However, sometimes I may end up taking it about 10-15 minutes late...maybe even 30 minutes late. I have never been later than 30 minutes when taking it. I am very worried about pregnancy, and my boyfriend is as well. We have sex almost everyday, and I am new to it, therefore I am constantly worried about getting pregnant. We always use the pull-out method. Am I worrying over nothing? Or, do I need to be sure I take it within a shorter time frame? ## You are worrying for nothing and can relax. The reason they tell you to take it on time is to help you get in the habit of taking it, so you don't end up forgetting altogether some days. However, you are actually still protected if you take it within the first 12 to 24 hours, so ...
I have been on Lo Loestrin since August. In the beginning, I had heavy periods which seemed to come multiple times each month, with spotting in between. Last month, I missed a blue pill during the first week on a new pack, so I took it the very next day along with that day's pill. Since then, I've not had my period at all except for two or three days of very light, brown spotting/discharge. Could this be my period or is there a chance I could be pregnant? ## Either answer is possible, actually. If you're sexually active, there is always a small risk of getting pregnant, even if you use protection. But those few days of spotting may very well have been your menstrual cycle for the month. ive been taking this for 3 weeks and i think i was supposed to start my period today but idk if i am able to get it later in the white pills or no.. , ## Actually, you usually won't start on the very first one, when you start your period while taking birth control pills, it is due to a withdrawal of the hormones that are in the regular tablets, so your period usually won't occur until 24 hours or more, after you start the inactive tablets. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Ive been taking the pill for three months, I had sex for the first time and i haven't gotten my period yet. Should i be freaking out? I startd the placebo on sunday, and its now wensday night. we had sex the day after my period ended last month. He wore a condom most of the time Am i rightfully...

What contraceptive can be used 4 an unprotected sex after abt a wk??? ## There isn't one. Since starting Tri-Sprintec, I have been taking the pill everyday close to the scheduled time. I've had no adverse reactions and my period as normal. Earlier this week, I had realized I missed a pill when I went to bed so I took it as soon as I woke up then took my regular pill as scheduled. Because I'm in the fire dept, I can't guarantee taking the pill everyday at the same time. However, my doctor said that because I'm on the combi pill, I don't have to take it at the EXACT same time everyday, just within 24 hours of the scheduled time. So this week, my timing has been a little wonky because of work. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend and have not been having any issues as of yet. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last night and through the c...
I am on Sprintec and have been for a while now? I have been taking it like I am suppose to. But, I have missed my period for a few months now and I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a while now. I am just wondering why my period has not came on yet? I have not yet taken a home pregnacy test because I don't think I am pregnant or have had any symptoms of pregnancy at all. I know everyone does not show signs right or have any signs of pregnancy. I have been losing and gaining weight so I am not sure why. Also I was wondering if i did get off of Sprintec an still have unprotected sex how long will it be before I can have a baby? Because, I know you have to be off of birth control for so long before you can have a baby. An I am in my 20s so I am old enough to have a...

I have accidentally skipped a few birth control pills these last few weeks due to a busy schedule, but I always take what I have missed and the pill for that day on the next day. Could I be pregnant? Also, should I take the next blue pill starting on my next packet if I do not get my period by then? ## Yes, it you missed pills, or took them late, then that does increase the risk of your being pregnant. She has gone 6 weeks with no period. Took the last 2 brown of the 1st pack and nothing, we will see what she does today & tomorrow when she takes the brown. I just finished the 2nd pack of Lo Loestrin and this is the 2nd month I have not had a period. I like not having a period but it is a little unnerving at the same time. My gyn said this is normal and I am continuing to have unprotected sex with my boyfriend. If it goes into a 3rd month of not having it, I am going to call my gyn again and find out when I should expect it. ## Yes, it can be normal, since this is a hormonal based contraceptive and your body is still getting used to it. However, if you want to, there is also no harm in taking a pregnancy test to put your mind at ease. Did you miss any tablets? Learn more oral contraceptive details here.
after abortion i take birth control pill after that period was irregular.please help me to get regular. ## That is actually something that you will need to discuss with your doctor or gynecologist. No one over the internet can possibly know your medical history or how this drug affects you, as well as the benefits or disadvantages that it provides you. I would recommend that you look into changing your method of birth control. I also recommend looking into a natural remedy called Clary Sage Essential Oil. Ok so I've been on sprintec for about 2weeks. I started my pills on a tuesday. Is it bad that I didn't start on a sunday or the after my period? If so, for my next pack should I wait wednesday, thursday, and friday without taking the pill. So I can start on a sunday? Or should wait for my period? Please reply anything will help. ## nope your body can't tell the difference between sunday and tuesday. My packs come with little stickers you can put over the days so that whatever day you start will be first ## Kate is correct, there is really no specific day that you have to start them on. Most doctors just tell patients to start them on Sunday to try to help create the habit of taking them, so their patients don't miss any pills. If you start them and you aren't on your...
Hi ! I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe last month. During my first month I never got a period just some light brown discharge for about two days.
