Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 29) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIs the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?
Re: Sid (# 49)
Vyvanse...
Also how old are you? Is it hereditary in your family? It could be coincidence Maybe?
Re: Sick puppy (# 519)
Are you asking me ? It doesn't say the entire number for who you are asking the question
Re: ELLIE (# 512)
Thank you for the link to this information. I'm going back to my doctor to request the brand name Adderall IR since this latest prescription was filled with the Mallinckbrodt generic which makes the Teva generic seem like a dream in comparison. I'll take Teva any day over Mallinckbrodt. Its so ineffective that its scary.
Re: JannyC (# 522)
Hey just a heads up. So I've already have my doctor due to Prior authorizations to get me brand name. I keep getting denied. He's writing a third one this month. so just wanted to tell you be prepared to jump through all kinds of Hoops it's crazy that they will approve Vyvanse which is 5 times the cost of brand name Adderall. Good luck
Re: JannyC (# 522)
I'm not even sure that they are making the original name brand Adderall at this time.
I have also found my favorite Sandoz was discontinued from Costco and at $60 for 45 30mg it was a deal. After searching all day I found Impax at Safeway. Never heard of it but heard it was a shire company. Not sure. either way I had no choice. It s a little mellow, but balanced. Maybe because Im was spoiled on the holy grail. Whos had experience with Prasco and where is it found?
Re: ELLIE (# 511)
Is the Adderall IR listed? I only see XR on the list...
Re: Purplerayn86 (# 527)
Well, dog's friend is very lucky! LOL! Anyway, I spoke to my pharmacist before actually filling my perscription. On my notes she stated, No Mallinckrodt . She will be filling the next script with Sandoz. Never had it but according to those on this thread, it works pretty well. Praying for a miracle since none of the other generics are avialable to me any more via CVS which is the only pharmacy my insurance allows. I don't know if I am on IR or XL. My doc wrote for 20 mgs twice a day which insurance covers. Then I get fifteen which I pay for that allows for the 25 mgs 2x/day that works the best for me. I'll let you know how it goes. This stuff I'm on now causes an elevated heart rate which is actually pretty scary even though I'm very active. Thank you all for your comments. Theyve been helpful and grateful.
Can someone give me a little help here. I am or was a SANDOZ or core pharma person. I have tried many different generic Adderall manufacturers and have found thru trial and error that those two brands work best for me. Is there any truth to the PRASCO blurbs I've heard about? I am grateful for any response that can help me find my medicine that works. I thank all of you for your posts. They have been very helpful during this inconvience that I and many others must go through just to get our medicine that works for us. Thanks
Re: Jglow (# 532)
I legitimately feel the same way. When I drink I get f***ed up and argue with my girlfriend. I just hate myself without corepharma, like I'm a miserable person and no other drugs work! I've tried everything, every brand, even Vyvanse.
Focus is better with sandoz, but they are no longer available. If you get them they are probably from the pharmacy inventory and the next time you go for a refill they will be gone. I tried Ipax recently which lacked both Dex and Amph. But better than malenkrodt. I went back for a refill and they said 5 days. I'm on the search again.

Re: Jglow (# 532)
I feel your pain. WHAT XR MANUFACTURER ARE YOU TAKING? Ive Been through the same agony for over a year. Tried every generic ir, dex, evekeo, and now in adderall xr made by prasco which is pretty good. 30mg 2/day .first waking up and I open the second capsule and take it in 2 doses later on . Biting few few beads helps too. Overall they are smooth and feel like original adderall but last about 7 hours. But you must only take prasco or Sandoz xr. Walgreens has prasco. And you must take the right dose. Too little you will be sleepy. Ex: if you were fine with 3 20mg ir(when ir was good) a day then take 2 30mg xr. Good luck. And tums helps and eat well
Re: Ray (# 539)
I'm still able to get sandoz to this day here in Pittsburgh.
Re: Dawn (# 544)
I called my usual pharmacy the other day and was looking for options. I was surprised that he was able to get me Sandoz. So is the rumor of Sandoz unavailability just a hiccup in supply or is it just a remainder of whats left we are getting?
Sun Pharma Adderall does not work at all. They seem to be sleeping pills instead. These pills are yellow, small and round. Has anyone else tried these?
Re: Dawn (# 544)
Help!!! I’m from Pittsburgh too and am wondering where!?!? I normally take the Teva/Barr generic however I think I got a bad batch or the quality got worse...
Re: Alex (# 548)
Hi! I live in the Philly suburbs. Media, PA to be exact. The CVS I go to because the pharmacist listens to my concerns (CVS is the only drug store I can use due to my insurance) gave me Sandoz Adderall IR (my doc won't prescribe XR) this last time and I'd say they are pretty good. Never had them before since taking this medication has been a 6 month deal for me. But in that time, I've had Barr, which was the best, Teva, which compared to Mallinckrodt, was better. But, I've gone back to my left over Mallinckrodt just to see if there is a difference between them and the Sandoz I have. There isn't really now. Maybe when our brains get used to taking something for awhile we experience a difference in effectiveness. I keep playing with doages in the hopes I say steady, but not exeeding 50mg/day. Tomorrow I'll continue this research with my Sandoz to see how that affects me. Too bad Barr and Teva are no longer made from what I've read on this post. Thank you all for weighing in, though. Its helpful to read what others are experiencing.
Re: Dawn (# 554)
20mg, they’re small & yellow! I live south of Pittsburgh and use Giant Eagle pharmacies. I’m scared to death to try them (even though I feel like my regular Tevas have dropped in quality) but tell me if you find them and like them! Apparently Teva is discontinued now so i have no idea what to do anymore lol.
Re: Nell (# 555)
I live in the south hills too. By Bridgeville.
I used to live in South Park
Re: OG (# 389)
Aurobindo? (Aurolife is an American manufacturer and part of Aurobindo). Aww, heck no!!! I would highly advise anyone to not EVER get a script filled or take, any meds made by them. I have been taking my generic Adderall made by Aurolife for the last two months and I feel so bad, most days all I can do is lay in bed and be still. I have awful, debilitating nausea, NO energy what so ever, really fatigued, no focus or enthusiasm. Most days I could care less what goes on. I can't eat, just thinking of food or drinks makes the nausea worse. I thought maybe I was having these problems because I was taking my prescription pain meds on the same day as the Adderall. Not at the same time, maybe an hour apart. I thought maybe they were affecting me badly because of taking them in the same day. So, I stopped taking Adderall for quite a few days and just took my hydrocodone and muscle relaxer. I was okay with that unless I didn't eat well first. So then I knew it was the Adderall and started looking up info on the tablets I have. The manufacturer was not listed on the bottle so I had to find that info and then started looking at the Aurobindo/Aurolife reviews on the internet.
Yeah, they are the reason I have been sick as a dog. A lot of people have had the same issues with Aurobindo/Aurolife Adderall. I could go on listing the bad side effects that I have had but I won't. But I felt so miserable, I just wanted to be dead. They obviously not only make poor quality meds, but the quality is really inconsistent. One day a pill would make me almost feel semi decent, then the next day after taking one, I would feel nothing. Most days, I just felt really tired and really nauseated. I have taken Adderall for a while now (a few years with breaks now and then) and I have never felt like this until I started taking the generic Adderall from my doctor's pharmacy. I couldn't even complain to the FDA if I wanted to about the crappy medicine because they require manufacturer info and other stuff on the form on their website which is not listed on the bottle. So all I can do is try to warn others to find out who the maker is before getting the script filled. I got my new script filled at another pharmacy and asked before getting it and they gave me Sandoz generic Adderall. I sure hope it works and doesn't make me sick. I am spending too much money on anti-nausea meds!
