Woke two days ago w numb stumps for hands and feet. NOW I realize probably Transient Ischemia. Had to hold on to everything t make it to b room. Lightheadedness came back. All night Thur and all day and night Fri, BP very high for me. Atenolol not working. If I had been thinking straight, would have called 911, but, not. It's fluctuating. Am very thin. In much pain. I think Norco may be culprit. But why did it just start? ## You should report this to your doctor, so they can evaluate you to make sure nothing serious/dangerous is going on. Are you on any other medications, aside from those you mentioned? How much Norco do you take? There is a chance that some of what you experienced were due to side effects from it, Hydrocodone itself is more commonly known to cause low blood pressur...
1 REPLY UpdatedMy 10 year old accidently took a double dose of 50mg of atenolol. 6 hours apart. He has aortic stenoses ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? When in doubt, it is always best to contact poison control, or your nearest emergency services department. Given his age, taking a double dose could cause dangerously low blood pressure and heart rate, according to the U.S. FDA. Did he experience any adverse effects? At 10 years old, it might be best if you took control of the medication, rather than letting him dose himself. ## I am 66 years old. I took 25 mg atenolol at noon time and by mistake I took it again after 10 hours. ## I accidentally took two doses of my 50 mg atenolol and it's been about four hours now. Will I be alright? ## I took 50 mg twice by mistake I am 92 yrs old
4 REPLIES UpdatedWhich is better for Atenolol? Teva or Zydus? Which works better? Which has less side effects? Teva is a smaller pill than Zydus. ## Hello Grammy, Both brands should have the same side effects because Atenolol is the active ingredient and Teva/Zydus are only the brands. Every person reacts to medication uniquely and thus each person is going to have to decide which brand works best for them. Although they share the same active ingredient, often brands will have small differences such as size, inactive ingredients, shape, coating etc. I will provide you with some of these details I sourced from the NIH so you can make a more informed decision on which you would prefer to take. Teva 25mg size: 6mm Inactive ingredients: - Anhydrous Citric Acid - Croscarmellose Sodium - Magnesium Stearate - ...

5 REPLIES UpdatedLittle white pill with MP 9 on it, what is it? ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Atenolol (25 mg). To view information about Atenolol, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## Hello. I have a white round pill. It has an M score P imprint on one side, and a 10 imprint on the other. Any idea what this medication is? ## 10mg of methylphenidate/ritalin. Difficult to find using a normal pill identifier, but you will find it when using a pill identifier from the country it is manufactured, sold, or prescribed in. (Quite the hassle) However, I have confirmed it with a pharmacist, as 10mg of methylphenidate/ritalin.
3 REPLIES UpdatedI have dry mouth, cold feet/hands, real tired/all the time, Do you know of anything to help with this. ## At first I thought you might be showing signs of Iron or B12 deficiency, but you are definitely experiencing the side effects of Atenolol. Please follow the link below and scroll down to the section called Side Effects, as it shows all the side effects you are coping with: I think the obvious solution is to consult your doctor and hopefully find a replace so you can discontinue using this horrible medication. There are plenty of natural (side effect free) methods to control and lower high blood pressure. I know this from personal experience. Please post back if you have any questions or concerns regarding this. ## thank you for your input on the side -effects of Atenolol. You also me...
9 REPLIES Updatedlittle white pill ## Are you sure it doesn't say Dan 5782? If so, then you have Atenolol 50mg and Chlorthalidone 25mg, generic for Tenoretic. Tenoretic is a beta-blocker blood pressure medication with a water pill in it to bring high blood pressure down. Side effects include dizziness, blurred vision, drowsiness, among other side effects. ## The identification provided is correct. This medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. NDC: 00591-5782 The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension. 2 REPLIES UpdatedHi, my mom was prescribed 50mg of Atenolol to take every morning. I did as always but today I accidentally gave her another dose of it, mistaking it for her other diabetic medicine. Any problem with that? ## I accidentally took 2 of 100mg atenolol by mistake ## Taking too much Atenolol could result in worsening side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and increased lowering of blood pressure, and heart rate. Thus, it is best to keep an eye on the person to watch for any danger signs, such as problems breathing, dizziness, fainting, or extreme fatigue. Please double check with your respective doctors to be sure of what you should do. Are you on any other medications?

2 REPLIES UpdatedJust coming off Bisoprolol and Amiodarone and going back to Atenolol. I currently have bad problems with sleeping as I wake up at 5am. What could cause this problem? ## Even when you don't abuse a medication, and aren't addicted to it, you do develop a tolerance to anything you take for awhile, so it is normal to experience some withdrawal effects when coming off of it, you can also experience side effects from going back on the Atenolol, even if you took it, previously, and both of these can include trouble sleeping, as well as blood pressure changes, dizziness, and heart rate changes. It may take a few weeks, before things settle back down, and your sleeping schedule improves. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for advice will try and be patient with the Aten...

Can I take Atenolol also (along with using Telma 40) for reducing my blood pressure? ## Has your doctor told you to take both of them? Multiple medications are often prescribed to help lower someone's blood pressure as fast and as safely as possible. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. 3 REPLIES UpdatedMy name Gloria. 75 years. Have High blood pressure For years prescribed Pharmapress 20 mg. Atenolol 50mg and Ridac water pill. Dr took away Ridac and replaced it with Amlodipine5mg once a day. My ankles look swollen and i am putting on weight. Dr said the Ridac takes away the Calcium out of my bones. I really feel I should be taking the waterpill. Please advice urgently. Thankyou. ## Hi Gloria, Sorry to hear about your situation with Amlodipine. "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. So fortunately, you may have to talk to your doctor about discontinuing it anyways if the swelling doesn't subside. Hopefully then, he might reconsider putting you back on the water pill with a calcium supplement. There are als...

1 REPLY UpdatedWhat is a small white round tablet with GG 269 on it? ## I believe the original imprint posted here is incorrect. There are a couple of possible tablets which are likely what is being asking about. The first one is a round white tablet with GG 296 on it. That is Loratadine 10 mg (NDC 0781-5077). It's an antihistamine "used to temporarily relieve the symptoms of hay fever (allergy to pollen, dust, or other substances in the air) and other allergies." [1] Inactive ingredients: - Lactose Monohydrate - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato And the second one is a round white tablet with imprint GG 264. Given his age, that could also make them worse. Thus, it would be best to consult his doctor to be safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Not sure if I accidentally took a double dose of atenolol or not, which would be 75mg with the mistake, instead of 37.50 mg normally.
