Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 7)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

I have noticed, as well as others including my boss, parents, siblings, adult children and friends that I am acting the same as I did before being on medication for ADD. I just now refilled my prescription and was given the generic Sandoz once again. They are totally ineffective!! I have read the medication guide and the list of active ingredients no longer includes "amphetamine salts". Obviously this is the missing ingredient and without it these pills are no better than placebo's. How can these companies get away with this BS? Are the ER a better alternative now or have they also been tampered with. Please help, thanks.

I use the round pink ones now 30mg ir.
It has cor/136 on one side and a "+" on the other. They're not nearly as strong as the old Barr 30mg instant release but however it's better than nothing.

For me the Teva Adderall IR is the most potent

FYI Avoid the Malllinckodt brand. It is absolutely --horrible--

barr teva adderall causes me water retention. i have no idea why so if your gaining weight on them thats the answer! teva barr is made in the US so that should answer your question on quality! To me there just sugar pills and make you feel good but its real short lived! Core pharma is strong but leaves you with tons of side effects and you just stop feeling it working! Its a rush of energy then boom its gone! Core is a pink pill and made in the US. Sandoz is made in europe they have higher standards there so your getting more active ingredient. It will give you a headache if one your tolerance is low and you take a huge dosage or your not hydrated enough with water and electrolytes and last reason is if you don't replenish your dopamine levels in your brain! once you use adderall your brain will never and i repeat never restore your dopamine levels back to normal like it once did you need to increase your protein by a lot it doesn't matter what brand your on! The best adderall is sandoz they just struck a deal with shire and will be producing adderall xr generic in 2016-2017! people think its a binder in the adderall that makes the difference. its not once you use sandoz adderall for a month and go back to bar or corepharma you will be regretting it big time. they are in two different leagues!

In my estimation. I would without a doubt get the sandos brand. It is the cleanest and smoothest of them all.

My son is 9 and has been on the generic for 3 years now. we have always had teva 20 mg, we break them in half and he takes 10mg in am and 10 at noon. if he has sports or anything he takes 10 at 4pm. This last month I went to get his refill and could not find them anywhere. the dr's office found them at the hospital so I went and had them filled. but... they were Corpharma pink ones. I said it is all we can get so we will try it. He has been complaining about belly pains since right after he started taking it and he has been really sensitive and crying. I use to get them at sams, 45 pills for $30.00, now they are telling me they are considered the brand name and they are like $200.00! but they have Sandoz and Actavis. I think he has taken the Actavis before but I can not find a picture of it or the inactive ingredients. can anyone help me. we are almost out of his meds and I don't knwo what to do.

Cvs pharmacy is were i go when I want teva/Barr there active incredients IMO don't cause too much stomach issues and taste sweet like candy! Sandoz I feel is a great brand for adults but not kids its really strong and will have your child awake for days! Almost every cvs I've been too carries bar/teva

Teva/Barr is the most consistent brand.

Mallinckodt is horrible...avoid this.

I have a question about about one the points you made in your post (Re: "once you use adderall your brain will never and i repeat never restore your dopamine levels back to normal like it once did...")

Mainly, what leads you to believe so emphatically that once a person takes adderall (for an extended period) his or her brain will "NEVER" restore its dopamine levels back to normal like it one did?

Don't get me wrong, I am in no way questioning your credibility. I'm not even disagreeing with you necessarily. Rather, as someone who has been taking adderall for 3+ years, lately I have been trying to find a definitive answer at to whether or not adderall "permanently" diminishes/reduces the brain's ability to restore dopamine levels, or will it eventually go back to normal - assuming he or she stops taking adderall. Most of information I've come across thus far has been inconclusive if not flat-out contradictory. You seem to have a very strong opinion on the issue, so I was hoping you could help me understand your reasoning.
E.g. Personal/Family experience; research, articles/journals, etc..

FYI Teva/Barr is now Made in Mexico and I noticed extreme drop in quality as of 9/15. I would avoid tho have yet to find good alternative. Haven't tried sandbox or core...but ariphunda (?) or whatever it's called is not great

Adderall is not like any other central nervous system stimulant! It's properties are really similar to methamphetamine but in our case it's a clean pharmaceutical grade version of it! What adderall does is it forces your body to release dopamine everytime you take the pill and it blocks the reuptake of dopamine! Because your body is now depending on adderall to release these feel good hormones it forgets how to do it! If you truly have adhd or add and are not using the drugs for recreational use or energy then you would now kids or adults with adhd/add don't have the ability to release dopamine! So when you give an adhd/add kid this drug he will become quiet and calm because he feels great doing whatever he's doing compared to before. I've been taking adderall for a very long time and have done lots of research of the drug! When I say lots I mean literally almost a years worth! I've researched all the different brands their history their qualifications how adderall changes your brain chemistry, anxiety issues, so if you have any questions on it just ask! It's helped me a lot with my ADD made me love life!

I have been on adderall for 20 years. Long story but i'm not going there. I've tried every generic out there. I don't believe that theres any less mg of adderall in different generics then others. I do however believe that with some generics, the filler may act differently to you with absorption, adding tums wont do a whole lot because it's a different process of making the adderall. 90% of the time you wont notice a difference. However, i have noticed for a while the pink cor suck. I hate them. When i get them ill get through the month, but not like when they had the oval oranges 30mg ir. Now, what i always try to get is the actavis 30mg orange moon/28. Hands down for me, they are the best in every aspect. orange=good Love em.

Dopamine downrgulation can result, and is results in similar areas of the brain which are affected by Parkinson's. The specific area in the brain is the Substantia Nigra.

However, concerning "permanent" neurotoxicity, more scholary research shows, quite elaborately and cogently, the concept of brain neuroplasticity, that even when the brain is damaged (through whatever means) the brain will adapt, to even pathological change, chemical or environmental
in nature.

You may indeed find studies investigating the relationship between amphetamine and neurotoxicity, but the vast majority are theoretical in scope and depth, or the "study" investigates the nonhuman brain (the brain of a mouse or rat)

Moreover, in terms of you using the word "permanent" in terms of changes in dopamine,
neuroplasticity outweighs neurotoxicity in any double-blind, cross sequential study of the human brain.

Amphetamine is one of the few drugs that has been meticulously studied for years.

Conversely, methamphetamine is another story. It would be commensurate with comparing tramadol to oxycodone, and there are indeed studies showing definite, acute, changes in both the "tone" and "structure" of brain function, metabolism, and neurodevelopment.

Yet, once again, if you endeavor in substantial research, you will note, quite immediately, that the studies (invariably) did not follow participants (was not a longitudinal study) but was either a very "acute portrait" of brain structure change, or, was a study that failed to provide "continuity of study results," or studied the nonhuman brain.

Also, any marked clinical structure change in "tone or "metabolism" in most all scholary research
was (as stated) with profoundly excessive use of methamphetamine (i.e. IV users or users who inhale or consume the substance in absolutely difficult to envision amounts and quantities.

To conclude, I am a scientist (and a person) who embraces the concept of neuroplasticity, which
is indeed a concept that has been demonstrably proved (longetuitively) in a kaleidoscope of cogent brain studies.

You should have just told the troublesome pharmacy to transfer the RX to another (named) pharmacy, then gone to the new pharmacy and instructed them to call the pharmacy holding your prescription and given them the phone number to call, the new pharmacy will call them and ask them to transfer your prescription over to them. That is something they can't refuse, by law.

I am using the 10mg Sandoz brand, and compared to the barr 20mg cut in half, it's like taking candy that doesn't do anything. I borrowed 3 20mg barr tablets from a friend to try adderall to help me focus, I took them by the halves in 10mg doses, the acute focus and "lets get this s*** done!" attitude was incredible and I got so much work done, I was so joyful to finally be able to sit at the computer for 8 hours and just "work". Well I went talk to my doc and he gave me a prescription, I was so excited to go to work that next monday and get some serious work done, I took one of the 10mg Sandoz tablets, it took a while to notice anything (I guess because it's smoother) and my focus was not anywhere CLOSE to the acuteness that I had experienced a few weeks prior. I was still very easily distracted, and just felt lazy and didnt feel like working, but was still speedy. Very disappointing to say the least. I'm going back in a few days to exchange my bottle for a new script of name brand to see if that makes a difference. I even tried taking 20mg of Sandoz and still not nearly as focused or "in the zone" as a single 10mg of BARR. Doesn't matter how much it costs, I'm so behind on work I wish I could just "will myself" to get work done but my brain has other ideas of things it would like to do.

I only tried four 10mg BARR brand from a friend, then got a prescription 2 weeks later since it worked so well for me to get work done. I got filled with 10mg Sandoz... it's a COMPLETELY different effect with ZERO focus in comparison to the BARR brand I used. But this was made over a year ago, so is BARR still good? Which brand should I look for? Sandoz SUCKS, I even tried 20mg... no focus at all.

Is brand name IR adderall good? Cost is no concern for me.

I take the Barr 10 mg (blue oblong) filled @ Walgreen's w/ excellent results. However, my experience @ CVS has been terrible. For instance, I am prescribed 30mg (ER/SR) salts in AM & 10 mg for later in day. If I fill at CVS , I will have almot no response to the medication they put into the bottles. Such as the 10 mg ER salts by Activis nor the 10mg salts by Teva- each is like taking sugar. Or even less, at least with sugar I feel *something* for 30 seconds. I emptied the 10mg ER salts to see if anything was actually inside the capsule. I will fill my generic Adderall scripts only at Walgreen's or occasionally at *one* of the on-site pharmacies which is at my PCP's office. Not all of their (huge organization of sites) pharmacies use the same manufacturers, it's a gamble which manufact/med they will have in-stock that week/month and what might be in the bottles I've received. When it's a less dependable manufacturer it will have a marginal effect and sometimes a bad side effect which is extremely taxing on the mind and body. I stick with Walgreen's where all pharmacies in MA use the same manufacturer and 98% of the time they have what I need in stock upon my first visit, unlike CVS which seems to be out of something regardless of what I'm attempting to fill.

I can confirm now, after initially trying Adderall first time with Barr 10mg... then getting a script for Sandoz 10mg, the Sandoz had zero positive effect on, just dizziness and anxiety about work. I got the Dr. to rewrite the script in exchange for the bottle of pills I had, I went to walgreens made sure it was Barr, and got it filled again there for 10mg. PERFECT. Exactly what it's supposed to do, clear crisp focus with zero body effects. Very bizarre that this is a thing.

I did not like the pink ones at ALL. Ive had the best experience with the orange oval tables (well my 30mg is ovsl, not sure what other doses look like)
