Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 13)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Ok anybody with advice I would much f*****g appreciate it since no pharmacy or doctor cares of any real sense but the cents in their wallets. An I'm fed up.

Been prescribed Adderall 30mg twice daily for over 1 year...

First script was orange round AURO BINDO. I couldn't tell the difference as it was my first script ever....then....

From there on I always always got the COR PHARMA PINK ROUND....these I don't remember it being such a struggle to adjust to different generics (as I am right now) for months i got the pink, dull of energy, motivated, just good to go.....

So today is my 3rd day, since i blindly picked up my script from CVS as I moved an pharmacy changed, never thought as I should of to even ask or look till I left....yea well...I'm sooo frustrated right now, since day filling them been on Google obsessively searching differences between the three....an it's almost made my problem worse as everyone's opinion is completely different....

Three days ago, CVS gave me the [ORANGE/OVAL FOOTBALLS] manufacturer TEVA USA....well I would of took them if I noticed anyway why, cuz I've read up on this all prior to this pickup just totally slipped my mind....

Did tons of research on the differences, pages an pages, most of the input says the teva footballs are best generic brand of the rest. An preferred #1 overall generics....#2 is PINK COR PHARMA, I'm just like trying to understand, today already ive taken 3 of the footballs since noon, it's 6pm, just the pink ones seemed alot stronger..someone said now everyone likes the PINKS better then TEVA ORANGE ( as some time ago it was opposite hense all the info from years ago) I just need some feedback man I'm in a f****in bad mindset it's messing with me knowing there's no return to CVS or my doc is also not informed on this clearly....so 27 days?

I'm praying someone reading can just help me with some feedback, it's only day 3 from COR PHARMA to TEVA, does it take time/ a week or so, to adjust to c changed generics??? My tolerance is RIDICULOUS !!! It's so hard to avoid a whole day man, also take 12mh Suboxone daily. I just need my addies....

Ive even took extra steps, really understanding it all, I drink one monster energy' a day, as I'm addicted to them (also) so ritually I take 4 *ANTACID CALCIUM SUPPLEMENT* tums, they do maximize the absorption rate, wait 35-45 mins then take dose to clear out stomach acids that would steal some of the dose....

I considered that the fillers in each generic is different, an the reason people's opinions are so crooked is because the fillers affect people differently, but then I also read few spots that, unless your sensitive to certain medicine, fillers don't effect most folks...so the one option I see left, an I'm praying it's true....

It's only day 3, since the switch, day 1 was terrible, day two it worked but lasted very short like 2 hrs maybe, an today it's already gone....an it hasn't fully adjusted to my system, along with my tolerance is VERY high??? take about a week to adjust to really judge if it's working as well, no headache anymore as day 1, but it's just not effective that well longer then an hour or two....sucks man I can't eat the s*** outta them as i want to..or end month will come n I'll be kickin myself I already know it....

IF ANYONE' OUT THERE READING, an has filled a TEVA ORANGE OVAL FOOTBALLS script recently, an can help in anyway, feedback is much appreciated!!!!

My father has had MS chronically for over 40 years it is the fatigue that cripples him. I suggested he started taking Adderall because I know it is prescribed for chronic fatigue narcolepsy and ADHD. He began taking it A few years ago and has helped only slightly some medications work well for some people maybe you could try Ritalin and see how that works. I am not a doctor but I have studied pharmacology I wish you the best of luck don't give up and keep trying also these amphetamine based medicines deplete you of major nutrients so make sure you're eating plenty of healthy food fruits vegetables yogurt etc.

Hi,
What type are you referring to tablets or capsules? Instant release or extended release?

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD my doc prescribe me Ritalin the pharmacy gave me the genetic brand Methylphenidate 20mg ER (LA) caps Mfc Actavis. The first day it was ok, made me feel a little more energy, more focus, but also kinda jittery, the fallowing days I didn't even feel anything other than some anxiety and loss of appetite, I was supposed to take them for a month but after taking them for 15 days I decided they were not doing anything for me, except making me want to take Xanax (which I am also prescribed for anxiety) I normally don't take it unless I really need it and just tiny dosages. Anyways went back to my doc. Told him Ritalin wasn't working for me and I wanted to try Adderall; my doc prescribe me Adderall XR 25 mg capsules. I fill my scrip at Walgreens they gave me the Genetic brand (is the one my insurance covers) the pharmacy gave me D-Amphetamine salt combo XR 25 mg caps manufacture by TEVA. Today is my second day taking it, first day I kinda felt it....feel a bit more alert and focus, but definitely not what I was expecting, second day,.....I didn't really notice any effects it was like I hadn't taken anything....It made me feel, kinda jittery and anxious. Has anyone taking this specific dosage and brand before? How did it work for you? How long are they supposed to take for you to feel the effects...an hour? Should I take them for like a week to fully see results? What's the best genetic Adderall? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. I been obsessed searching about this since I got them, I have read so many negatives reviews about the genetic brands but I can't afford the brand name ones :(

Instant release 30mg oval orange (b 974) footballs , had cor pharm pink before seemed work better these orange made by teva seem weaker . Looking all over feedback wveryone says teva orange footballs the #1 pref

A lot old years ago posts of teva orange > cor pharm pink

2016 posts hint it's switched to pink > teva

Thinking the additive an fillers effect each person differently also but deeper searches say unless sensitive to fillers shud have no issue

Already made complaint with FDA teva oval b 974 mite switch back ASAP in two more weeks, yawning an tired after after taking full day dose (60mg IR) cuz prescribed 2 30s daily, that's not normal an pinks gave me energy an helped focus

No new posts can help still, frustrate as all he'll still...my two posts are by *boiling mad* & *teva* -feedback....

Any help feedback anything man ! Personally would u pick pink or oval ??? Only two options no real adderall to expensive so these two all I can pick

TY LOTS ( even take 3,000mg calcium antacid supplement 10mins prior to dose to increase absorption) frustrating as hell man thank u

I'm having the same problem with my hair. It is falling out and handfuls, especially when I'm in the shower. I am currently taking corepharma and my scalp feels like it's on fire. I've been tested for lupus, hormone levels, thyroid levels, I even had my scalp biopsied. Everything is coming back normal. The only thing it could possibly be is the Adderall

30mg orange teva are the best. The pink 30mg are useless. My doc said teva has less additives than any other. Works great for me.

Is there any new OCT. 2016 messages? I started with 30 mg Sandoz & it worked great. Now CVS has been giving me Mylan Round peach. Not working, depression even more, I ordered Sandoz again. As far as Hair Lose, I never thought it was from that. My dr. Said its from my Thyroid, taking Synthroid, which its obvious I need to take. Sandoz, in my opinion, is the most effective generic Adderall. Is there anyone else who think the same as I do?

well for what my opinions worth.... ive been prescribed Adderall for over a year....and I'm currently taking 30mg twice a day...oddly I've never tried sandoz brand...

started with orange round AURO BINDO first ever seemed great now who knows...

then pink cor pharma...energy up. motivation up, worked best...

now I've been suffering with orange oval teva football shaped. completely different then the pink ones without question..

I've done so much research on this whole generic topic it makes me sick... constantly ive must of searched everywhere.... nothing's the same, just some consistency in info...

some say fillers effect folks differently but further discovery claims only affecting folks with sensitivities to meds.

I have read a ton of stuff an every thing concerning sandoz brand is always the most preferred brand through out the years up till 2016....teva has changed its formula as I'm sure they all do, but the amount of info on sandoz brand they have been the most consistent. as a person with similar problems, I would highly recommend trying a few things...

don't wait on a stupid Pharmacy to get an order in. most don't give a flying s*** about a patient an their needs anyway, contact every pharmacy in your reach requesting an order of this brand as it's the only one working.... and/or speak with ur doctor immediately. I also understand being afraid of bringing up the topic of generics being completely inconsistent because I've argued with pharmacy techs when they tried saying they're all the same....(my ass).

when I got stuck with teva from cor pharma, I basically had no option till next script as I already filled it, so increasing absorption rate did helped a bit....(taking 3 tablets of Antacid Calcium Supplement 1,000mg about 10-15 mins before dose as it eliminates acid in the stomach increasing the % actually absorbed).

yes, for a brand that is effective this could be unnecessary, but when it's highly ineffective and there's no returns gotta do what ya gotta do.

call multi-pharms for sandoz brand, I hope this post helped even 1 of you. I apologize for lacking much help.

-chin up, never give up!

FYI: I'm an old fart (60) single dad with ADHD inattentive and two "older" kids (16 and 21), both with ADHD and comorbids (other side issues) as well. I've been dealing with all aspects of this for myself and them for a long time; both when I was employed w/good insurance and the last few years, unemployed with basically worthless high deductible insurance (no adult Medicaid in TX). I'm still learning after all these years and things do differ for individuals, but here's my (overly long) 2 cents.

Rant: It's an absurd "system" we have to deal with and it will only get worse (how much will depend largely where you live, your state). Not getting the ACA (or any of the previous attempts back to Prez Truman's time) "right" will make it much worse for all health issues, not just ours in the coming years. There will "never" be a "good' national system, strong state's rights, general distrust, plus individual and special interests will always defeat it (I'd love to be wrong on this but....). The insurance companies basically control our ability to get the help we need and since none of them are non-profit's now and all are publicly traded, the only thing that matters is the next quarterly report. That is their fiduciary duty and our burden (unless you're a stockholder).

The big pharma companies of course are structured the same way but they aren't the ones that determine the price tiers (though they'll push the prices as much as possible). For "us" it's most likely that the "brand" would be the "best" for the vast majority. But the vast majority have no access due to cost so we're stuck with generics and a lack of regulations (or more importantly, enforcement) that would keep the formulation consistent in production. Locally, we're at the mercy of pharmacy chains that for the most part are also focused completely on lowest cost since ordering/purchasing is now largely centralized. Most local chain pharmacists have no choice (many are also pretty ignorant on our needs which isn't surprising with the thousands of different meds they deal with). The change that really limits "best" choice for an individual is the disappearance of many/most chain pharmacy locations ability to "special order". That is costly in a centralized system so if you still have it, use it. Here (north of Dallas), no CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, Tom Thumb/Safeway, etc. can special order like they used to. Maybe it's different in your locale but if so, don't expect it to last.

Current situation: I found salvation at an independent, single location, "mom and pop" pharmacy a few months back that somehow I'd missed in my searching. Actually I assumed for a long time that they'd be just like the others. Boy was I wrong. They're the only ones within 10-15 miles (that I'm aware of) that will keep Sandoz (IR 30mg twice a day) in stock for me. I tried some other independents with no luck. Many are so hard-pressed to keep themselves in business competing with the chains, they "have to go with the cheapest (Mylan, Core Pharma, etc.).

As many have mentioned, something has changed with the generic TEVA (Walgreens main/only generic) and not for the better. I used to count on them as a workable backup to Sandoz but my last experience about 6 mos ago was not good (before discovering "Nirvana"). Each refill was "worse" over a 3 month period. Core Pharma (round pink) must have changed for the better in the last year or so. They used to be useless or worse (zombieland) but I haven't used them or Auro, etc. in over a year. I tried a number of them after my local Safeway/Tom Thumb stopped carrying Sandoz and lost the ability to special order. None of the chain pharms in my area carry Sandoz or will/can special order. You need to ask both questions (call or best is to go during "slow" time, many Pharm Techs won't know which generic IR is stocked and what the special order policy is and many Pharmacists can't take the time, especially with a call, during rush hours. If you find a good place, give them all your business and refer them to others. It makes a difference.

The strange part with TEVA is they're actually the owners/producers of the Adderall brand (got it when they bought Barr years back. If you go back further in the postings, someone gave some good history, etc. on all that. You would think they'd produce the "best" generic but I think it's "pharmed" out while they just produce the Brand time-release (gold standard which I've never been able to try). For me and my family, Sandoz has consistently worked best for a generic and though I don't have current data, they were always the "cleanest" as far as fillers. Of course I can't find any of my comparative data that I collected when needed.

With Mylan, remember they're the monsters (IMHO) producing the Epi-Pen with the higher and higher costs and so much more. There's very good material out there on their marketing and state/national lobbying wins. They now see the generic Adderall (and other meds) as ones they can exploit. They appear to be low-balling the pharmas out of India (Core and 2 or 3 others) who were the low-cost leaders, to gain market share, e.g. a systemwide deal with CVS. Their only interest is self-interest and that's what we, as a society allow them to do. From a purely business point-of-view, it makes sense, the amount CVS charges you for 30, 30mg IR generics will be basically the same (set by insurance), no matter the brand, so if they're looking at stocking Sandoz vs Mylan or Core or....that costs them 20, 30, 40, 50% or whatever % less, what decision is going to get the chain buyer a bonus and promotion? For the buyer, the buyer's boss and her boss, there is no decision. If you're against what Mylan has done and will continue to do (Congress will do nothing), vote with your feet and don't buy it (even if it worked) and pull any other prescriptions out of CVS and let them know it's in protest of Mylan's way of doing business.

If you're lucky to be in a fairly urban/suburban area with a good number of pharmacies, do like others have said and go shopping, just don't forget to be nice and help them help you. Also, don't forget to vote, especially in local elections :-).

I have narcolepsy cataplexy . This year have taken pills from 2 different brands of generic adderall. My hair is falling out. I hurt more, the bottom 8f my feet hurt, my hands hurt. My temperature changes too get very hotb and sweaty. My mouth is dry and my eyes hurt all the time. Im trying to explain this to my sleep dr. I can sorta stay awake enough to get a few things done.

My hair is falling out too. I take a generic addell . I'm very dizzy on this drug . How do i know I stopped taking it and my dizzyness was not a problem . Unfortunately I can't stay awake without out. Found some old Vyvance pills didn't have any dizzy problems .

On the generic adderall I felt sick to my stomach . Now i know why so many people are so many meds . For instance the gerneric adderall makes me edgy and anxious . went to a dr for another problem he thought i had anxiety and I should be on Xanax .

If this is a new thing for you taking generic adderall, don't take the sandoz. They are way too potent and strong. I would advise trying the barr or teva or mallinckrodt and if those don't work then ask for sandoz or brand name adderally. I'd tell you why if I had the time to write a novel, but I don't and so you just have to trust and take my word for it. I've been on adderall meds since I was diagnosed in college at age 20. I'm 39 now so it's been almost 20 years experience i have and Ive been through sandoz, Barr, Watson, teva, mallinckrodt and concerta for a very brief time. I know that should you have to ever take a drug panel or get pulled over and they want to draw blood or U/A it's very possible it won't matter even if you have a prescription written by a doctor that will not matter as far as the courts are concerned. As far as getting a job though it's best to try not to take any meds for at least 3 days before you give a sample because it's just better to not have to worry about proving it and I don't care what anybody says there is so much bad stigma regarding this drug because of abuse and people dying who shouldn't have been on it in the first place you just don't need to let anyone know you are taking it. EVER!! Except doctors and dentists and your parents.

The only brand that doesn't produce horrific side-effects is Sandoz that is hard to find if at all. Core is horrible and Teva, not only does not impact ADD, I thought I was having a heartattack or some other severe illness ... only when I had my RX filled and it was Sandoz did I realize IMMEDIATELY Teva brand was what I thought a severe health problem for more than a year!

I have been prescribed Adderall 30mg's for well over 15 years. My experience in effectiveness is;
#1 SANDOZ/EON
#2 TEVA/BARR (although they used to be the most effective until they changed the ingredients around 1-2 years ago).
#3 MALLINCKRODT (but only if the other 2 are not available. They are much weaker.)
#4 COREPHARMA - By FAR the WORST! Evil, Speed! I'll do without rather than fill my script with those!

curious how old you area and your weight to be taking the dosage you mentioned of 30 mg times 3 daily. I've been taking Dexedrine so long the dosage I'm on does virtually nothing which is exactly half (2 15 mgs in the am and 1 15 mg in the afternoon. But I sometimes take one right before I go to sleep to help me NOT oversleep or not be able to wake up with the alarm goes off. I sleep perfectly fine and I can wake up within 3-5 hours and be fine. So I started taking it like that because it doesn't help me get anything done during the day and as it's suppose to because the dose is too low. So I was just curious to hear more and to also know what dosages others are on.

I have searched the internet for more information about the generic adderall brands and I have one, unsurprising, conclusion. What works for one person does not work for everyone.
I have ADHD and my first prescription of adderall XR was filled using Actavis. My dosage was found by trial and error with this brand. I take 20mg in the am and 20mg at 1pm and I function like a "normal" person. When I refilled in September, I was given Global. This generic at the same dose does nothing for me except to make me extremely irritable. I am hyper and unfocused but also cranky and sad and angry, all the time.
I don't think this is a discussion of Actavis is better or worse. I think if I started out by taking Global I might have found a dose that works for me with this med and changing to any other would be an issue. It is difficult to say. What I can say for sure is that all generics ARE different. You cannot go based off of reviews but have to see what works for you. My local CVS is willing to order the brand preference that I need. Talk to your pharmacist if something doesn't seem right. Don't wait like I did - it made me have a miserable month :(
