Beline Capsules (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I have ankylosing spondylitis and have been taking Beline capsules for nine months with remarkable results. I am largely pain free with an all round feel good benefit. Even a very long standing skin rash has disappeared. When I stop taking them the pain returns quite noticeably. Nonetheless I have strong reservations about herbal medications and intend to consult with my Rheumatologist shortly. Pity!!!

Hi, are you still taking Be line? Have you had any nasty side effects? I have tried to do without them, but have had to start back on them - one every 2-3 days give some relief. I am afraid to take them more often.

Thank you Wong for your input on Beline. My feeling is the negative reports come from the drug companies. They scare people into to taking drugs rather than trying natural remedies such as beline.I'm sure there will be far more side effects from chenical drugs as opposed to herbs.

My Consultant is a top Rheumatologist who I see privately, He has me on 10mg. of Metrotextrate once a week which showed some help. He is happy for me to also take beline capsules ( I take 1 a day ) and these show wondrous improvement. For instance I could not pick up a cup of water with my right hand but now can pick up 1 cwt. bag of fertiliser. Other friends with bad symptoms are also taking beline with fantastic improvement to their mobility and their golf. Having had TOP Consultants advice I cannot understand the problems. (I appreciate that I am 79 and my life span is dwindling anyway.) Better to be mobile than the alternative.

I was diagnosed with RA and have been taking beline since last November. It is a miracle product. My herbalist says he can see nothing in the capsules that can harm and he uses the listed herbs all the time.I have given packets to friends who are suffering and they have found them same relief. It has transformed my life. If you are on pharmactical drugs I think you have to ask what side effects are you going to get these drugs?

I also have RA and was taking Beline. However, due to the findings I stopped taking them even though I was free of pain. I have had lumbar injections instead which were cortisone. Same effect as Beline. I have heard of a friend taking Celabolin which she says takes away her pain but can find out nothing about this supposedly natural product. It contains Celadrin.

If withdrawls are really bad, & this drug herb" works really good... I was wondering if it has some type cortisone, steroid as prednisone etc. not worth taking without knowing what it contains!

Jerry, it all depends. When taken as directed it may be safe to continue, HOWEVER, based on what I have gathered in this thread, you should not suddenly discontinue use. If you are thinking of stopping then wean yourself down gradually. If I were you I'd also look into whether the ingredients have any implications when taken over the long term.

I would just like to add that I have been taking Beline Capsules for 1 year. I am 41 and I suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Although I was warned by my specialist not to take them I have had to go back to Beline to cope with the pain and inflammation. They have miraculousl changed mine and some of my families lives and I can now function and look after my family again. I feel extremely cross that we have had the right to purchase this product in the UK taken away. I have been honest with my local GP and told him that I have had to go back to taking them because of the medication my specialist has given me does not work. He has checked my blood every two weeks for the last six months as I take Methotrexate and has assured me that there is nothing untoward in them. My doctor is pleased that I have found something to help.

I've now finally seen a doctor and managed to come off beline, he's prescribed me indomethacin 75 mg at night and 10mg of prednisilone in the morning. That seems to have worked. My mind was made to come off after contacting the danish agency direct. They sent me lots of details of their testing and results, the three different packs tested along with expiry dates and where they obtained them from. I would suggest if people themselves are unsure then they should also contact the danish agency, the contact emails and telephone numbers are on their website next to the warning

I also today came across this new press release from the MHRA

We continue to take Beline, for me there are no side effects, and although I have cut down the capsules to one in three days I still feel great benefit from this.
My only concern is that my husband does require a stronger dose to deal with his inflammatory arthritis but sadly seems to suffer from acid reflux as a side effect from the Beline.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how have you dealt with it?
We still believe in Beline and hope to continue with the capsules.

The post from Wong was very interesting. Can you confirm your credentials. How would you explain the side effects people are suffering, like withdrawal symptons, leg cramps.

Maybe you could do some research on the contents yourself as you are qualified?

Here's an interesting article, the Chinese has been using arsenic for thousands of years as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now, it has been proven to cure blood cancer.
reuters.com/article/2010/04/09/us-arsenic-blood-idUSTRE6383HG20100409

"Unlike chemotherapy, the side effects of arsenic (in treating acute promyelocytic leukemia) are very low. There is no hair loss or suppression of bone marrow (function)."

I am a Chinese Physician from Hong Kong. I recently came across this thread and would also like to comment in it. I myself have been taking Beline for more than 10 years and I do not suffer from any of the side effects as claimed. It seems that many people do not understand how Chinese Herbs works.

There are naturally occurring reactions that herbs produce while they interact during the mixing process. These reactions in the mixed herbs are responsible for the healing process after one consumes the Chinese herbs. Similarly, when herbs are paired correctly they are able to cancel out the unwanted/negative properties within each herb while retaining the healing properties to help treat patients.

I cannot comment if Beline contains the Danish claimed ingredients, but there are a few points that provoked some thoughts.

1) If Betamethasone - steroid is found in Beline, can steroid alone produce the same effective results as Beline?

2) Oxetacaine, Betamethasone, Piroxicam, Chlorphenamine. Is it possible to concoct the same efficacy as Beline by just mixing the above 4 ingredients?

3) Is there any medicine/drug in the market that is able to produce the same effect as Beline?

I hope the above generates some thoughts about Chinese medicine that works in a different way compared to Western medicine.

Hi Jay,

I asked my mother, and the 2nd doctor (in Norway) said to take 4 x 5mg of the steroid but that was too much for her and she couldn't sleep, so she is taking it 3 times a day.

The doctor also said that the anti-inflammatory contained in Beline is dangerous and was banned in Norway.

Thanks Frank, I went down to one capsule. That seemed to be ok, then after a few days took one every other day. Suddenly I started feeling very weak and nauseous and my arthritis got so bad I could hardly move so I'm back up to 2 tablets a day again and things have settled. Spoke to my doctor before and he just gave me some diclofenic which didn't really help, will pay a return visit as I may need some low dose steroids to stop as you suggest. Hope your mother gets better

Hi Jay

That was what the doctor in Ireland said to her.

Anyway she is now abroad and a few days ago was still feeling bad so she went to a doctor where she is. This doctor said she needs 4 tablets of the low dose steroid a day instead of the 2 that the first doctor prescribed.

Now, a few days later and on the higher dose, she is feeling ok again.

The doctor also said withdrawals are going to be different for each person.

If you haven't yet seen a doctor Jay, I guess that's your best option.

Frank
