Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 12)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

I use to get the Teva brand from CVS in MA but they replaced it with Mylan which I find awful! Have you found another store that carries the Teva brand?

Walgreen's has the Teva 30mg Instant release. The bottle I got from Walmart was Teva but I believe it was a bad batch.

My insurance wanted to pay for the name brand adderall xr. This was a blessing since the company Shire was still manufacturing it, trouble with this only one family drug store has it. I called every where looking for the name brand. I then called Shire and received excellent customer service and they are the one who told me the one and only drug store that had their brand in my home town.

I have been getting a generic adderall XR 20mg from a local pharmacy family owned. Do to emergency I had my husband pick up my script from CVS. The pills were blue Blue capsules, when I usually had burnt orange color red capsules. I have taken the blue on for 3 days now and have gotten a headache in the evening for 2 days now. I am looking for the company name on the RX bottle. It is not on there. I hate taking this but it makes a world of difference with work life. Do not buy CVS, the generic drugs are just not the same. I will be reporting this to the FDA if that does any good. I have tried to take this med just Monday thru Friday but I just sleep the whole weekend. I feel awful and can't wait to get off this stuff hoping to find something else!

I agree with Peter Anderson... I think the pink tabs which have cor 136 on them are waaaaaay better than their orange counterparts. One side effect I get from adderall is an extremely high libido. Does anyone else have similar side effects? Todd, Weymouth Ma.

You need to get the logo # off of the pill then just type it in and put in the letters and or the numbers to find out who the manufacturer is. The absolute best brand of the Adderall XR is Shire the original name brand manufacturer.

I agree Sandoz is for better, but almost impossible to get, everybody carries Teva/Barr. Barr was just as effective as sandoz until they merged with Teva.

I consider myself to be somewhat of an experienced adderall patient. I'm prescribed 3-30mg Immediate Release a day. And I'm a firm believer that the round orange adderall, which have the markings M A30 on one side and perfs on the other and are carried by CVS, are BY FAR the absolute worst adderall on the market. They are followed by the oval orange "Teva" and carried by Walgreens, in a close race for 2nd place. The best, and most effective, most bang for your buck, are without question the pink round adderall with cor 136 on one side and perfs on the other. These are carried by RITE-AID ONLY.

Cvs switched to mylan i had every generic teva is my favorite n i take clonazepam n found teva better too. Teva the best then corepharma or sandoz malicolt mylan all terrible headaches tevas are the smoothest then corepharma there just weaker imo kpins i like teva then qualitest but i switched from teva to qualitest no drop off the sandoz are ok just not as good but i wont take mylan watson i try to get teva all teva meds i had work great mylan stink i try to get sandoz synthoid the mylans just are weaker.

I agree. It's been more and more difficult "here" (north of DFW in TX) finding a pharmacy that stocks Sandoz or will special order. All of the chain pharmacies around here (including grocery stores, etc.) stopped doing special orders over a year ago and all have centralized their purchasing to focus on the cheapest for them including Core, Mallinckrodt and now, Mylan. I've had to use Teva at Walgreens as a very distant 2nd until I "discovered" (forgot it was there) a local, "family" pharmacy under my nose, only a few miles away. They had my Sandoz 30mg IR in stock and promised to keep it that way. Yay "Community Pharmacy" (real name) on Justin Rd. in Lewisville, TX. A small independent pharmacy (if you can find one!) may be your best bet. It was so wonderful to feel the brain sludge lift, feel clear and focused and motivated again. Your mileage may vary.

I agree. Actavis is complete trash. I had the worst reaction, all my ADD symptoms and chronic fatigue was greatly increased to the point where I was unable to move out of bed. I sent a complaint to the manufacturer.

TEVA and Barr are one in the same. TEVA is the parent company to Barr. Barr adderall is generally easy to find however I have noticed that my pharmacy will change generic medications periodically without telling me and even fill a scrip for my adderall with a generic other than Barr (Teva) even when my script says specifically "Teva only". After questioning the pharmacist about this I got the impression that they weren't even aware that TEVA and Barr were the same nor the fact that other generics could have such drastic differences in how they worked for some patients. Of course the difference in how generic adderall works from patient to patient is subjective but if you take in to account the different fillers used in the different generics it would be reasonable to assume that the way people metabolize each different generic adderall would be different as well.

Adderall - so much confusion

where does one find generic IR adderall in Salt Lake by Sandoz labs? most pharmacies rely upon suppliers or distributors other than going direct. its the effect of globalization--not so good for generic adderall usage.

there are distinct and distinguishable differences in generics. first, the FDA allows knock off generics to vary their primary ingredient by as much as 20%! on a milli-molar scale, that's HUGE! second, binders and fillers can be and ARE different from manufacturer to manufacturer. one company may have 11 ingredients as binders and fillers--a competing company 17.

those who bemoan generic users as complaining about psychosomatic illusions--are illiterate and ignorant. its like a russian roulette cocktail out there with little accountability.

I agreed whole heartedly with those who chimed in about their druthers for the Cor 136, buuuut that was only until last month when they gave me a batch with the same inscription but slightly different look! The color is a loooot lighter pink and the back is not rounded like my old one. The look might only be slightly different, but the feel is DRASTICALLY different as in non-existent and giving me side effects I've never had like finger numbness. Has anyone else had this experience?

Pink tabs are literally placebo in my experience. Ive been on orange tablets sandoze for a few yrs but teva pink n orange suck in my opinion

Take 2 tablets right away that should work, and then when u see ur Dr. tell him to up the does to 20 MG and always fill at Walgreens they have the best generic pills out of those other pharmacys. I would not take anything other than the PEACH 30 MG Adderall. PEACH PEACH PEACH!!!!
