i have had the jadelle in my arm for 1 and a half years now with NO bleeding ( no period no spotting) this entire time until four days ago when i woke up with blood in my underwear. What is very confusing is that this only happens in the morning . i put a tampon in each day at 7-8am and then take it out at 12-2 and it is full or nearly full. If i put another one in it will get no blood on it , and then later at night no blood on liner. I wake up during the night and still NO BLOOD. Until about 6am ish . I have ibd and am not in flare up and my medication has not changed and i am not stressed . why am i bleeding in the mornings only ??? ## It isn't that you are only bleeding in the mornings, it is most likely that you are slowly spotting throughout the day, it's just so light tha...

I am one of the customers unhappy with the discontinuation of Loestrin 24 Fe. I saw so many negative reviews with those who switched to Minastrin that I refused to take it despite what my nurse was trying to say. I researched and knew a generic was coming. I have waited since October of last year for Lomedia and picked up my prescription and pills 3 weeks ago. I still haven't taken them because I'd like to know about the experience on these pills. Has anyone taken Lomedia? Please share your experience so we can all be informed. ## Hello, Kimmie! How are you? From what I can find, there is no difference better the Lomedia and LoEstrin FE, the active ingredients and the dosages are the same. The FDA has approved it as a generic equivalent, so you shouldn't have any problems wi...

I'm on my second pack of the pills and I've been taking them everyday around the same time. I probably shouldn't let there be a time gap on weekends but I take them when I wake up, which is a few hours after my normal time during the week. Would that mess up the effectiveness of the pill? And when I first started taking them, I started my period and forgot to take the pill the first day but my mom told me to just take the first pill on the second day instead. So technically I've always been a pill behind. Is there anything I can do and if I've had intercourse, am I at any greater risk? And finally, my last period started at a really strange time and lasted a full 5 days but I kept bleeding for another whole week, is that normal? And is there a large risk if I had unp...

How long do I have to take Lo Loestrin Fe before it's effective for PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder)? I just started taking it today and I would like to know what to expect. ## Unfortunately, there is really no way to give a definitive response, it can vary from person to person. Some have a great response the first month, but for others it may take several months. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. Have you experienced any improvements, yet?

Hi. My girlfriend and I had an oral last jan 7, but no intercourse. We're just so afraid of having a baby because we're too young for that. So I let her take nordette 18 hours after the deed and another dose after 12 hours. She still not bleeding until now, it's been a week, does nordette fails? Please help us :((( ## I don't think she'll be pregnant beause of what you have said, you did it ORALLY. Common sense. ## She cannot get pregnant from oral actions, there is nothing to worry about. At this point, her period is most likely late due to her taking the Nordette, it can throw her cycle off, her period may not appear at its regular time, she may experience spotting, or other PMS-like symptoms, according to NIH reports. Has there been any change? Did she experience ...

I have read that when you take nordette you will experience side effects like nausea and breast tenderness. My partner and i did It, then 2 days after i learned about nordette and used it as ecp. I followed the instruction, 4 pills and then another 4pills exactly 12 hrs later. It has been seven days since i took the second batch, but i haven't had any of the sideeffects. Is that okay? Or does that mean it didn't work? ## Hi! Don't worry about it. I've taken Nordette a couple of times. There were times that I had horrible symptoms (nausea, vomiting, acne) but other times that I felt nothing but got my period after taking it. ## I had my period on oct 20 and I had intercourse with my bf on oct 31. It was my fertile day and after 2 days, Nov. 2 i took nordette 4 pills at 8p...

I started loestrin fe 28 before my period was due. In about the end of the second/beginning of the third week, I started bleeding heavy then it has lightened up but it's been almost two weeks now. Can someone PLEASE tell me if this is normal, when it will stop and if I can do anything to make it stop sooner. Thanks! ## Hello, Marie! How are you? Yes, irregular bleeding can occur for about the first 3 months, until your body gets used to the hormonal changes that are caused by these oral contraceptives. There's really nothing you can do to stop it, it will just have to stop on its own. If it gets to be very heavy, or doesn't stop after a few months, then you should check with your doctor as this may not be the right one for you to take. The FDA lists other side effects as pos...

My name is beauty am 28, I was placed on birth control pill by my doctor due to irregular menstrual flow. And ve been on it for 8 months now but since I noticed that my flow is now regular I decided to stop in May n in may I saw my period but I didn't see it in June.I did pregnancy test n it was negative,I can even feel d sign but is just not coming out. Pls wat can I do am scared. ## Hello, Beauty! How are you? First of all, please calm down. Skipping your period isn't a bad thing and it isn't harmful. You took this hormonal based contraceptive for months, then just suddenly went off of it, so you've likely thrown your natural hormones off balance and it may take a few months for them to balance back out on their own. And it was this medication that was causing them to b...

If my period start on a Fri. should I start taking the first pill that says start and tale thevery first pill Sunday? ## Even if you didn't start your period on a Sunday, you should take the first active tablet the first day of your period. That will provide immediate protection against pregnancy. The only exception to this would be if your doctor has instructed you otherwise. Oral contraceptives may cause side effects, such as headache, irritability, bloating and irregular bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello am hajji, I removed my implant this week and am having this pain in my lower abdomen, any time I easy my self this discharge is coming out, and I need a baby please what can I take that will bring back my period. Thanks

I skipped the last gray pill from week 1 and the first blue pill from week 2. I was on vacation and spaced it. I then restarted taking one pill per day, per schedule. Then my period started with terrible cramps. I continued to take the one active light blue per day. It is now the second day of my menstrual cycle and as I'm reading all the comments and drug guide I now realize I should've taken the pills as soon as possible instead of skipping them altogether. I realize that not taking the pills causes the cycle. woops. I'm wondering if I should just continue on schedule, (take the active pills and also have menstruation now) and then just focus on being compliant in the future? Or should I do something else? I'm not in a great place to access medicine so I don't know...

I got the mirena put in 2 weeks ago and have been bleeding heavy since. Today my doctor put me on primolut n. I just wanted to know what is actually going to do? Will it stop my bleeding ? ## Hello, Tam! How are you? That is pretty common with the Mirena, though not everyone experiences heavy bleeding. But hopefully yes, the doctor has prescribed that to try to help balance your hormones back out, so the bleeding stops. The typical side effects of the Primolut N may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. The only way to see if it will help is by actually trying it. If the bleeding doesn't stop, you'll need to return to your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi, I got the mirena IUD inserted last week and i am currently still ble...

Hi, all- So the general rule of thumb I've always known is the lower the dose, the higher the chance of spotting/breakthrough bleeding. However, my doctor advised me that LO loestrin might actually lessen the change of intermenstrual bleeding because at a certain point, the dose gets so low that the lining of the uterus doesn't build up sufficiently for any bleeding to occur at all. My question: has anyone had experience with taking both Loestrin and Lo Loestrin? Did you experience, more, less, or the same amount of spotting/breakthrough bleeding between periods? I totally trust my doctor, yet I'm somehow reluctant to try lest it get even worse... Thanks! M ## My 15 yr old daughter had heavy bleeding and started bc to stop . She continued with heavy break through bleeding fo...

I am switching from Genereress Fe 0.8mcg/25mcg to Lo Loestrin Fe 1mg/10mcg. I took Generess for 2yrs and loved it but the price more than doubled so I had to switch to a more affordable birth control. I am a firm believer in reading all information before starting anything. I have read all the information provied by my Dr. and it doesn't state ANYWHERE on my Lo Loestrin Fe information weather this is a chewable pill or not. My Generess was chewable and that was clearly stated on the packaging, not so much with my new Lo Loestrin Fe. It is made by the same company as Generess but each birth control differs. Is this meant to be chewed or swallowed whole???? HELP! ## Hello, Lexi! How are you? No, this one is meant to be swallowed whole. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral co...

Hello, i have been on Lo Lestrin for quite some time now (7 months)and ever since i got on that pill, i usually get very late and light periods. Although, le 26th day of my cycle, my boyfriend and i didn't use the condom for the first time. I didn't get my period at all the 28th day and i havent gotten anything in 3 weeks! i do have cramps now and a white discharge. What's going on? ## Have you been checked for pregnancy? It is possible to skip your periods altogether, while taking this contraceptive, it does happen to some women. However, in light of the discharge, if that's unusual for you, then you should consult your doctor, because it could be due to an infection. ## Hi. I've been taking dubagest 200 for 5 days which is prescribed by my doctor. How long will it ...
