I went to a nutritionist and prescribed me redotex, just wanted to know if it interferes with birth control function or if the results of loosing weight are the same while using birth control? Just a quick question, Thanks. ## Hello, Birdy21! How are you? Redotex is not recommended, the FDA actually issued a warning about it last year. It contains a potentially dangerous combination of medications, including a benzodiazepine, which carries the risk of being habit forming. Have you considered consulting an actual doctor? There are safe and legal medications that you can try.
Hi everyone. So last week I went to get the jadelle removed but they only managed to get out one of the two implants. I had them both in for 5 years and one of them is really deep so I'm waiting on acc to approve of it being surgically removed.... Anyways, I was intimate with my partner without using protection 2 nights ago and was just wondering (if although I still have one rod in) whether I could be pregnant? ## Yes, there is a risk of pregnancy, not a very high one, but it is possible, especially if the implants are expired. The FDA lists the typical implant side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?
My doctor started me on the generic brand of sprintec about a month ago after being on the name brand for about 6 months. It caused me to have very bad diahhrea and messed with my stomach altogether but I dealt with it. It also caused my left breast to be extremely tender and painful to touch. My doctors didn't send my refills over for my birth control so I couldn't refill it when I ran out, so I had to double up the day after on the pills. A few days after that I was intimate with my boyfriend. However, we always use a condom and check it after for holes. I was supposed to start my period yesterday but it hasn't come. I took a pregnancy test but they were both negative. I'm still freaking out because my period almost always comes on time and this is just not normal for ...
So basically I made the mistake of taking week 4,instead of week 1.....It's been so hectic...what with the flooding down here (I live in Louisiana) After realizing I messed up I freaked and tried to catch up...but now looking at it...idk how I will...I'm already stressed and this made it worse.... ## Hello, Kristian! How are you? I hope you're still safe and well. The flooding has been terrible. If this ever happens again, remember, to start the active tablets, as soon as you realize your error and to take them for a full 7 days, before having unprotected intercourse, again. At this point, if you had intercourse during that week, there is a slight risk of pregnancy, but not very high, due to the fact that most women don't ovulate until approximately day 14 or 15 of their...
I started this birth control on the Sunday after my period, with the first row of a brand new pack ... So will my period come if I take the brown and white pills next week? Isn't my period suppose to be on the 3rd blue row? I'm confused. I finished the 3rd blue row and it's like I have my period but it's dark dark brown ... What's going to happen when I take the brown and white ones next week .. Ahhh ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? No, you will get your period the 4th week of the pack. The spotting that you're experiencing can be a normal side effect of taking oral contraceptives and usually takes about 3 months to wear off. You may also experience nausea, headache, irritability, weight gain and PMS like symptoms. If the bleeding continues, you may need to switch t...
After my favorite OC, Loestrin 24 Fe was discontinued my doctor has prescribed Minastrin 24 Fe. My body did not respond well to it at all (acne, weight gain, mood swings)... After trying a few other OC's and reading so many reviews on how great Loestrin 24 Fe was compared to Minastrin and others I thought if we got enough people to vote to bring Loestin 24 Fe back, maybe the company would consider it.... It is a shot in the dark but definitely worth taking... Respond if you would like to see Loestrin 24 Fe back on the market.
Updated in Loestrin 24 FeI took a full month and after my last pill of the month I missed 3 days because the pharmacy was out of pills.. Then I started my New pack took a pill the first day and second day after taking the pill the second day they night I had intercourse could I be pregnant?? ## Yes, there could be a chance that you are pregnant, not a very high one, but the possibility is definitely there, so you may want to check. In the future, it would be best to pick up a new supply a few days, before you'd run out and, if your pharmacy doesn't have it in stock, then you should try a different pharmacy. Transferring a prescription is a simple matter. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and PMS-like symptoms. Is the...
First time user of femilon but m still hsving periods after 5th day also, which generally stops after 5th day ## Hello, Wer! How are you? Has it stopped, yet? These are hormonal based contraceptives, so it can be normal for you to experience some oddities for the first few months, as your body gets used to them. Have you discussed it with your doctor? If you continue bleeding, you should make sure to get in touch with them to have things checked out. ## I am taking familion contraceptive pills and I started having periods after using it for 7 days. It's 4 th day of my period and I still have bleeding. Is it normal? I have stopped using the pills from the Day my periods started. Is everything okay or do I have to go to gynaecologist? ## I am having dysfunctional uterine bleeding due ...
I have been taking Mono-linyah for 2 months. I take it wishin 30 minutes of the same time every day. My SO and I have been doing a lot of oral lately. I might have touched myself with cum/precum on my hands afterwards. Last month I didn't have any side effects. For the last 3 days I had some brown discharge and then a tiny bit of spotting. i just need reassurance that it's just a side effect. ## Hello, Emily! How are you? Yes, you'd really have to have a lot of it on your hands for there to be any risk there and you'd basically have to be inserting them directly into yourself. Spotting and irregular bleeding can be normal side effects for the first 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to the medication, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, ...
Hi, so for the past 2 months my period has doubled. Is this normal with the patch? Am I taking it wrong and how can I make it stop? ## Hello, Charlie! How are you? Yes, that can be a normal side effect of using the contraceptive patch. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. It it continues past 3 to 4 months, you should consult your doctor, as you may need to try a different contraceptive. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been on lo loestrin fe for 3 months now and I've had a period at the begaining of the month for about 4 to 6 days then another after I take the last pill for 4 days has this happened to anyone else? ## Hello, Becca! How are you? That can be a normal side effect of taking hormonal contraceptives. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and weight changes. If the bleeding lasts for longer than 4 months, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different oral contraceptive. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you so much this explains a lot the bleeding only lasts about 4 to 6 days and when I take the last pills it only last four
I have been on tori sprintec since 2012. At the end of June I decided to skip my period. Well it worked for the week and then on my second week of my new pack I started bleeding, so needless to say I had two periods. I already knew this would happen. Now my main concern is I am already on a new pack and next week I will have a period but I am already bleeding...? I guess this is where my body is getting use to the change I made. I'm just a little confused. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Yes, that can happen, when you skip like that. When I was younger and on an oral contraceptive, I found that things usually corrected themselves after my next normal cycle. If they don't settle by then, you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly includ...
I was told to start Lo Loestrin Fe on the first day of my period however, the norm for me is light bleeding (mostly just when urinating and wiping but nothing on a pad) and then nothing for a day or two and then my full on period. Do I start taking it the very first time I start bleeding even though it is so light or wait until the day I have my normal, heavier bleeding? ## Hello, Maureen! How are you? The FDA states that it should be started at the first sign of bleeding. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Jus start taking the pill yesterday as told to start wen my period starts....I would like to know if I should have taken it when I saw the spotting or before I actually saw the period....an while am on this pill an if am to tame wen my periods should my flow still b coming an this heavy ## Hello, Gena! How are you? For it to be effective immediately, it should have been started the first or second day that you say any bleeding. If you started it the third day or later, then you'll need to take it for a full 7 days, before it will become effective at preventing pregnancy. That means a backup form of contraception must be used for the first 7 days, you will be protected on the 8th day. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I recently had a baby boy and started taking femiane afte...

UpdatedI have been on Sprintec 28 for 3 years now. I tried to skip my period by going straight into a new pack but my period started anyway and now I'm going into day 16 of my period. How can I get it to stop? ## I experienced that, as well, when I was younger and taking an oral contraceptive, unfortunately, it's just going to take time. Generally, I found that I would bleed or spot, until after my next period week, then usually things would finally settle down and return to normal. If it doesn't stop by then, you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took a month off of bc pills to give my body a chance to cleanse in a way. I have endometriosis so I need to be on bc pills continuously which means I'd skip the placebo pills and go right to the next pack. Jowever no where in the I instructions for lo estrin fe does it explain what the brown and white pills are. I heard the brown ones are reminder pills which makes no sense to me. Do they have hormones like the blue pills? And are thw white pills placebo? Or the brown ones?I need to skip all placebos so I am only taking the blue pills continuously. But I wanna make sure the brown onea arent improtant to take. Thanks! ## Hi amanda, According to the prescribing information on loloestrin.com, Lo Loestrin Fe consists of 28 tablets in the following order (3): - 24 blue tablets (active...
