4-5 days and it was pretty light, lighter than my others used to be before I started taking birth control. I was wondering if this is normal? And also, I just started my third week of this second month ad the past few days I've had spotting or maybe bloody discharge? And cramps at some points. I was wondering if this is normal too? ## This is a hormonal based contraceptive, so yes, the symptoms you've described can be normal side effects and they can last as long as this first 3 months. I have been stressed lately but I got my period on April 23rd, and then recently for the past week have had brown discharge. Grant it, I have been stressed, and I wasn't taking my birth control pill at the same time for about 2 weeks, but I'm a bit concerned about this. Should I see a doctor or will this pass?? Also I was curious if women have their period does it affect you when you're around them?? ## You skipped taking your BC for about 2 weeks? Hi I'm changing over my pill and was going to start when my period came missed a pill few days before my period was due and then I only spotted during this time I had unpretected sex, I also haven't had my period and don't know wat pill to keep taking? Am I high tusk of being pregnant? ## Have you consulted your doctor? There is always a risk of pregnancy, if you are sexually active and that is made greater if you missed a pill. I just started Loestrin24 and I have been taking it all month. I've been bleeding lightly most days (I've taken it almost 4 weeks now). Is this normal? Also, my period is supposed to come during the time I am taking the brown pills... right? So why did it come three days before even starting the brown pills. I'm really nervous... is any of this a reason to call the doctor? ## By all means, if you have concerns, call your doctor. Found a blister pack of 2 small round pink or peach pills/ Watson on one side and 245 on the other. Any clues ## Hi Jack, Watson 245 is identified as Necon 1/50; which contains Mestranol (0.05 mg) + Norethindrone (1 mg). Necon 1/50 is primarily used in the treatment of birth control. Watson 475 is identified as Next choice; which contains Levonorgestrel (0.75 mg). Next Choice is used in the treatment of emergency contraception.
