It's a small round yellow pill about the size of an aspirin. Both sides are slightly beveled out (NOT FLAT) and only one side is scored in the middle. There are no other markings on the pill. The 10-month-old dog we adopted had a slight cough and we were given these pills from the rescue... ## Hello Brian, I am sorry to say but without an imprint there is really no way to tell you what kind of medication that you were given. The pill bottle/box that your medication came in is supposed to be labeled with the ingredients in case of an overdose, if this is not the case your rescue has made an error. Your only real option at this point is to contact the rescue to ask them what it is. As a side note, did the rescue or a vet mention that the puppy has kennel cough? ## I don’t know w...

I take a one pad of cortal daily as contraceptive ## And I find it necessary to inform you that this medication WILL NOT prevent pregnancy, it IS NOT an effective contraceptive. There are many people that believe that a product containing Aspirin will prevent pregnancy, BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE! It is a myth/old wives tale! Aspirin DOES NOTHING to prevent fertilization and implantation of your egg. If you continue with this and are sexually active, YOU WILL GET PREGNANT! If Aspirin were an effective method of birth control, women all over the world would be using it and not spending a lot more money, every month, for prescriptions and visits to their doctor. The only way Aspirin may effect a pregnancy is because it is a blood thinner. It will NOT prevent a pregnancy, but if, for some reason...

what is the difference between ecosprin 150 mg and ecosprin AV 20 150mg? what are the side effects if taken prolonged? ## Ecosprin is listed as containing the active ingredient Aspirin, while Ecosprin AV contains Aspirin and Atorvastatin, so while the first can help with blood thinning and heart health, the one with Atorvastatin can also help lower cholesterol levels. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, easy bruising, and joint muscle aches. While there may be some risks associated with long-term use, such as liver or kidney damage, it would be far more risky to stop the medication against your doctor's advice, since blood clotting and elevated cholesterol levels could lead to fatal conditions. Are you...

I'm in my 21st week of pregnancy and my doc advised me to take ecosprin 75 before sleeping. She said I had a little bit of uterine artery resistance on one side. Can u explain why and how escoprin will clear my problem? ## Ecosprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. In this dose and in cases like yours, it is used for its blood thinning properties, to help increase blood flow. With this artery resistance, it can inhibit blood flow to that side of the uterus and proper blood flow is vital to the baby for their health and survival. When you lay down to sleep, all of your weight is basically just completely resting and can further constrict the blood flow. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. ## i...

Earlier I was advised to take Ecosprin AV150 and I am taking the medicine for over 9 years. Now I am advised by the doctor to change it to Clopitab A75.As such I am not having colostral. Kindly let me know the difference between Clopitab A 75 and Ecosprin AV 150. The same was advised when I visited the doctor for a routine check-up and informed the doctor that nowadays I am very weak. Kindly advice. Thank you ## Ecosprin AV contains Aspirin and Atorvastatin, while Clopitab A contains Aspirin and Clopidogrel, so yes, it does lack the medication that helps lower cholesterol. However, if your doctor has advised you to switch, due to the weakness you are feeling, then you should follow their instructions. Atorvastatin has been known to cause weakness in some people that take it. Clopitab A ...

I found white pills with RF 21 written on them in my partner's bag and got worried about the use of them. Can anyone help me identify these? ## Hi Jozzie, Could you be talking about a white round pill with RF 27 inscribed instead of RF 21? If so, the pill is Chloroquine Phosphate 250 mg (NDC 63304-460). My period has been delayed for 4 days. We had sex on january 16th. If i take cortal will i have my menstrual period? Please answer me. ## Cortal contains the active ingredient Aspirin, this is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. It will not prevent pregnancy and using it to try to miscarry can be very dangerous. It causes blood thinning, that is the only way it can have any effect if you are pregnant and it could result in your bleeding to death. Aspirin sized, blank on one side. Other side has an upside down triangle above the number 36 on it. ANYONE know exactly what this is?? ## Hi Dawn, based on what you're describing, I am pretty sure that it's an over the counter herbal product called Valerin (manufactured by Wonder Labs). This product is supposed to contain Magnesium Carbonate, Passiflora, and Valerian Root - a natural treatment indicated to relieve and relax muscle spasms, cramps, stress and tension. You can see a product image HERE - (check out the pill in the front of the box - it is tilted upside down but it appears to carry the inscription of an upside down triangle over the number 36).
