Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 6)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

I know you are old as dirt because you said "certs" HAHA. And you are right, we are so lucky. I was JUST diagnosed with a sleep disorder that has been messing with me for 30+ years and adderall has totally changed my life! So, advanced medicine and drugs!

I like the pink oval 30mg ones better than the round orange 30mg ones. I feel like they work better for me.

I also have Narcolepsy and their is NO cure.
So yes they do prescribe adderall to help us stay awake n motivated. Its not just adderall that is given to Narcoleptics. They do have other recommendations but nothing is going to cure it, its to just help us. Just like with adhd. Medicications dont cure no one.

My CVS will not special order. They say all CVS stores carry same for my state and they cannot do it. I am in NE Florida and only Walgreen's has Teva/Barr and they will no longer fill for me unless I have ALL my scripts transferred to them. It is a conspiracy and their service sucks. CVS rocks!! Attitudes at Walgreens suck too. I used to love going to Walgreens but now despise Walgreens pharmacy and store (another story...geesh). Has anyone in NE Florida found a place to get the Teva Barr 20mg? The thought of using Walgreen's for all my meds literally creates so much anxiety that I get sick thinking about it. That is how awful Walgreen's treats their customers. I had a $200 retail order that I was checking out and one of my 2/$10 items came up for 8.00. It was mispriced on shelf as 2/10 also and they disputed with me over $3 so I just said....."ya know what? Cancel my entire transaction. This is a huge order and you are arguing with me about $3 that was falsely advertised and your store is at fault and you are unwilling to give me the item for the price you advertised it for on the shelf? What? Huh? I won't be back.". I****S!

LOL, somebody's awake! How can someone who is obviously ultra focused on what they are writing, say that their ADD medication isn't working properly? I think, perhaps, you do not have ADD/ADHD, but I could definitely be wrong.

After taking Teva brand for years, my prescription was once filled with San do brand, which I thought would have same results. I couldn't understand why I was constantly tired and DEPRESSED! Did some research and discovered others had same side effects. I will never take that brand again, even though Teva has suddenly skyrocketed in price. :(

I have 50 years of prescription drug use and I swear on everything that is dear to me that Brand name drugs are the purest and best quality. Generic drugs have FILLERS. Fillers can give you unpleasant side effects and minimize the purity of the actual drug. Generic drugs will always be cheaper but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY for and I would rather go broke on the Brand name than get sick on whatever they add to the generics.

I'm so sorry you're having this experience @ Walgreen's. I've had good experiences with them and go out of my way in snow and ice when I can walk to CVS bc they do carry the only brand of generic Adderall which works for me and have never forced me to get any scripts from them one way or the other. I get scripts filled all over the place depending upon the urgency (ER) and cost (out of pocket vs. insurance) and generic equivilent (fillers @ pharmacies). It's one of the few things that seems to be permissible in Boston (MA). The pharmacists also make/take the time for me at Walgreen's vs. @ CVS I feel like a p.i.t.a. nuisance. The only good thing about Osco is their costs for a non-insurance approved med. I have started taking for weight loss, they are 25% less than CVS and 30% less than Walgreens. I just wish their pharm techs would learn to speak English.

I'm confused, isn't Sandoz the original patent holder ? In other words, aren't they the maker of brand name Adderall vs. generic amphetamine salts ?

I'm hip... sandos are def more potent than other adderall meds I've tried (all of the 10, 15, 20, &, 30 mg tab brands) & unfortunately... pharma cor brand tabs have an inactive ingredient (which one I am not certain?) that I really dont like makes me super shaky & physical sick, sweats, super tired, ect...that being said... in my opinion sandos absolutely do what I expect them to do....they are more than effective! #thumbsup

Thank you for your post. I found it to be informative and have never had the idea of taking it a hour before waking. Then again, I suffer from multiple conditions and I am lucky if I sleep sometimes. I need to get back on schedule and have not thought about trying it this way. I have been subscribed this medication for 3 years now. Hopefully your method will help. Thanks again for the post!

I agree. The orange pills work much better than the pink ones. When I went to Target, I asked the pharmacist which one they carry and he was very rude and told me it was illegal for him to tell me and that they both work the same.

All Rite aid pharmacies carry the pink round ones. That's the only place I have ever gotten them. I prefer the orange oval. But it's so incredibly hard to find a pharmacy that isn't sold out or on back order. But rite Aid ALWAYS has the pinks in stock they dont carry any other brands either. Walgreens tends to have the orange once on a regular bases bit they are very difficult to deal with PLIS, IF THEY REFUSE TO FILL YOUR SCRIPT FOR ANY REASON... usually discrepancies regarding amount of days since your last fill..THEY WRITE ON YOUR PRESCRIPTION SO YPU CAN'T FILL IT ANYWHERE ELSE !!!!

Target is wrong. You can call every pharmacy in your area and ask them directly which manufacturer they use for the product in question for generic and brand. You can get information on the cash price it will cost you and the co-pay price. I do it all the time. Do it by phone, save yourself some time and aggravation. That must have been humiliating. These days, no one tells the customer's behind you to back-the-f-blank-up when they crowd you in line. People get impatient and stand right next to you while you're paying or talking and the people with the power to do so never tell them to go away and get back in line. the Target tech/pharm was wrong.

YOU GUYS HAVE YOU NOTICED THE NEW SHAPE OF THE ORANGE OVAL BARR 30MG ADDERALL. IT SEEMS TO ACT ALOT DIFFERENT. I think they changed the formula. Anybody else noticed this?

The round pink are a great alternative to the oval orange/peach 30mg ir. Just when it comes to adderall take as little as possible and IF YOU CAN come off completely for a few days and lower your dose even more. This helps the med stay effective. If you're eating a ton of the drug your tolerance will go way up. This is personal advice not from a doctor. The round pink do fine. They're not as strong as the old Teva/Barr 30mg but they work.

I'm getting confused by all the color coded discussion about this medication. Does anyone know the manufacturer of and which dose they are taking - it can be found on the script's bottle. Colors are determined by manufacturer, dose is prescribed by doctor, each manufacturer uses different food coloring to differentiate between their inside dosages. I have old pills here that are different shapes and shades of blue ,so it's the bottles which define what they are. have never seen a round pink pill nor an oval peach pill and it's difficult to interpret these threads w/out going back and reading thru all the emotional stuff. I'm dealing with Medicare Part D right now and am realizing that to stay on my prescriptions I will need to give up my home because people with disabilities who have an income higher than $17500 per year are not elibible for prescription drug coverage after 2 years of being disabled. The government believes that as you age not only do your disabilities magically disappear but you also become financially secure. I am going to loose my home because the cost of Part D is more than my mortgage. I'm being forced onto Medicare and because I'm not even 62 let alone 65 I'm not eligible for financial assistance which happens at 65. Perhaps the more generic the adderall the cheaper it gets ?

Have you tried vyvance? I know it is very frustrating but once you get the meds right it should get better. I am taking Wellbutrin for depression which works for me and adderal for adh.
